Something tells me you're not watching the current season. I definitely agree with these, especially Quasimodo, but the characters I most want to see from Disney are actually Jack Skellington and Sally. I wrote all those characters into fanfaction because I don't think it'll ever happen. From general literature, I still wonder why they haven't gone after characters from Shakespeare. Romeo, Juliet, Hamlet, perhaps even Falstaff would make interesting regulars.

Their not disney characters but jack frost and pitch black from rise of the guardians would be interesting additions to the show. Pitch black especially would a interesting rival to rumplestiltskin. His backstory is very similar to rumplestiltskin but his daughter is mother nature.
Pitch black would be interesting as there are three possibilities for his character. He could be a rival for rumplestiltskin, rumplestiltskin's teacher in magic or a previous dark one. Jack frost would be interesting as a protector of children.
I know their not from Disney but I've wanted Pitch, Jack and the guardians to be in there too. Mother Nature would be awesome to see! I think it would only work if the main characters get introduced to the "unseen" spirit world. Then they can meet Pitch and the guardians and learn that magic is everywhere and not just in storybrooke.
Bridget Dockstader it could work if jack was a childhood friend of charming because of his past. He was a farmer before rumple used him as a stand in for his twin brother. Jacks staff is a shepard's crook and he was carrying it in his memories which is rather indicative that he was a sheep herder. Also pitch would be a interesting past dark one. His back story is rather tragic and in some ways similar to rumples.
Bridget Dockstader or another interesting approach for pitch would be to have him be a prisoner of the dark ones dagger. There was in one of the books a storyline in which he was trapped in a enchanted dagger for some time. I think that he was released when jack frost was revived by manny.
Tarzan and Jane are unlikely since Disney doesn't really own them. They could do Christopher Robin, but they will have to keep his appearance a distance away from the reslease of the live action Christopher Robin film. Disney doesn't like to overflow the market with too many versions of the same character at once. I think that is why Maleficent and Cinderella weren't used that much in the earlier seasons, so that there wouldn't be multiple versions in the show and in their live action films. The same will probably apply to Mary Poppins.
I wish they went back to Storybook. I accepted that Emma and the gang won’t be in the show anymore, but this new season feels like a different show. If they went back to storybook with some character we know (except the new Cinderella and other characters that are replaced) I would watch it again.
I agree with the Pirates of the Caribbean thing because Hook can have like a history with them and may be the ones who attacked his ship when he was sailing with his older brother Liam
Alison Carboni My favorite Disney classics are The Sword & the Stone and The Black Cauldron so I'd love to see The Black Cauldron included into the show. They've done well portraying Arthur as someone with a hidden agenda. It'd be interesting to see what they could come up with for Taran.
Mary Poppins would be great because of her lowkey sass. She'd burn so many characters in a way they didn't know she was being insulted. Yzma is just amazing.
I really want to see Maui meet Rumplestiltskin. More importantly, I want to just see the main cast see a non-fairy, incredible powerful magical figure who is not a villain. A character with magic that actually believes that his talents make him a hero. I am finishing the second season and it seems that so far the message is that humans using too much magic corrupts them. He could possibly give Reginia hope that she can be a sorceress and a good person too.
In the real book. Quasimodo sacrificed Esmeralda to Frodo after the rejection. Later on he felt it was a mistake because he was addicted in Temptation for her, completely infatuated by her. Pocahontas was actually 13 years old could not from her from home by a white man who she falls in love with, but later on he saled her and she actually played the role sort of like a prostitute. I agree with Milana, Maui, the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, yzma, Mary Poppins, I feel James from James in the Giant Peach should have made a list along with Thumbelina, Simba, scar, Rafiki, (look, how cool would it be if Rafiki was out to your wizard kind of similar to Merlin? And has been trapped in an animal state for a while.) Morgana, Basile The Great Mouse Detective, gurgi from Black Cauldron, and if possible Judge Doom from Who Framed Rodger Rabbit.

