    Wow! I know what fruit tree I am adding to my collection! Thank you for sharing!

    That’s great! Wow!
    I wish I could get more on mine but the squirrels start ripping them off when they are green. I’ve caged off the smaller trees but the big ones just get stripped clean. They don’t even eat them lol 😂

      Yeah the squirrels used to rob everything off every fruit tree..till I started to harvest the squirrels on a regular..now my garden grows fruits, vegetables and tasty squirrels..a $35 Walmart BB gun will harvest squirrels for decades..

    I think with it getting so large it has more leaves and a bigger root system that gives it better production. You don’t have humidity issues there like we have along the gulf coast . It definitely likes where it’s located for sure . You only need one tree when you get that much fruit !

    so interesting! I planted a Florida Prince Peach tree , it will be 2 years old this coming Aug 2024. Yes it does produce sweet and juicy, for young tree it does have 3 dozens on it right now. It’s not that tall from the ground but has so many branches. Am looking forward more fruits next year

    How do you keep the critters from eating your peaches.? Do you have a Florida prince tree that I can purchase at this time, thankyou.

    Do you spray in winter dormant stage to prevent red leaf curl?

  • @marschlosser4540

    My tree died. Too much wind in the canyon burned off the leaves. Till the wind-resistant tree canopy closes in I can forget having peaches, plums, and pom fruit. The capulin cherry loves it here, tho. If it bears well, then a few more will be added.

      I wonder if you could grow them in containers and keep them close to the house for some wind protection. I know trees do better in the ground, but it might be better than nothing. I'm growing a bunch in containers to shield them from fungus that comes from getting hit by the sprinklers every day.

    • @marschlosser4540
      @marschlosser4540 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jennhoff03 Wind shelter! I'm in zone 9 A in a wind tunnel of a canyon. We went thru 3 years of brush fires, heat, and drought. We can get down to 4% humidity, 100 degrees, and 20 MPH winds.
      Containers work. I sent for a calamondin orange that was supposed to come in October. It got here in March and spent the summer in a container. But, it gets rootbound easily. That and not allow the sun to heat the pot are the main things. Best spots for trees are east and south side of the house.
      I started to use straight peat to plant in. But, packing a large pot (20 gallons and up) with grass, weeds, and some brush then capping with dirt works well. It takes 2 weeks to compost.
