The original Kingdom Hearts now released over a decade ago, yet despite it serving as the entry-point for the franchise, some aspects of the original game haven't aged that well.
Given that Kingdom Hearts 3 sees the franchise at its best, going back to experience Kingom Hearts 1 gameplay and cutscenes may put some gamers off, even with Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX being a thing... so why not remake the original Kingdom Hearts and modernise it so new fans can enjoy the game with more ease? Who knows, we could then even see Kingdom Hearts appear on Switch.

If they were to remake KH1, I hope that they don't EVER change the feel I get from it; the feeling of adventure, exploring live Disney worlds.
Newer KH titles focuses on flying combat spectacles too much. But in KH1,
- you can sit at the tea party table,
- ring the hotel bell,
- give potions to flowers,
- freeze floating bubbles to create platforms
- walk on the ceiling
Conclusion: It's how players can interact with the world, using magic and logic. It's the sense of wonder.

tasoganedude these are such small details that I forgot I liked about KH1. I replayed it a few years back on PS3 and it was one of my favorites in the series, much less clunky then I remembered
so true I have the original ps2 version and I'm at Halloween town fighting oggy boogy and I think Monstro as well witch is a pain in the butt anyway the story is so good even if the graphics and camera are terrible i don't care

For sure. Ultimately KH1 is functions as the entry point into the series. It's the first game anyone can play. So I think the goal of any remake of KH1 should be to introduce more fans to the series. I think they story should stay as it is. At MOST, it could also add things to help better set up under-explained things that happen in KHCoM and II, but I don't think it even needs to do that. As long as it helps the series be more approachable, I think that's a successful remake.
I agree, to say it hasn't aged well is a lie. This game even on ps2 had better graphics than some Xbox 360 games.

I’m still happy with KH1 today for the most part, but I wouldn’t be opposed to for all the points you maid. I want a proper 358/2 Days remake for very similar reasons. So long as the game is reasonably improved, and more approachable that’s all well, and good as a fan.
My secret reason for the #4 point on the list was secretly about this lol.... 358/2 uses a lot of KH1/KH2 assets. And it has some of the newest/ highest quality animated cutscenes... it would look so good! Plus PLAYABLE DEEP DIVE.

358/2 days is such an underrated game. It's the first and only game in the franchise to have multiplayer mode, you can control ALL of the organization members even Donald and Goofy, the story is great , some scenes are the chefs kiss, it would be awesome to have all of that in a better graphic console.
KH1 doesn't need a Remake, i'd rather just get new KH games instead. But if they ever do decide to remake it, i hope they focus on the visuals while leaving the gameplay mostly untouched.
LuNicz honestly they could mostly offload and outsource the project onto another team, much like with how a whole different team made the original CoM on gameboy, a new side team could develop remakes while Osaka and whatever bits of Tokyo team are left working on the main games. It’s not like they don’t have source material to base all their efforts off of either and that no doubt is an easier task to recreate existing controls and to polish them than it is to create entirely new things with entirely new directions to take it in

One thing I think would be exciting about a remake is that, since Disney lost the rights to Tarzan quite a long time ago, we could finally get a Jungle Book world as a replacement! Also just expanding the scale of the KH1 worlds would be amazing - Wonderland would no longer be a series of boxy rooms!

I feel like full on replacing Deep Jungle would go too far and would edge on changing something fundamental about KH1--but I hope to see a Jungle Book world in a future game, for sure

