$90K is a mountain of cash for a 1/2 ton, but the Big 3 has identified that there is a large market for these luxury trucks, just like there is a large market for the off-road trucks like Raptor/ZR2/TRX. So it makes sense at a business level.
Ford probably wanted to eliminate some duplications on Platinum vs Limited, as the Limited didn't seem like that large of a step-up from the Platinum except for some trim pieces here and there. I do like that they give such large arrays to spec the Platinum, except in 1 way: Engines. The 5.0 should still be on offer for the top trim, as a way to at least compete with GM. Ford announced that they would be going super aggressive on hybrid power and I knew that meant more Powerboost trucks.
I still see more GM influence in some styling elements of this truck(updated front end and wheels for sure), and no bedliner on a $90K truck??? I know Ford uses that as one of the tricks to claim highest payload in class, but a Platinum 703 buyer doesn't give a darn about that! And this truck does duty against the Sierra Ulimate and Ram Tungsten, but the interior still isn't quite up to those trucks standards. They should've used some of the Lincoln designers to really raise the bar on the Platinum trucks.
I just ordered mine, the new Tailgates won't be on the Platinum Plus models built before Feb 16th 2024, this is a great review I ordered mine in the same color, with a few additions for the factory of course (Spray In Bed Liner & Tonneau cover). Probably bee a few months before I get it, but I can't wait. Thanks for the Video!

People purposely order their trucks without the spray in bedliner because it can result in the truck being delivered earlier, Ford gives you the option to remove stuff for a faster delivery

Looks nothing like a platinum, since ford removed the tailgate badging, this truck looks very plain, more like an over priced XLT. To be honest, my 2021 platinum has looks a lot better, and has just as many options, except the overhead display.
