You are the Windows 10 GURU indeed. I disabled SmartScreen in Windows Defender and added all users with full permissions to the access control list and none of it worked. I did what you showed and rebooted and I am up and running. Thanks my friend.
Thank you so much. I had several apps I needed to uninstall, but I kept getting the blocked error message. I changed the UAC , but that did not work. Tried your method and then went back and was able to uninstall all of those apps.

I got the prompt to restart, but it disappeared too fast, so I just closed all programs down and did a cold boot. The fix would not apply: I still was being blocked by User Account Control. I set the value back to 1, rebooted, and then started the fix from the beginning again, but this time being quick to click on that quick-vanishing "restart" warning. This time the fix worked and I was able to install my driver program. Thank you, Windows 10 guru, for getting me up and running again.

It worked! I somehow have an empty Administrator account now, while my normal account was Administrator... but I've had weird windows 10 problems lately anyways. It kept creating invisible users with invisible password, when making new passwords... and had to clean install my pc with a password I had used 5 years ago
Or just open Powershell as admin and type: cd "path to folder where .exe is" Start-Process -filepath ".\******.exe" Without changing registry and rebooting :)

Back story....... 4 nights ago, I was wanting to create a for sale add on a vehicle that I own with pictures from my phone, My aunt said that she could do it easily! So we proceeded to transfer pics to my pc and at the same time create the sale add. When she finished the add and got out of the program there was a small screen that showed picture files being transferred and it would take 30 seconds. Well the pc seemed to be froze up bcs the next morning it was still in the same mode. She went into the task manager to end the process and as soon as she did the screen went black and has blocked me out of the administrator side. My mother has worked tirelessly on teying to do everything to fix the issue, she's even tried this method in your tutorial NOTHING HAS WORKED. IM FED UP! I told her to just stop and lets throw this pc in the garbage and get another bcs if we completely disconnect our pc from a power source then it screws up her chance on getting into her side bcs she cannot remember her password login or anything to gain access to her side! Otherwise we would have just took it to a repair shop bcs Hp and microsoft has been no help at all, they dont return phone calls and trying to speak to a virual agent is like talking to a rock!!! Please help! I have a ron of important files that Im blocked from accessing!
If you have computer admin try changing the permissions for the section (right-click on the folder that the key you are trying to access is in, then click permissions, advanced, and change the owner to yourself.
followed your video, it didn't say blocked anymore. I am trying to install my sims2 games after getting a windows 10 pc. The base game is installed . The others install then I am asked to put in sims disc 4 to update after which it says ' the update process did not complete successfully, installation will terminate. FRUSTRATED, HELP!

I did this and it worked well. I got my Sims 2 installed. I went back and changed it back like you suggested.

I am the administrator but for some reason, I get the pop up. I did this and i was able to download my game but how do you completely fix this problem