@@DavidRussell323 I mean, it's what would have to happen legally since Disney can't use Tarzan for anything anymore. In a perfect world they'd get the rights to include it in a remake, but that'd probably be seen as not worth it to them.
can't really replace Deep Jungle whilst keeping things the same, though, as Maleficent and her lot consider recruiting Clayton and even observe his death at the hands of the heartless he failed to control. Can't do that with a Jungle Book world.
I feel like if 1 played like 3 it would ruin the combat and scale of the first game. I love how big and detailed the worlds are and how long it takes Sora to explore them. Sora couldn't just jump and soar over any building. He has to explore them as if they were real places. And the combat felt heavy and less hectic than 2 and 3. While I dont want KH to go back to that slower combat, I think it's perfect for Kingdom Hearts 1.
I agree on the combat. If a remake is made, I'd like it to be similar to the original's gameplay.
+1 on the exploration. The KH3 worlds somehow seem smaller despite their scale, because you don't have to take the time and explore. You just run up a wall, go along the predetermined path, and then fight the boss. Then you go to the next world and do the same. Wandering around and platforming in KH1 (and, yes, getting lost) was a lot of fun, back in the day.
I think that part of what made kh1 great is the clunky gameplay. Sometimes less is "more" .While I personally love the mobility and combat of kh2 and kh3 , the absence of it in kh1 makes you pay more attention to the surroundings. Since some worlds in kh1 are literally boxed rooms the camera helps to make them feel a bit bigger. So if they wanted to change the control system they would need to change the worlds as well. But I have to agree that the exploration factor in kh1 and the tricky puzzles is something thats missing especially from kh2.
You lost me at auto parkour. I think the platforming can stay how it is, but improved to the quality of later games. not make it easier with auto parkour. Kingdom hearts 1 had way more natural platforming than the other games. It would suck to destroy that
Arttriger I don’t think he meant to be able to use it anytime you need to jump but rather they could create certain spots that utilize the auto jumping that were different before
Superslash i see what you mean but personally, i dont think it would add to the game. Sora im kh1 was so slow in comp to kh2 sora and it fit with how meticulous the combat was. Id rather a inexperienced sora in kh1, a stylin guy in kh2 and a flying god in kh3
Arttriger I personally wouldn’t add it in I’m just saying what I think he meant, personally I’d like to see the jumping be updated to reflect that of kh2’s feel if anything since it is a little clunky at times

If it was remade, Sora would still have to feel powerless for a lot of it IMO, like I wouldn’t want us to have the Firaza command in Monstro. Strong magic commands should be unlocked by Merlin or something
The gummi ship is something I don’t hate, but it can be way too tedious at the start. The best solution for me is to give you the option to teleport between worlds at the start so you don’t have to manually fly to each world each time
The auto parkour thing, I dunno, I feel like it wouldn’t be a good fit yet? It’s his first journey after all, he was much less acrobatic back then. I guess small auto parkour sections would work well, just not him running up walls

If square ever consider to do the KH1 remake with the new engine....they must NOT use the floaty physics used in BBS and KH3. The KH1 and 2 Combat is outstanding comparing with the floaty boring ones.

I personally want a Kingdom Hearts retcon. Remake KH1 and keep its general story as a base to go off of. I personally liked the setup of KH1’s story the most. It was truly simple and clean. Afterwards, it just got more and more convoluted.
But that’s just me. I think they should do something similar like what they’re doing with FF7R; not replacing the beloved original, but remaking and reimagining everything to the point it’s within its own canon and separate from the original compilation of FF7. They’re still keeping all the pivotal, memorable, and iconic moments that made the story so enticing and loved while tweaking where it’s needed to be its own separate entity.
Kingdom hearts remake is what I always wanted but they could make some worlds larger or at least have no loading time in traverse town
I know I've always wanted a kh game for Riku going through his story in kh 1 and kh 358/2 and kh 2 so they could show us all the off screen. stuff like riku first getting soul eater and when he got his keyblade.

Syphn they would no doubt do their best to keep it the same tho, Osaka worked on bringing the remixes to PS4, and sure they had their issues but they were fixed not too long later after outcry that the game had more issues than the originals, and hopefully they would add QoL improvements more so than tweaking the combat in a negative way

