Thanks so much Sam for giving us this video on taramps HD 10k I love the honest oppinion on full bridge brazillian power. So many ppl put these type of amps down and call them dirty distorted power . I have only had the best results from taramps like any big amp u if u feed it big clean power it will make big clean power.
Sam you are the best bro thank you for taking the time to show us the ropes I love your videos there so informative and you make it so exciting which is awesome bro! You should come to the USA and do a clinic charge like 25 per seat and you do you thing weather troubleshooting or going through what a well designed amp looks like compared to the average plane Jane board idk I think it would be so sick! I'd pay big money to meet you and I know atleast 8 friends that would pay to see you live
Hi Sam! IR25750 current sense IC is what you have there. I just finished up 2 HD15k's with the same topology. You should have 2.2 to 2.7vDC at the APC testpoint depending on if it is the 1 ohm or 2 ohm versions.
Glad to see the safety glasses being used. I had a MOSFET blow apart and nearly hit me in the eye over 10 - 15 years back (well, seen several blow apart, but that was a close call). I wore safety glasses after that. On another note, the fan in that thing sounds horrendous.
My Taramps, bass 8k went into protection mode. It melted one of my American bass 1522 coil ..crazy but true. Anyways the amp went into protection mode I disconnected all the powers and speaker wire. Purchase a new American bass XFL 1522 does not want to get out of protection mode. Is that something I can fix or do you know where I can send it out to get repaired? I live in Connecticut.
Good day my friend I watch your video all the time. I bought 2 PRV amp sq3500x one's. While they where powered up the RCA leads came off . The bout went in to protect and won't come out. Am so pist right now.please can u give me some ideas what to do to get them back up. Thank you. Am in Jamaica.
hey man. they will need output section repair im afraid. we dont get prv in the uk but they will be very similar to other brazilian boards by the looks of it.
Do you know what are replacement for this IR25750 chips? They also died in my HD8000 and there are discontinued. Amp gonna work without it, but it will turn off overcurrent protection
Hi I doubt anyone will respond but any help would be appreciated. I have a taramps md8000 and I’ve started having this issue where it works great but it will randomly go into protect except when I turn off my truck and turn it back on the amps won’t be In protect it will actually be fine again
👋🏻 hello buddy!! Do you still repair this amps? I have a 8k with the same problem (I guess)… if you do please let me know how I do the shipping and payment 🙏🙏🙏
I'm having an issue with an hd3000 2ohm going into protect over 500watts "after" runing a 45ish hz test tone and with music intermittently. Just seeing if anyone has run into this issue.
I can run the tone for 5minutes without issue, input power measuring over 14.5v and even dropped my rca voltage to about 2volts and the subs measure 2.5ohms. Currently only pushing about 1200watts. I thought it was the sub initially (as I found some coil rub after the tinsel lead broke and I disassembled it) but I recently upgraded a new set of subs and the issue continues intermittently
Excellent Sam, another quality video. Question though, is the solder blob in place of the tiny diods a standard practice? I've never noticed them on any of the amps I own
I don't show everything on camera for these videos, my friend. All components are tested before fitting, mosfets are matched for Vt and RDS, resistors for tolerance, caps for ESR, etc.
@@electronbox that is what I assume but it kinda took me a minute all I see is a z on a hat, but u can't disagree it is a bad time to wear a single z on any piece of clothing

Yep they need a good oil haha. Had similar experience with mosfets. Always wear glasses or at least cover eyes
Great guy here! Knows alot!
Flipn Great..I Need A Repair..how do I get intouch..I enjoyed..

@@Smurfyeah68 you need to check what kind of protection. The taramps tells you what it's not happy about
@@barevids how do you check? Does it flash a code on the little taramps light thing? I was assuming that’s what I was but I wasn’t sure
Yes they code flash Google it they will tell u why they are
Nice repair brief Sam, i like your crazy videos when you talikg about some crazy issues 5/5 Cheers :D :D
Dude you're brilliant!
Will u work on a cad 1600.1

Yep I do, you in the UK?
No im in USA
A bit of an unrelated question: How do you connect RCAs to the Taramps amps with single inputs? Seen so many varying answers to this!
Ehhh I just use one.
@@barevids Very good thank you. Would you still have both plugged in at the source (radio)?
@@whoopdeedo83 Nah haha
Have you ever caught one exploding on video?

having same issue with the same amp keeps running fine then going into prot. lmk if u have any ideas
You fix amps for people across the pond?
Excellent Sam, another quality video.
Question though, is the solder blob in place of the tiny diods a standard practice? I've never noticed them on any of the amps I own
How much power does this actually make? At 1 and 2 ohm
12800wrms 1ohm, about 8k 2ohm
Bro my bass 5k doesn't clip but the red protect comes on but no audible noise from the sub and the amp runs super cool. Don't get it
Great video👍🏻
Hi sir..
what igbt do you use? 🙏😀
I think it was 4063!
@@barevids thx u sir 😎
can you fix my bass 8k I touched the speakers wire to the remote while playing doa or help me please
If you're in the UK yes.
@@barevids hell naw got any idea's
most people would be happy just seeing videos of the repairs, when you have a big workload on then it can interfere with being a youtuber
I have a American bass. Excellence in sound sq945 1200wattsmaxs high performance series. Going in protection mode
What do you charge for a job like this?
Where did you learn everything you know
How can I send you some amps ?
If you're in the UK, message barevids facebook page
Can you give me a quote for a taramp smart 3k?
Only if you're in the UK
My car amp keeps flashing red light and green light on
I don't think I have ever seen you repairing PRV amps.
Hey how can I send you my amp
Are you in the UK
No I’m all the way in Columbus ms I’m in us
@@k9521 can't help you in afraid. There's plenty of good techs over in the states.
Can you refer me to one in the us
If you re-solder the resistors near by pins 11 and 20 you will be ok.
jesus... that fan man!!! lol
That motherboard was so disgusting inside lol I would have just bought a new one. Bound to break again
Interesting repair but, you need better camera so People can see the components .
I agree...
Only 4 FETs on one side of the fullbridge amp??? That's nothing!
Indeed, these IGBTs are beast though. Look up IRGP4063. 4 of them can definitely deal with 5000wrms in switchmode.
Maybe it is meaning the dd z but a bad time to be wearing a single z on a hat
you need to test components before you put new transistors i don't like how you work
I don't show everything on camera for these videos, my friend. All components are tested before fitting, mosfets are matched for Vt and RDS, resistors for tolerance, caps for ESR, etc.
Lol Stop watching then, genius.
I am rather sure your hat means dd z but it is a bad time to wear a z.
Literally no-one supports Russia.... especially the British. Z is just a letter on a hat, barevids is not political, just technical.
