  • Tiny Tim came to Tampa Florida in September of 1994 to record his album, Prisoner of Love (a tribute to Russ Columbo). While we had downtime, we would go to the parks and Tiny would tell stories, play his ukulele, sing songs and enjoy the sunshine. I asked him to discuss his first album, God Bless Tiny Tim (featuring Tiptoe thru the Tulips…which can be seen on this channel) and also his second album, Tiny Tim’s 2nd Album, both produced by Richard Perry. Concert In Fairyland was something Tiny jokingly recorded back in 1962, but resurfaced and was being used against him at the peak of his popularity. As Tiny discusses in this video, this was the beginning of the end of his career, at least as far as the major labels were concerned. Tiny shows a little love for Nilsson, Mario Lanza and Jerry Lee Lewis as well! Check out the other videos on the channel of Tiny chatting about his albums and singing songs! Thanks for watching! God Bless Tiny Tim!

I 100% agree that "Concert In Fairyland" killed Tiny's career. It was bought by boat loads of people who probably heard of Tiny, but didn't know his music. Upon hearing it, they decided he was just a bad joke and promptly forgot about him. Copies of this album are very common; almost as common as "God Bless", whereas copies of "Second Album" are comparatively rare. That speaks volumes.

Tiny seemed like an awesome guy with a lot of talent. My mom had his albums I loved him. When I got older and listened to Fairy land it didn’t live up to his potential. It reminds me of when Anna Nicole Smith was slurring and talking high pitched at a music awards show. These are awesome videos I can’t say I’ve seen him this candid.

This was back during the time that Tiny Tim was friends with Boyd Rice of NON fame and David Tibet from Current 93. Douglas P from Death In June didn't like Tiny Tim because Tiny Tim thought Douglas was degenerate. Now I want to watch that Tiny Tim horror movie, Blood Harvest I think. Boyd Rice said Tiny Tim always talked about how awesome Heaven was going to be, but his description of Heaven was the Garden of Earthly Delights, just sex and drinking beer without getting fat.

thanks to your work at least Tiny was once again able to engage with a project that spoke to him after all those decades in the musical wilderness. this comes out in the intimate nature of this footage which gets to the heart of the man - Tiny is completely relaxed so no filter. invaluable fresh information on Tiny & can't wait for more revelations from the Ponk Media archives 🫡🫡🫡