Kingdom Hearts 1 is still very playable as the gameplay, while unrefined compared to later entries, still feels recognisable and the graphics haven’t aged at all badly. It’s also readily available on current gen systems, and if you have the disc version of the PS5 it is backwards compatible with the version on the 1.5+2.5 and subsequent compilations (Story So Far and All In One). The other remakes you cite are not available on current gen systems or have gameplay that’s aged enough to deter new gamers from taking a look, like Final Fantasy VII’s turn based combat. Minor gameplay niggles aside (the vine swinging in Deep Jungle for example), Kingdom Hearts 1 is a fun game to play even in 2021.
One significant obstacle to a full remake would be Deep Jungle. A world based on a property Disney haven’t had the rights to do new stories with since before Chain of Memories on the GBA, it probably only got cleared for the 1.5 Final Mix because it was just remastered and nothing added to what was there in the original. What this means for a remake I don’t know, but most likely the world would have to be removed or substituted with another jungle based world and that would be very confusing for the continuity of a series that’s had more than its fair share of continuity and character backstory headaches.
I'd love to see a Kingdom Hearts Super Mega Ultimate Collection, with every KH game, fully remastered, and even the mobile games!
I believe that if Square ever does go through with a remake/remaster, it would be smart to get capable people that made the original worlds in unreal. I mean, take a look at Traverse town in unreal engine. It's beautiful. Basically Sonic Mania team but with Kingdom Hearts.
I wouldnt want a ff7 level of remake for KH1 but i would like a graphical remaster of it instead of just a rez boost. It would be cool tho to have a KH game where you travel thru parts of Soras journey, similar to how the Lich worked but with more too it. Having to replay the exact same area or segment as the original version of that certain part, like the second visit to traverse town or the beginning of Hollow Bastion in KH2 with KH4 (just an example since 1/2/3 all have differences and 4 isnt out yet or even announced) fighting mechanics. so it feels authentic but also nostalgic without ruining the feel. This all would have to be properly built into the story but i think you guys know what I'm getting it.
I really liked the point about how with KH3's conclusion being the end of the Xehanort saga, there is no greater interim point for the series to take a minute to collect itself and strengthen its core (heck, especially considering all the SQEX projects Nomura's been put on lately...including FF7R). I went into the video thinking that 2017 had done a fine job of remaking the older games with 1.5/2.5/2.8, but all the points you made gradually changed my mind. If I were given a choice, a remake of KH1--along with all the assets in that game--would be lovely and ultimately very useful for the developers for future titles, but more than anything, I really would like a proper remake for the mobile movie-only games in The Story So Far collection: Days, Coded, and KHUX all as full console entries
Thanks! I really appreciated the HD Re:Mixes as well. They helped me a lot with refreshing my memory, but in the lead up to KH3 I noticed a lot of complaints about KH1 not really holding up anymore from people picking up the collection. A lot of people were really impressed by the trailers for KH3, but we’re let down by KH1’s current state.(in terms of gameplay/controls/ event design) I’m totally with you there about the movie titles. Those especially reuse a lot of assets from KH1 and KH2. At the end of the day the KH team has always relied on asset reuse, so one way or another they have to rebuild their old assets at some point. I think a remake could be a great way to do that and get paid for it too.
if any Kingdom Hearts game gets a remake they need to address a few details and here are some I'd like to see in all future Kingdom Hearts games
1. when Emblem Heartless are slain by non-keyblade users the hearts appear silver like they do in 358/2 days
2. don't mess with the combat too much, if KH1 was given KH2's combat it just wouldn't work for what KH1 was going for
3. If KH1 is remade keep Jungle, it's canon and the only reason for it not returning was just not bothering to get the rights to use Tarzan, and has important foreshadowing for KH1's story
4. Remake the DS games in PS2 KH graphics, it's not that hard square enix, you've got everything else remade for the DS games, Maps? you already made most of them for 358/2 days in PS2 graphics, and you have every map from Re:Coded in PS2 graphics, cutscenes have already been animated too, so you just gotta program gameplay and add more to the collisions.
5. If they remake days and remove the Panel system I'm just gonna be wondering wtf, that was a perfectly fine system
6. Remake Re:Coded, it is a game that exists to be played, and not as a cutscene movie.
I feel like a remake of Kingdom Hearts could be used as a reboot of the story, make it less confusing or improving a lot of story elements.
Old video by now but I feel like all you'd really need to seriously do to improve KH1 as a whole in a remake is to:
give it a KH2 style camera (farther out with higher FOV by default, raises up and zooms out when moving it upward, able to move it around when locked onto a target)
polish up some bad boss fights (Cerberus, Genie Jafar, etc)
improve jump physics to be more in line with 2 or 3 (slightly more control, seemingly lower gravity)
improve navigation by adding a minimap, and create more rooms or merge some together - hopefully reducing the amount of unnecessary backtracking and figuring out at what point you are in the story of a world to go to where it wants you to
Besides from some extra polish, most of the game's other systems are fine and you wouldn't really need to mess with them too much.
There's a lot of potential in remaking KH1
The combat system could be made a lot more dynamic and feature-dense (and skippable summon scenes!)
The Gummi Ship might actually be good
KH1 has a bevy of annoying and tedious boss fights, which could be redesigned
Along with all that, the appeal to new players would absolutely skyrocket. I can't count the number of people I saw in the lead-up to KHIII asking "when does KH1 get good?" or talking about how they quit the game at Wonderland or Deep Jungle (frontloading the game with those obtuse/tedious worlds was *not* a good move)
But if we're talking remakes, Days' gameplay was so bad it almost demands being reworked from the ground up, and Re:coded's was too good to stay locked up on the DS forever.
Since the three could share a number of assets, maybe they could do a ReMIX-style combo pack of remakes.
I noticed the same sentiment around the game too! Everyone was so hyped off of seeing what KH3 had become, but when they eventually picked up KH1.5+2.5 they got put off by all the stuff that hadn't aged well.
358/2 also has so much potential given how popular it's story was. It's a real shame how boring it is to watch just the cutscenes of it. That's also a game that is basically all reused areas.
KH1 could use rebalancing & some improved boss fights, but its battle system is plenty dynamic. In fact, I’m convinced it has the best physics in the series.
KotR9001 I personally think the boss fights overall are fine. Only one I really think needs to be improved is Giant Ursula, and that’s more the Mermaid Kick than Giant Ursula herself. Though I could do without the “This won’t be pretty!” spam.
I'd be down for a Kingdom Hearts 1 remake though I do think 358/2 Days deserves a remake. But if there one thing that annoys me about remakes is that they take time to make, time that could be used to make KH4.
I would love a remake and do agree with your points. I still like Kingdom Hearts as a game and still has a great story, but every time I think of playing this game my mind goes to one point: platforming. The platforming has made me lose battles so many times and feels clunky and slow. If Kingdom Hearts ever got a chance at a remake I would like to see: 1) platforming like KH3 2) Remade Gummi ship 3) More vibrant worlds.
If they ever make KH1 remake, what I fear the most is if they mess with the story or make Sora overpowered like in the later games
This is why if I ever have children, Lord forbid, I'll raise em with tech the way I had it.
Give them an appreciation for the advancements in tech.
My first video games were the og Legend of Zelda and Mario.
Then I got to play Link to the Past and Super Mario World and Donkey Kong and etc on SNES.
Then I got Ps1, Ps2, and saw the N64 and Gamecube at friends.
Then finally got a 360.
And now as an adult I got ps4.
But like, point is, I want my kids to grow up like that.
Iunno how I'd do it, considering I too would still have the modern tech in the house somewhere, and wouldn't want to lie to these hypothetically kids.
If Kingdom Hearts gets a remake I hope they go all out without the limitations they had at the time.

