I love the video. I wanted to know more about your aim (swing distance or aggressiveness) when in a bunker? Do you aim (like your swing) like an uphill putt, which would be past the flag because of the sand so that you know your ball will be short and roll? or do you aim short (before the flag) because of roll? Thank you guys I have watched your video and have GREATLY improved my golf.
Ive always just felt like I get as steep as possible and throw my hands quickly straight into the ground moving left and it comes out almost always. If you need spin hit closer to the ball. For height get low and keep the hands low. Thats basically it.
Hey guys -- great video as always. It seems like Andy might have touched on this with the loft/bounce discussion, but I'd like to know more about distance control on greenside bunker shots.
Great video boys if it works for a tour pro it works for me 👏👏 he did well at Houston open ( had a chance to win) yes please videos with Aaron - it’s their mindset and approach to shots I find useful
My problem is the same as what you mentioned in passing is that i hit the sand too far behind the ball. If i cant fix this no point opening the club face
Great video thank you! Quick question - when you open the face up, the leading edge becomes higher as you mentioned, how do you prevent/avoid skulling the ball?
Need a little more steepness and having the face less open and maybe with a 60 can work better so help create a little less bounce and a little more dig.
Every single golf course I play has different types of sand, mostly dirt mixed with sand, and some just dirt. Some men’s club have you move it out of the dirt bunker with no penalty. Not a PGA course
Can you do one with heavy, wet and shallow traps? my course has all three
Got the same thing, these fluffy sand traps are only around 1 month a year.
@@ToffepeerTH Yep
One of the most satisfy feeling on the course, when you got the ball out of bunker, and it just hop and stop.
Thanks!
Thanks!
This video was super fantastic! Can we have more like this one please! Maybe fairway bunkers or wet sand when the ball is plugged in the bunker.

Would love more content with Aaron!
will get something in soon.
Really helpful info. Thanks for breaking it down
Pleasure. Hope this helps.
@@meandmygolf. I’m on the first tee at the moment and it’s a wet day so there won’t be any grandma puffs of light sand today
Please do a video of different types of shot game shots!🙏🙏
one simple statement there. longer back swing explained. Open club face and sand take so much energy, don't be afraid to swing long. Thank you.
When I open the face that much on a bunker shot it scares the ish out of me. 😂. Will practice. Great video. Thanks.
Awesome video on bunker play, bring Arron on, love to watch your interactions with students!
Thanks Andy. Will get Aaron on at some point.
Phenomenal video gentlemen.
Thanks Jonathan!
Very helpful video
Glad you think so!

Hi Jeff. There are a few ways to change distance control. Loft, entry point and speed of swing.
Well done guys 😊
Thanks Roy@! Hope you are well.
The best golf guys on TH-cam
Thanks so much for your support

Thanks John. Yes he's close at the moment. Whole game is good. Hope this was useful.
I need to give this a shot. Bunkers have been killing me.
Let us know how it goes Edwin.
No sand ? Municipal Herr in Arizona have dirt or hard pan
Would you still use this same technique if the ball is sitting right below the steep side? I notice your ball was quite far from the side.
Nice work!
Thanks Dennis.

By keeping the eight in the lead leg ensuring you drive down in to the sand.
How about using this technique with compact and tight sand. Would it work ?
Need a little more steepness and having the face less open and maybe with a 60 can work better so help create a little less bounce and a little more dig.
face magnet was the key....show it to Martin Borgmeier cuz when Bryson tried to explain it to him he was lost
Try this tomorrow
Every single golf course I play has different types of sand, mostly dirt mixed with sand, and some just dirt. Some men’s club have you move it out of the dirt bunker with no penalty. Not a PGA course
Every time I fully open the face I shank the ball. So I keep the face closed.
You guys are not matched in clothing in this video..lol..excellent video
Not for some time now Randy. Glad you liked the video.
learn the flop shot on grass and take that method into a bunker repeat!!! end of lesson.
Probable a little less weight in the lead leg for a flop shot but certainly close.
eeeee!
Be careful striking a match near granmas fart😅
Grandma’s fart! Disgraceful description. 😊
A grandma’s Fart? Really? How unprofessional
Just having a little fun Chris. 😂