With a more realistic series like OUaT, you'd either have to go all the way with the real story and risk triggering the more sensitive, or stick to the movie world and have those historical purists upset all over again. All in all, seems too risky. 3) My only complaint is that this isn't number one 2) This might actually work, there's plenty of possibilities here. Honorable Mentions - Radcliffes would be great, Wonka might get something for an episode or two, Tom/Thumbelina wouldn't work, no matter how you slice it. 1) This would be interesting, but it doesn't deserve #1. Also, I kind of wish they would add more animal characters to the series. I know it might put a strain on the CG budget, but imagine Scar and Shere Khan working together and watching the main heroes work with Baloo and Timon/Puumba, or even a run in with Rattigan. Heck, you could have a story where they go to find Sherlock Holmes, then discover that Basil is actually far smarter and more clever.
It'd be a bit hard for them to get the live action movie characters in the show, since they are, ya know played by actors who I'm sure will cost a lot more then the show could afford.
To be honest I don't like season 7 that much. The reason is the actress they picked for Cinderella doesn't know how to act that well just my opinion and also I didn't like when Belle died. And I hope we get to see some of the main characters from season 1 to 6. Again just my opinion. But at least I get to see Regina, Hook and Rumple.

I haven't seen descendents so couldn't tell you but jack and his sister would be an interesting addition because we really don't know much about charming's childhood or teenage years except he was a shepard and jack carries a crook as his staff so i think he was a shepard too. Maybe incorporate jacks death into charmings backstory. That is one thing they didn't deal with in the movie is the guardians reaction to how jack became a spirit. They dont know jack was revived by manny as shown by toothiana's reaction to jack having no memory of his past.
@james howe: Rumpelstiltskin is a traditional fairy tale character. He's public domain. Charlie and Willy Wonka are not. If Disney included them in any of their work, they'd get in trouble with Roald Dahl's estate, Paramount, or Warner Bros. (the companies that made the film adaptations).
I used to be such a huge fan of Once Upon a Time. Then the Frozen arc came around and I feel like the show got worse from then on... Still love Lana though!❤️
Megan Bos I had really started losing hope after the Frozen arc and The Queens of Darkness arc. Then when they announced all the season 7 departures I was certain the show was dead, but it is shaping up to look pretty interesting. Though, I'm not so sure about Cinderella. The actress playing her has got to step it up, otherwise we'll have another David on our hands. He never really seems to grow into his role other than the husband of Snow White.

I definitely agree with these, especially Quasimodo, but the characters I most want to see from Disney are actually Jack Skellington and Sally. I wrote all those characters into fanfaction because I don't think it'll ever happen. From general literature, I still wonder why they haven't gone after characters from Shakespeare. Romeo, Juliet, Hamlet, perhaps even Falstaff would make interesting regulars.

Their not disney characters but jack frost and pitch black from rise of the guardians would be interesting additions to the show. Pitch black especially would a interesting rival to rumplestiltskin. His backstory is very similar to rumplestiltskin but his daughter is mother nature.

Pitch black would be interesting as there are three possibilities for his character. He could be a rival for rumplestiltskin, rumplestiltskin's teacher in magic or a previous dark one. Jack frost would be interesting as a protector of children.
I know their not from Disney but I've wanted Pitch, Jack and the guardians to be in there too. Mother Nature would be awesome to see! I think it would only work if the main characters get introduced to the "unseen" spirit world. Then they can meet Pitch and the guardians and learn that magic is everywhere and not just in storybrooke.
Bridget Dockstader it could work if jack was a childhood friend of charming because of his past. He was a farmer before rumple used him as a stand in for his twin brother. Jacks staff is a shepard's crook and he was carrying it in his memories which is rather indicative that he was a sheep herder. Also pitch would be a interesting past dark one. His back story is rather tragic and in some ways similar to rumples.
Bridget Dockstader or another interesting approach for pitch would be to have him be a prisoner of the dark ones dagger. There was in one of the books a storyline in which he was trapped in a enchanted dagger for some time. I think that he was released when jack frost was revived by manny.
Tarzan and Jane are unlikely since Disney doesn't really own them.
They could do Christopher Robin, but they will have to keep his appearance a distance away from the reslease of the live action Christopher Robin film. Disney doesn't like to overflow the market with too many versions of the same character at once. I think that is why Maleficent and Cinderella weren't used that much in the earlier seasons, so that there wouldn't be multiple versions in the show and in their live action films. The same will probably apply to Mary Poppins.
I wish they went back to Storybook. I accepted that Emma and the gang won’t be in the show anymore, but this new season feels like a different show. If they went back to storybook with some character we know (except the new Cinderella and other characters that are replaced) I would watch it again.