I would love for them to remake KH1, but it would be quite a balancing act to get it right. The gameplay is dated, but that's part of its charm. KH1 is much more of an RPG than an action game, but I don't think that was necessarily their intention. It's more a product of Sora feeling slow and clunky, and the abilities/spells requiring more focus on positioning. I thoroughly enjoyed it when it came out, but I find it hard to enjoy now when I can compare it to the stellar gameplay of KH2 and KH3.

Thanks for commenting anyway! I agree that for us in the fan community, we definitely want the series to progress. My argument in the video isn't for US though. It's for people that don't already like KH. For the continued growth of the brand, KH needs to reach new people. And right now KH1 is THE best entry point, but at the same time, it's the oldest game and it shows. If you want to hear more feel free to watch the video. I addressed your concern about the future of the series in my 4th point in the video.(tldw; a remake actually would be a big benefit for making new games faster due to recreating a lot of older assets that can be used in future titles as well)

Honestly the main reason why they should remake KH1 is because working on KH1 will remind the team of the magic that made KH so amazing and hopefully we get a much better game than the disappointment of KH3.

I think it would be amazing if they somehow re-animated all of the cutscenes and visual of the first KH game to match the clear and detailed version of KH3 (without changing the recorded audio.)
KH1 actually has some pretty good core mechanics, but I would support this if they focused on the right stuff.
Basically, they need to focus on greatly improving the balance. To this end, they should adjust MP costs, Sora’s Max MP count, damage formulas, & abilities among other things. One of the most important things is fixing healing by making Cure magic take all remaining MP (with HP restoration proportional to MP spent), limiting characters to 1 item a piece, and getting rid of MP Rage (since it rewards players for getting hit, and thus, creates a perverse incentive as well as makes healing broken).
However, I am of the controversial opinion that KH2 badly needs such rebalancing as well.
I agree because I love the franchise but all the games have been rerelaesed but we modern remakes of all the games for the consoles especially 358/2 and Re Coded. That way they can add all the asset they wanted when Kingdom Hearts was in development that was cut and then they can do better with certain world's and because those world's were remade in the first game it'll make it easy for the sequels and future games. I think all the Kingdom Hearts games need remake to match Kingdom Hearts 3

