May the Universe always shine its Light, Energy, Frequency and Vibrations on the Cajun People and their culture! I celebrate my Grandmother's French Canadian Ancestry (LaLondes) who some of them migrated to Southern Louisiana many, many eons ago. Each and every morning when I wake up I play my uplifting Cajun Music to word off any bad, egotistical negative vibrations. Try it, it works!! Would love to hear from some LaLondes if your out their. From a Vietnam Era Marine Corps veteran.
This performance gets a wow from me. Jesse and Gina together is pure musical magic. I can see why so many accordian players request her. The old man dancing with the young girl was a delightful unexpected surprise. A stellar performance. Thank you for posting.
@@tommyotero7465 she is the fiddler of choice for all cajun performances . . . you will see her playing with everyone in cajun music land . . . they all love her and she's from mississippi, not louisiana! . . . she learned the cajun fiddle exceptionally well.
I was depressed till I remembered my childhood with family all around, cousins playing accordion and everyone dancing. All of a sudden my foot is tappin along. Thank you Thank you!
Here, here....but then they can play....long may their likes last...you could also add noise/black hats / dark glasses..and man dear they have no beards and have haircuts....how do they do it!?
Beautiful music. Yes I agree "Maison de Pouchon " It is not exclusively American music but the term Cajun is American which originated from Acadian who were French Canadians who brought their music to Louisiana after being deported by the Brits in the Maritimes. What is wonderful it also morphed into Afro American style called Zydeco which originated from the French term "Les Haricots Vert". Also wouldn't it be more forthright to express yourself in English. Tu Comprends ?
I live in New Orleans but born and raised in NYC. Married in 2008 to a Hurricane Katrina survivor who came up north in 2005 - looking for maritime work. We live in the French Quarter now (2024), where I am a textile artist. One of my earliest projects after I first arrived was restoring a Cajun themed quilt. What an honor to be able to use my lifetime of skills (I am now 76)...and bring back a bit of history from this amazing, unique culture. My dream will be to find the descendants of the woman who originally made this lovely quilt....Meantime....Aiiii---eeee!!!

I could listen to this music all day that accordion or whatever you might want to call it it makes the Beautiful music and those guys playing the fiddle in the other instruments sounds terrific
you guys are awesome .. i am from the State of Maine..and it is my understanding the Cajuns originated up here.. when the British moved in , they kicked you guys out and you got on boats and headed for Louisiana because it was a French colony.. i love Cajun fiddle and also i do play the regular accordion some.. i mean the type which has a keyboard as opposed to buttons.
Never heard of Cajun music before and don't know much about it, but it gets my feet jumping around and I love the music. I tried talking to a Cajun once down in New Orleans while unloading my truck, had no idea what he was saying but we both wound up laughing.
It's nice to watch what seems like a working man playing music. He reminds me of my lobster fisherman uncle from the Madgelen Islands where I grew up. Acadian stock also.
Wonderful music, I belive is falling down from heaven , bc. moves the soul, and drive away. any sadness The harmony , rhythm is perfect !!! I appreciate your musical sense Jesse Lege bc you play only good ,high style melodies

Music from this part of the world always seems so happy. If you're having a bad day, find some cajun music and I guarantee your day will get better or you won't care anymore!
I'm pretty new to the Cajun and Zydeco scene; started out with Jo El Sonnier and the Cajun Playboys and was very happy to stumble upon this gem. My right foot is the designated tapping foot, but I was tapping so vigorously that I had to switch to the left halfway through😅😅
Hi, I'm from South Africa. This is pure talent. I love your music - very lively foot stomping and entertaining. The music sounds much like our traditional Country music called "Boere Musiek" played with concertina, Banjo, Acoustic guitar, sometimes fiddle added. No electrics.
Fantastic!! I’m going to slow this down and practice the accordion part. I doubt I’ll ever play it as nicely as the superhuman on stage here but it’ll make me a better player than I am now.
Here in the uk having a drop of Pride of Louisiana in a mason jar of course Bayou Rum while listening to my TH-cam colection of cajun and zydeco music and this tune is one of my favourites along with grand mamou
J aime votre musique un vrai plaisir a entendre but i gues like cajun i dont know if you read french but or myself it ,s a great pleasure to ear on the net. Un vrai plaisirs de vs éc coyté
I really like this song and the way you play it. The dancers reminds me of my dad. I wished I knew what the dance in this video was called. I've loved to dance for at least 50 years and would like to learn the dance. Thanks so much for this.

Best damn Cajun video/song on youtube. I picture the older gentleman dancing with the young lady as her grandad. Wish they were out front a bit.
Look up D L Menard and Les Angeles (sp) playing " The Back Door".
Thanks for the tip Linda. DL Menard was a great musician for sure. I really liked The Back Door song.

As long as there is cajun music, this World can't be all that bad!

You are right ! This repetitive music is like a typhoon, you can't escape it's beat ! What a joy !
