Ever since his appearance in the first Kingdom Hearts, Sora has been a huge hit. With each new Kingdom Hearts game, the love for Sora has only grown and that was pretty clear with Kingdom Hearts 3.
But because Sora has featured in so many different games, there's a lot about the character that is perhaps unknown, from behind the scenes content relating to his creation, though to some in-game facts that are obscured.

What is there to even identify with tho. Kh is easier to understand than people give it credit, however the villains are always spouting word salads as motivations. They have the least characteristics to latch onto
Sora is a great choice as a main character for one thing that many don’t talk about.
As kids, we usually imagine ourselves in adventures with the characters we grew up with. Sora is the template for our inner kid going on incredible stories and being with our friends.

@@Mnemoniforma9.00 they are anthro they just prefer not to walk upright on their hind legs just to stay in their reality and they have some human movements mostly on Rafiki and Timon but they're still considered anthro since they talk 😊
That last fact with Nomura was quite surprising for me. Starting out not wanting Sora to exist, then being his favorite, and ending on him being Sora's enemy.
I don't know where people are getting that he doesn't like him anymore, he only said that he doesn't relate to him and antagonize him to create situations for him to go through, something very normal for writers.

Kh3 suffered from Disney veto on certain things like the world of Frozen. A lot of content were removed.

Definitely glad they didn’t make a Disney character a protagonist. I love Disney. I grew up with it and still love watching the old and new movies. But I completely understand that Disney is the part of Kingdom Hearts that fans just bear with most of the time.
I'm more just glad that they didn't make it Donald. I would've hated that so much.
I've enjoyed the Disney parts of Kingdom Hearts, but I'm much more interested in the actual Kingdom Hearts lore. The Disney parts of KH3 were not the best though, especially Frozen's level. I did not like that world. I loved the last section of KH3 though. I wish there was a Kingdom Hearts game that had less Disney stuff (not completely removing it) and more KH story. For most of KH3 I was just wanting more KH story and they kept giving me vague tidbits and a ton of Disney stuff. Then, at the end it was just all KH story and it was amazing!
Honestly I’d love if kingdom hearts went to final fantasy worlds instead of Disney worlds. I think it could be a great way to bring old beloved characters to the limelight again.
Technically Sora IS a Disney character
Tbh i love going to all the Disney worlds , and I would never love kh as much as I do without it. I mean, I would still love it bc of the history and characters, but there is something about also having Disney characters and parts of the story and going to Disney worlds to live all that and meet them that is just MAGIC, is like living a dream that I had as a kid , that I still have tbh lol is just make this amazing game even better

Of course, if they went all in with Donald as the protagonist and not as a support to a different player character's story, they would have Donald be strong, tough and adventurous like in the classic cartoons and the comics.

I get the feeling that Nomura began to resent Sora and Kingdom Hearts some, since he was partly kicked off of Final Fantasy XV (his dream project) to go make KHIII. I think that's why he said what he did. But I wonder if his feelings have changed now that he's been given the go-ahead to put his Versus XIII ideas into KH. KHIII Sora was the best written Sora has been in a long time, and Nomura majorly wrote the script for it, and it seems that KHIII is when SE told him he could use his Versus XIII ideas in KH. So that might mean something.

from what I heard it's a little bit different. It's that Disney only allowed Square to use Mickey mouse one time in the the first game because they didn't want them to heavily rely on him for the story.
I've also heard that they either didn't want too much competition with Epic Mickey or that they thought Epic Mickey was going to be more successful, so they kept Mickey on the down low in KH.