Technically it did get one. The 1.5 FM version was built from the ground up as all the original data for the PS2 version was lost.
I find it interesting that I mostly hear people talking about how bad KH3 is, while half of the points in this video are "It should be more like KH3." I haven't played 3 yet because I don't have any newer consoles, but it's interesting to hear.
I still feel that KH1 has aged a lot more gracefully than other titles from the same era

i would be 100% down for that, i put in hundreds of hours into the first game but refuse to put in anymore for final mix as i dont like wasting more time into repetition haha, but a remake is something id defo be up for
To me Kingdom Hearts 1 or any of the titles will always mean a lot even if older and not as fancily made, personally I find them amazingly beautiful. It's just that nostalgia thing, but a remake is also welcome in my book, however I don't really see why new prospective fans wouldn't like KH1 original, just because it doesn't look like KH3 does. Both look amazing.
I played the yakuza series recently and can def see the comparison and how that would work for kingdom hearts games sure there’s problems with licensing or missing original files but could see how it helps newer players and would prob be lovely for a old player to get a refreshing new start to the journey
As much as I would love a remake to KH1 there are a couple of problems with it 1. The Tarzan world would have to be cut since Disney lost the rights to that property and 2. Some of the voice actors would to be replaced due to either getting too old like Haley Joel Osment or passing away like Russi Taylor
I propose a better idea: redesign worlds to encompass more area in each "room". Let's also focus on having movement akin to KH2's movement set since kh3s movement would be too much...

I want this video to blow up so bad. Kingdom Hearts 1 and what it did for video games and the series will always be held dear to my heart. the nostalgia will always be there. and i’ve wanted this game to be remade upscaled to kh3’s style. just imagine how beautiful and amazing that game would be. it deserves to be remade so bad, the second i saw kh1 sora in the start of kh3, i became in love with the idea of what it looked like
I think KH1 NEEDS a remake. I have friends who I’d love to get into the series and some are open to the idea, but I worry about the 1st game turning them off with the clunky gameplay and outdated game design. It also doesn’t help that theres a bit of an accessibility problem, with almost all of them having exclusively Nintendo consoles, meaning no way to play the KH series (most of these friends in question don’t even have PCs capable of running the games - those computers of theirs were NOT made for running games. Period.)
I thought the switch was getting a port. Also, as someone that played I.5 two years ago, I think it's just a people thing. You just got to let them bite the bullet and see if they like it. If they don't, they don't.
And if they still like it but can't gel with the gameplay, just have them watch a playthrough, read the comic, or read one of the multiple novelizations people have made for KH1 (you might be better off looking into some fan version of it though, as I hear the novels aren't fully translated).

The moment younger Sora showed up in the intro to KHIII, I went ballistic. I was hoping for it being remade, but I wouldn't be screaming Kingdom Hearts being remade. I love it for how it is still.
I wonder if Nomura-san and Disney has considered it. If so, I hope he helps with the production, but focuses on the next on as his main project.
KH1's strange gameplay compared to the others haven't aged well considering the basic hud and level up system were never used again
I don't believe that is a good metric to determine if something has aged well.
considering that they're actually a good and well balanced system that rewards players for understanding blocking and using attacks to deflect enemy attacks.
But in KH 1 it has a world called Deep Jungle and they lost the rights to use anything that involved in Tarzan so idk if they are gonna do it if they are they cannot put Tarzan in it unless they get back the rights.
While I would like to see it, I would much rather see them put their efforts toward new games or more Kh3 updates.
If i'm subbed to FFU why do I see this under subs? Also, KH is still fine and the series has plenty of modern releases to keep interested parties occupied--

Disney no longer holds the rights to Tarzan, that alone might kill the ability to do a remake.
probably explains why KH CoM and Re:Coded weren't fully remakes of KH1.
The Remake should have all the lines from the original game but tarzan will be troublesome to get
Fix the clunky gameplay and I’m in I hate trying to go back to this one just because of how it plays plus adding new cutscenes to tie it into the overall story would be awesome (like behind the scenes stuff like how Xeanort planed everything and what the organization was doing at this point and maybe even some story about Diz (ansem the wise)
9:54 oh dear god NOOO!!! I mean you make a good point but godamn do I hate that new art style in comparison to the older one. Granted the new art style works better for entering CG worlds, but I don't see why you couldn't just stick to the old art style for most of the game and go to the new one only for the cg worlds.
Kingdom Hearts 1 wasn’t just Sora’s first journey, it was ours too. Creating a remake allows us to relive our first journey again, with modern graphics, so we can create a new first journey. But do we really want that? To overwrite our first experience of kingdom hearts? Everything about the original makes it the game we love, & I wouldn’t change that one bit - memories & nostalgia are precious to me.

