I couldn't disagree with you more, I absolutely love the shiny, sparkly, and pearly trans am paint. I definitely stands out from the white, red, and blue gundam sets I have 😹. Also i'm easily impressed by pretty things.

Bandai is releasing the the regular HWS and purple colored parts for age ii sv version from episode 25 in a build custom set. Also I think it is ok that it was standard release, if they released it in normal colors with the weapons it would decrease sells of the regular one. I think there was no good reason to make it a silver tier just because of colors...

My Fiance' wanted this for her first Gunpla build. She's in love with the pearlescent effect. It isn't my favorite but if it gets her into the hobby I think that's what matters.
Just got this kit delivered in the mail today and absolutely can’t wait to build it. Also have the AGE II Magnum SV Ver so I want to play around with some action poses of the 2 suits squaring off against each other.
Just picked this up because 1. Only 00 Sky in the shop and 2. I love the Trans Am colors.
And thanks to this video, I now know it comes with a stand. Finally! I've been needing one.
Thankfully the hws and sv is coming in it's own build custom version. Been checking my local store every day waiting for it
The HWS add-on is also part of the new HGBC HWS & SV Customize weapons that is now released this January, if you want the regular 00 Sky with those weapons.
People tend to hate the base gundam, which has a similar neo-ish color scheme as the 00 sky (higher than sky). However, the higher than sky pulls that off by having the effect parts, I feel. The bight blue energy effect allows you to imagine that the suit's color scheme is because the energy's light is washing out its colors. i feel the transam version is missed potential. if they included something like red energy effects, I feel they could have pulled this image off more easily.
Translucent plastics are something more like a layered effect, like you've seen other bandai Figurise LABO statue kits that has skin-tones without using outer-layered paints. Which is quite personally a first i've seen such material.

im happy with your review. cuz the HWS and the large funnels of the age II magnum SV, are released together as HGBC. so people can get that, and the higher than sky phase, and thats it. i only got the regular 00 sky, and the higher than sky phase, as i wanna save money for the HG in build divers season 2.

There is an HGBC HWS part coming later, probably next month if I'm not mistaken. It also comes with the SV parts for the Age 2 Magnum.
I think I'll get this kit. The HWS parts are getting released in the build custom line.
I dig the pink & purple on it makes it feel "PRETTY" XD
If it bugs you that much,just get the separate weapon set,it also comes with the FX parts for the Age ll Magnum,I'm pretty sure it's already out since it was supposed to be out around the same time as Age ll Magnum FX and 00 Sky Trans-Am Infinity,but I could be wrong with the release date
Going to get the Higher then the Sky version and use a Citadel Blue paint I like on it.
Almost went with this kit over the standard 00 Sky. Glad I went with the standard kit cause like you said the pearlescent colors just aren’t doing it for me.

Heads up: they're launching the HWS pack as a separate build custom kit(which comes with the giant bits for the AGE-2 Magnum).
And it's not in gloss.
Of those three I'd take this one rather than the others, I love the colors. Can't tell about the glitter quality, but if I had a choice, Trans Am Infinity for me. I want more pink MS!

Bandai announced a HGBC set of the HWS with the parts for the Age 2 SV version parts in normal colors.
I'm sure they're gonna go this way if they ever make a Figure-Rise Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken Goku model

Bandai is releasing an accessory pack that includes both the HWS for the Sky and SV system for the Age II Magnum
the backpack reminded me of flauros's dainsleif cannons for some reasons

There is the HGBC HWS comming though. So you can just buy that one. You'll have both HWS 00 Sky and SV ver Age Magnum (if you have the kits already)

i think you can buy the HWS thru the HWS + sv custom weapon set, you can also make the AGE II magnum sv ver in original colors

The pack has a standard option parts release. If you don't like the color and don't paint just spend a couple of extra bucks and get it with the standard or sky phase.

i see that they are still haven't fully mastered pearlescent injected plastic, as in molding the thing without swirls.
I honestly expect and hope they just make a full armor 00 sky like they did with the unicorn, just somehow fit all accessories from 00 sky kits onto one

A bit curious here... would sanding and buffering the Pearlescent parts make it look WAY better or I'd be better off painting the entire kit from scratch...
Paint it, the gloss injection is all the way through the plastic, not just a surfacing

The waist part is on the wrong way. It should have the dip in the from for the ab crunch .

But they continue with build drivers anime ? The only kit of thi series that i will have it is the desperado gundam and the gundam of sara of the last episode.

A MG of this is gonna be awesome. The gundam is awesome. (Except for the pilot, he's highly generic)
Mr. Cranker honestly I prefer the 00 diver ace, it looked a lot cooler in my opinion and it at least didn't take inspiration from a really dumb Gundam. And yeah, Riku is definitely generic and when they tried to give him more depth in the later parts of the season, it was forced, cringy, and gave me freaking Kira and shinn flashbacks from seed and seed destiny, that is not a good thing for a character to do.
judeskater93 Also, one more thing. 🙏 Yuuki... boi wtf were you thinking? Come on, Yuuki. You could have done so much better than a grunt suit. Or at least not make it look like the cheese master, or that good awful Jegan blast master.
Mr. Cranker honestly the use of grunt suits I have no issues with, it's an interesting idea to see the underdog mobile suits show what they got, my favorites being the powered gm, GM custom, the jesta, even though it's not exactly a grunt suit, and the powered gm cardigan. That being said, yuukis mobile suits are awful!!!! The gm 3 beam master is an interesting attemp, the changeling rifle is pretty cool, but it's weighed down by the lower than average articulation and easy to fall off parts, as for the jegan beam master it's on the same crap level as the Gundam Tristan, arguably the worst model kit to date.

The HWS would have been great in metallic colors. Tbh I thought they were in metallic colors when I first saw the images for the kit.
i broke mine so much when i build this thing. i treated it horrible during the process of construction and then it fell off my shelf and lost like 4 parts so it killed itself