Alison Carboni My favorite Disney classics are The Sword & the Stone and The Black Cauldron so I'd love to see The Black Cauldron included into the show. They've done well portraying Arthur as someone with a hidden agenda. It'd be interesting to see what they could come up with for Taran.

I really want to see Maui meet Rumplestiltskin. More importantly, I want to just see the main cast see a non-fairy, incredible powerful magical figure who is not a villain. A character with magic that actually believes that his talents make him a hero. I am finishing the second season and it seems that so far the message is that humans using too much magic corrupts them. He could possibly give Reginia hope that she can be a sorceress and a good person too.

In the real book. Quasimodo sacrificed Esmeralda to Frodo after the rejection. Later on he felt it was a mistake because he was addicted in Temptation for her, completely infatuated by her.
Pocahontas was actually 13 years old could not from her from home by a white man who she falls in love with, but later on he saled her and she actually played the role sort of like a prostitute. I agree with Milana, Maui, the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, yzma, Mary Poppins, I feel James from James in the Giant Peach should have made a list along with Thumbelina, Simba, scar, Rafiki, (look, how cool would it be if Rafiki was out to your wizard kind of similar to Merlin? And has been trapped in an animal state for a while.) Morgana, Basile The Great Mouse Detective, gurgi from Black Cauldron, and if possible Judge Doom from Who Framed Rodger Rabbit.
Oh and also Kim Possible, Shego and Doctor Drakken.

With a more realistic series like OUaT, you'd either have to go all the way with the real story and risk triggering the more sensitive, or stick to the movie world and have those historical purists upset all over again. Also, I kind of wish they would add more animal characters to the series. I know it might put a strain on the CG budget, but imagine Scar and Shere Khan working together and watching the main heroes work with Baloo and Timon/Puumba, or even a run in with Rattigan. Heck, you could have a story where they go to find Sherlock Holmes, then discover that Basil is actually far smarter and more clever.
It'd be a bit hard for them to get the live action movie characters in the show, since they are, ya know played by actors who I'm sure will cost a lot more then the show could afford.

To be honest I don't like season 7 that much. The reason is the actress they picked for Cinderella doesn't know how to act that well just my opinion and also I didn't like when Belle died. And I hope we get to see some of the main characters from season 1 to 6. Again just my opinion. But at least I get to see Regina, Hook and Rumple.
Sandra Aguilar I say that everytime I see a scene with her, she's not selling Cinderella for me. The step mom as well.... I love the guy that plays adult Henry tho he legit seem like he's the old Henry

Maybe incorporate jacks death into charmings backstory. That is one thing they didn't deal with in the movie is the guardians reaction to how jack became a spirit. They dont know jack was revived by manny as shown by toothiana's reaction to jack having no memory of his past.

@james howe: Rumpelstiltskin is a traditional fairy tale character. He's public domain. Charlie and Willy Wonka are not. If Disney included them in any of their work, they'd get in trouble with Roald Dahl's estate, Paramount, or Warner Bros. (the companies that made the film adaptations).
Maui and Moana are not in the show, but Maui's Hook is. In the show, it is able to break any prison. It was introduced in Season 7.

Megan Bos I had really started losing hope after the Frozen arc and The Queens of Darkness arc. Then when they announced all the season 7 departures I was certain the show was dead, but it is shaping up to look pretty interesting. Though, I'm not so sure about Cinderella. The actress playing her has got to step it up, otherwise we'll have another David on our hands. He never really seems to grow into his role other than the husband of Snow White.
