    Please guys be careful of handlebar raisers. I get it for comfort but it changes the geometry and takes your weight off the front which has a big impact on traction -Especially off-road. I’ve been to BMW-Rider academy and on one of the tracks they don’t allow bikes with raisers due to the amount of crashes that’s happened with guys using Bar raisers. I’m probably gonna get a lot of flack for this but I’m doing it for your safety. (I’m 1.88 so I many times feel I need them to make standing more comfortable but I never did)

      Fair comment. But most professional reviewers agree the bars are set up for asphalt more than off road. I can see your point though. I won't be doing any more than fire trails on mine 👍

    Transalp has the same problem with ride by wire throttle. Greets from Benalmádena!

    When EURO4 regulations were introduced, many new bikes "suddenly got" snatchy throttle response. Like my Versys-X 300. Got used to it, compensating with the clutch. Would be nicer if this wasn't an issue.

      @motechRevolution  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hoping that it's resolved using the clutch slow moving is a pain. Mine has got much better post 600kms

    How high is that additional wind deflector? Is it worth it? Does it reduce turbulences?

    • @motechRevolution
      @motechRevolution  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes the deflector works ok. I have it set at the lowest setting. It can go up another 5cm but can hinder vision with a passenger then due to rear end sag.

    Ive recently bought a CF Moto MT 800 Explore i had a GS1250 previously. I changed due to the spiralling cost of the new GS. I had the same snatchy throttle issue on my Explore it went back to the dealers this weekend and they installed an updated map which has not completly solved it but made it an awefull lot better. In essence im sure will get a new map soon .Its a lot to do with the emission requirements of different countries i believe. Ive giv you a sub please give me one back and we can then both track our adventures on our new bikes

      Thanks for the info, I will sub. I filled the bike with 98 octain after the video above and it was a huge improvement. I'm guessing the mapping for running in also maybe slightly different. I'll ask them to check for a map update at the first service. ✌️

    Hi first of all good review, What is your height and have you measured the correct height of the seat from the ground and how does your height fit with the ergonomics of the DS900X? My height is 186cm and I'm afraid if I will fit in ☹️. In the meantime, there will be no test model in my country, the first shipment is coming in the middle of June and if I wait until then there will be no free DS900X left.

    • @motechRevolution
      @motechRevolution  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, I am 178cm around 77kg. You will need bar raisers and a higher seat probably.

    • @motechRevolution
      @motechRevolution  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I find the seat height perfect for my height. But the footrests are quite high for the overall ground clearance. I find my legs more bent than on my Vstrom. I think there are some options out there to drop the foot pegs. That with bar raisers would make the bike more comfortable.

    • @onthepegs
      @onthepegs 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I am 186 too. Will replace footpegs to sw motech adjustable ones and elevate the seat. But with higher seat I am afraid not even GIVI windshield will be enough... If GIVI comes up with one at all!

      Hey, I asked a dealer to measure for me and they measured it at 830mm - way too low for me (I’m 1.88) the dealer only has this height available and can’t seem to order one with a higher seat) - I have serious knee issues so I can’t sit at an extreme angle for long so it’s unfortunately off the cards for me)

    Would you still recommend the bike? Do you find those problems are serious as if you knew them before, would deter you from buy it?

    • @motechRevolution
      @motechRevolution  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      If I had test drove one the initial impression might have put me off, but after now covering 600 KMS I would highly recommend buying it. You get accustomed to the way it is. A test ride would be prudent if you have expectations or ride a super smooth Honda for example. Lots of Dual sport adventure bikes are similar to the Voge, KTM for example. The torque and the usable power the motor produces are superb. The minor niggles o have outlined may not be a problem for many, plus I'm guessing over time with mapping and running in most of the points I mentioned would be alleviated.

      @@motechRevolution Thanks for the reply. I'm after the bike and waiting for her for a long time. Checking A LOT of reviews like yours helped me so much. I'll try to test drive it this week aswell as the QJ SRT 700x. Cheers from Portugal!

    • @HorusOliveira
      @HorusOliveira 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @motechRevolution well, yesterday I tested both the QJ SRT 700x and the Voge DS 900 X, one after the other. And I'm glad I did tested both together. Also, your opinions helped so much aswell. Thank you so much.
      So, before anything else, I may say I was "in love" for the Voge. That one was my 1st choice.
      After the test, my opinions:
      1) Voge's suspension didn't impressed me;
      2) Voge's brakes are good, but not better than the QJ;
      3) Ride by wire didn't impressed me (too snatchi - don't know if this how it writes);
      4) I couldn't understand how I was on 100 km/h and I felt so much wind in my chest (not on the helmet - that I could stand) with the windscreen all the way up. Again, it was on my chest...
      5) No way I would wait 6 months for the bike to arrive. That one put me completely OFF.
      Again, I tested the QJ first and then the Voge. Only this way I was able to compare. And I was SO IN for the Voge...
      I could wait 2 months (maximum) for the bike. Voge was not ready for the success.
      Please keep us posted with your feedback.
      I wish you safe rides.

      @@HorusOliveira you are right on a few points the throttle response is still little off and the screen takes some work with an extender to get right. It's all about our expectations though. I have read so many posts about the BMW 850 GS and they mirror the Voge 900DSX in their ride and feel. I think that for the style of bike, 60 on road and 40 off road the Voge is on par with BMWs f line up and KTM. Triumph tend to be a little smoother but don't have the dual sport pedigree.. So horses for courses. My Vstrom is a superb sport adventure tourer but useless off road. It's all down to your end use. IMO the voge is good at all you ask of it. Not a one trick pony. So in essence like the old land rovers of old not great at everything but good at everything and go anywhere. If we wanted a smooth road bike we would all be on Honda gold wings ✌️ ride safe my friend and thanks for your comments

      It is either really amazing or the big Bike manufacturers have been having one over on us. if the competition do not start including better options within the price, plus lower their retail prices; they are going to lose sales to chinese manufactures. Personally i think this is the best value for money and build quality I have seen.

    You’re riding centre and L/h/s rather a lot on foreign roads. The bike sounds good though. Should demonstrate how the cruise control works too, since you’re complaining about the throttle response a fair bit

    • @motechRevolution
      @motechRevolution  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The camera is set on far right of the helmet so gives an impression that I'm further left, although on on a lot of our country roads the centre line is the only part of the road that's not full of pot holes. Even the cars drive down the centre if it's clear. Throttle control is fine after 2nd gear, so cruise wouldn't help. Although the cruise control is really good on the voge.

      To zależy od wyglądu wewnętrznej strony nogi. 76 cm jest w porządku, chociaż nie będziesz mieć płaskich stóp po obu stronach, ale zdecydowanie nie jest to wysoka wysokość siedziska wynosząca 825 mm
