    I really appreciate this! I've seen so many tutorials using Unito and other power-ups, which are crazy expensive. This is so much easier and free. I will have to be sure that everything is in the card before linking it but still that's an easy work-around. And if I ever do need to do a lot of editing to a card, I can always delet the attachment in my main board and then just add the trigger again so it copies over. I think this is the solution I've been looking for. The main thing that frustrated me with Trello is that I had to constantly switch to different bards to see all my active projects. Thanks for sharing!

      So crazy expensive aren’t they! It’s a great little workaround and hopefully one day we can find an even better workaround!

    This was really helpful the only issue I'm having is. Once I set up a card and link them. If I do future edits to the master card it doesn't then show the edits in the linked card

      Sadly that’s one of the limitations of it. You can get paid power ups that will fix this though.

      @@ITMoon Yeah. Everything is pointless if linked cards are not linked. What are the paid powerups for this?

    Thanks so much for this, I was banging my head against the wall trying to understand how I was supposed to navigate the UI to get the result that I want. Cheers!

    This is a great workaround - thank you. Just wondering if there is a way to prevent duplicates on the master to-do list board if you change (remove / add) a label on the original card?
    EXAMPLE: I have my labels set up based on priority (today, this week, next week, future). Currently, when I change a label on a card (e.g. removing "this week" and adding "today"), the rules mean a new "today" card is copied onto my master board with the original "this week" card duplicate still sitting there.
    Is it possible to set up a rule so the label on the "this week" linked card updates to "today" (and shifts to the "today" list in my masterboard) rather than creating another duplicate? Failing that, is it possible to automatically archive the linked "this week" card and replace it with the new linked "today" card?
    My two thoughts are
    1) create a new rule and set the trigger as "when the 'this week' label is removed from a card"
    2) adding a second action to the original rule that copies a card onto the masterboard when a label is added, where it archives the "this week" card.
    Problem is, in both cases, I don't know what the appropriate action would be with regards to exclusively archiving the card with the "this week" label (and not all linked cards)
    Is the above possible to automate or will I need to manually archive duplicate cards on my master board each time I remove / add a new label?

    Hi, just wondering how do you get the same labels on all your boards ? Thank you so much for this video, very helpful!

    • @ITMoon
      @ITMoon  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For this it's more of a best practice of just making sure we always use the same labels when setting up boards. We often duplicate a board to ensure the correct setup throughout it.

    I get that the trigger duplicates the card on another board due to the action to do that. But what does the action 'link cards together" achieve in addition to that if the copy doesn't mirror changes to the master?

    • @ITMoon
      @ITMoon  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The main thing is that it links them together in-regards to you can click through from one to the other easily.

    how about checklist? will it synchronize?

    • @ITMoon
      @ITMoon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly it won't. This is mainly to make a card that is linked that you can go back and forth with.

    Hello! When I create an Label to attach it to another Board, that little Trello Attachments thing does not appear. And similarly, when I set up the Completed button, the action doesnt link back to the original board, because I am assuming, it is not seeing any Trello attachments to link to. How do I make sure Trello Attachments are automated with this set up? Thank you!

    • @ITMoon
      @ITMoon  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Attachments that were attached BEFORE you linked the card are ones that carry through.

    It's not useful. The contents of the connected cards are not synchronized.

    • @ITMoon
      @ITMoon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I explain in the video that the cards won't be synchronized as sadly you need a pricey power up for that. But it does link them up.
