DR #47 - Amplifier Stuck in Protection - Fixing an NAD 2200

This is a very short video documenting the repair of an NAD 2200 power amplifier stuck in protection mode. This can apply to many other audio amplifiers.

2:35 Important point to note: the schematic diagram has a big mistake. The pins from the regulator are mirrored. They must be marked as Pin 1:Input, Pin 2: GND and Pin 3: Output.

Great video! I’m surprised though that you replaced the 78xx using a thermal pad instead of thermal paste as pin 2 and the heat sink is connected
