Obviously… the early commenters to this video, have the attention span of a gnat! Take a moment to review the title,.. and it is dead accurate with respect to the video content. Fortunately, the videographer was able to use BMW source for the content. BMW does know how to build cars. (I will comment here, that their choice to use plastic components in their ICE engine systems, starting about 10 years ago, has destroyed their solid reputation for mechanical reliability.) With respect to “sourcing” lithium… the vast majority of the raw materials are the “brine” deposits and hard-rock mined “spodumene”. The brine deposits will totally own the industry in 3 years. The cost of mining the hardrock spodumene, grinding/kilning and acid treatment to get to the lithium hydroxide, is not competitive on a cost basis! The description of fabricating the lithium battery packs is very comprehensive, and accurate. With proper control of “impurities” in the chemical gels, and quality control of the manufacturing of the cells, will give batteries that will easily give 10 years of workable battery life. Continuous “tweaks” to the battery chemistry, is extending that lifetime every day.
Went from an informative tutorial to a BMW promo
Nice video... please keep it up
That’s a Lot of infrastructure, jobs, and processes.
Makes you wonder how come recycling doesn’t get this treatment
This went from a mining video to a bmw assembly process
wait, I forgot what I started watching
1:15
How does beryllium has highier energy density then lithium
11:30 OK this is not bmw x1 okay ....
Don't waste your time watching this long elaborate BMW ad 😂😂😂
this went from mining lithium to "how bmw is struggling with job security because of robots"
Contingency and precedence NTC/Californi...
7:15 the CCP don't think so.

Most of this video isn’t about lithium mining
Who the F came up with this idea 😅
I can barely make a pizza