So, Sora was a lion and therefore he was the KING of the KINGDOM! I think that concept still lives on in the series :)
The keyblades in Valor, Master, and Final Form probably comes from Ventus', Xion's, and Roxas' Heart.
If we were to draw any connections, the only semi-solid connection is that the keyblade you use in Final form is Roxas' due to the fact that you get two become one, a keyblade that helps you unlock final form, from defeating Roxas.
The only fact you need to know is: Sora missed dinner.
The reason why Sora could dual wield keyblade is the same reason why Roxas could use one as well. Though as Xemnas explain, even nobodies develop a sort of replacement for a heart and when Roxas did, he started dual wielding too. In fact, I think Roxas' experience Dual wielding might have had something to do with Sora doing it as well.
How, if roxas is soras nobody and that is the only reason roxas could use the key blade when none of the others could

Sora has the power to connect the hearts of people from different worlds, Xehanort puts a plan in motion that involves shattering Sora's heart in to fragments scattered throughout different worlds, this forces Kairi and a few other chosen heroes to go on a journey across worlds to piece Sora's heart back together, they later find out that the reason Xehanort planned this is because he needed Sora to travel to different worlds and connect with the hearts of people so that he can later use Sora's "connector" powers to gain access to Kingdom Hearts

Well I like to think it's all connected. As CONVOLUTED as KH is, Nomura has shown that he does have a plan for it. Like BBS really connected a lot of things that it couldn't have if there wasn't some forethought about the story. I just think the overall execution is the biggest problem. Multiple platforms, years between projects, etc. Not to mention, Disney is lock and key about their cash-cows so using their stuff is a headache in and of itself (did we really need the whole Let It Go scene? I think not). So, I still think we still don't know a lot about Sora. Especially since the Master Antagonist (MoM) basically instigated this war. Even Sora doesn't know everything about himself, lol.
These are all pretty amazing facts. It's like the more I know about Sora the more I want to learn about him.

It would be nice if we could see the original version of sora in the ending of the KH series to go up against the Master of Masters.
Edit: basically the designs that we see at 7:00 and 7:30 to help the Sora that we have now fight against the Master of Masters. Hopefully that makes sense
I can even see a way for it to work: The master of masters is so strong that Sora needs help from all his friends across all the Disney worlds he visited. That causes him to be affected by the spell that disguises him (as well as Donald and Goofy) whenever they are in certain worlds.
So his appearance changes. He gains fins on his arm (from the little mermaid world), takes on an appearance similar to 7:30 (Lion King), just in a greenish color (monster inc.) and so on

It was then when I met Young Xehanort and learned about hearts and light and darkness. After learning about Kingdom Hearts, I separated my Body from my Soul and sent it further back in time, where I became amnesiac and was raised as a keyblade wielder, so that I would eventually become MoM, the Master of Masters! That's why the keyblade chose you over Riku, as you're the son of the Master.
Everything from your birth to you leaving the islands has been carefully planned so that we would reach this moment.

He went back to his own world after KH2, and KH3D takes place a couple of days, if not weeks after 2, so yeah, he had his dinner

The DOB thing makes no real sense as their BIRTH would have been when the final iteration of art for them was made because if we're to go by the date of the game that makes Sora, Riku and Kairi all other OC's in each game have the same bday lol
it's ironic how Nomura changed his mind about Sora in KH3, and yet Sora is easily at his best in this game
It makes sense why we didn't get our perfect happy ending there too though, cause he also still wants to continue the franchise

Well you made the right just imagine it tearing through your enemies with a mother fucken chainsaw sword. I think that's the biggest reason they didn't do it because of how Warhammer kind of has a monopoly on chainsaw swords.

The reason why Sora can dual wielder, is because Roxas can, he developer the ability after he merged with Sion’s heart, so when he got back with Sora, Sora gain this ability.

I just kinda wish they aged sora up a little bit. Hearing Haley Joel Osment strain his voice to play sora is... kinda hard to listen to sometimes. He was perfect for vanitas, so if they let soras voice be a bit deeper, it would have sounded fine.

they're both Nobodies that used to work for the Organization, but they eventually chose to turn against it after realizing Xemnas was just using them and never planned on letting them have their hearts back

I never knew the reason sora could dual wield was because ventus' heart was in him. Makes sense now why he can no longer dual wield.
He can still dual wield in kh3. At least in the dlc you can obtain the keyblades oathkeeper and oblivion wich both let you change to dual form where he wields both swords