while yeah, I do want a KH1 remake but to be honest... while some would disagree, its too early guys. it hasn't been a year yet since KH3 came out. maybe sometime in the future sure, but as of now, no I don't think its necessary. let Square finish other projects first before rushing to another.
And also finally use the kh1 model and animations

I know this is what fanboys always say, but I honestly think Kingdom Hearts 1 is more or less perfect just as it is. Sure, the gummi ship stuff is bad (supposedly, I personally loved it as a kid). And yeah, they could always add more Final Fantasy characters. I always thought it was idiotic how Nomoura never took advantage of Final Fantasy 9 characters, just cause he was petty about them not being his designs.
One BIG missed opportunity is to not include either Zidane, Kuja or Garland as allies or part of Organization 13 in KH2. Zidane and Kuja are more or less Nobodies in FF9, except they've been given hearts/souls retroactively. Also, Vivi is literally a Heartless, Black Mages are created using dead souls, so you could easily translate that to Vivi or Black Mages being Heartless. If Sora was able to somewhat keep his self intact when he became a Heartless, you could easily make a story about Vivi being something similar.
Plus FF9 character design was WAY more fitting to the Disney asthetic than Nomoura's anime edge-boys. Characters like Steiner or even freaking Quina would not look out of place at all next to any Disney characters.
I've been playing FFIX lately and I completely agree; it feels closer in spirit to KH than most of the other FF games yet it's been utilized the least.
This is an hard topic, because yes they could do a "remake" where they upgrade a ton of stuff and have this assest to re-use at hand. But, you have to have in mind who is Nomura, and i don't think he would feel like that should be done, unless he can add something to the overall story to make the experience new, and not something just for newer audiences, to make the experience unique for both old and newer fans. This would mean, add new elements to the story like they are doing for FF7Re(Those ghost make me uneasy about then messing up the story, not because i don't trust Nomura, but i don't trust SE with FF), adding new combat mechanics, etc.
And that could have a big backlash from the older fans that love just the original version for how simple it was.
Don't get me wrong, a remaster that it's more on the edge of remake(That's what i call what you describe), it's something that the original KH1 needs, but not something i think Nomura would coinsider necessary if he doesn't have anything to add to it.
Yeah the terminology has gotten really muddy these days. There are so many remasters that tread the line of what a remaster is and what a remake is. Like Shadow of the Colossus for example. Gameplay-wise it's slightly tweaked, and has a couple of additions, but visuals wise, it's completely from the ground up remade. Yakuza takes that a bit further because it totally threw out the old combat system and used Yakuza 5 as a base. (Resident Evil 2 also did this by using RE7 as a base). I kind of want something between what SOTC and Yakuza did. Both maintain their stories exactly as they were, but go way farther than the typical HD remaster in terms of updates. FF7R is way too far for what I'd want for KH. I'd honestly say FF7R isn't even a remake at this point, it's more of a reboot.
We could just make this remake in a universe separate to the main timeline so we could do something different.
Tarzan might be a problem?
I hope Square-Enix makes a KH1 remake one day. I think the future of the series depends on it. Even though KH fans still love KH1 as it is, new people to the series find it hard to stomach. It's the most important game for bringing new fans to the franchise so I say go all out to make sure it's the best it can be.
I don’t feel like KH 1 should get a remake. 358/2 Days on the other hand, definitely deserves one.
Wait a second there’s something I have to tell you about Sora characters, I got a little problem with his character on kh2 to kh3 he’s childish, gullible and never taking serious to see the enemy that’s seem out of his character but expect for kh1 Sora to rcom like he more responsibilities, mature, fun not too fun, serious, charm but not childish charm and related.

Honestly, I think doing the Gummi Ship sections in KH1 like in KH3 would be a great way to improve it. Large scale 3D areas that improve on the little exploration the KH1 Gummi Ships had, And exciting ship combat.
I think it would also be cool if Sora had more movement options in KH1 as well, just as long as they don’t completely abandon the platforming and make some interesting challenges with the movement options like KH2’s Cavern of Remembrance. Though, this is more of a personal thing since I’m a huge platformer guy and appreciate it in any respect, especially if there is a way to improve it like with KH.
I'd also love to see gummi ship bosses too like i KH2/3! It's kinda funny looking back now at the KH1 gummi ship. The actual ship building side of it is surprisingly in-depth, but then you go to space to take your creation for a spin and... Oh... there's basically nothing out here... Why did I spend all that time building this???
