Couldn't ask for a better demo of anything than that was. Nice!
@@brucena8462 ahhh thanks man. Much appreciated ð
Very clear sound. Perfect for any gig. Versatility is a great thing for an amp.
@@barackmycat9448 yeah I guess eh? If I had to play acoustic for some reason, I wouldn't hesitate to use the Quilter but I'm thinking there are preamps out there better suited for acoustic guitar!

I use my Boss GT-3 .
It has an acoustic setting on it. I use it along with a Dean Markley Pro-Mag pickup, which i can slip in and out of the soundhole.
It sounds really good.
especially through a large PA system.
The GT-3 also has about a dozen settings like reverb chorus and a bunch of others that sound weird. The GT-3 is an old and probably rare multi-effects peddleboard that would be hard to find nowadays. But if you could get your hands on one, you would not have to use the actual peddleboard you have.
That is because the GT-3 is a compact 1 unit deal that does everything under the sun.
Really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. ð
@Vern859 cool man and thanks for the info! I had a digital Boss unit years ago. Don't remember what it was but I was always tweaking the knobs, I was never happy with my tone. It was probably more me than the unit hahaha but I went back to pedals and I never looked back ð
@j-man9457
I have both now.
But i tend to get a really nice tone both ways. The GT-3 is just more versatile, and it is a tank. ð
@Vern859 cool man. Do you have to download IRs and do software updates on that one? Or it's just whatever is in it, is in it... Hahah
You sounded great! I love the acoustic chime - you rocked Wanted Dead or Alive with that guitar. Great demo! Thanks, J-Man!
@@TonJager hey thanks for the vote of confidence... Much appreciated ð
That pedal boosted that electro-acoustic superbly, delivering a very clean, bright and articulate sound. Get out a fiddle for this pedal! (Kidding!) Very cool demo!
@@calbrockocat8728 yeah it wasn't too bad I guess ð no fiddles here haha!
Hey J-Man, I really appreciate getting this together soon! Your acoustic chops are really great despite not having too much experience with them. What I think I realize is that this pedal is optimized for the electric guitar player, not acoustic guitar. It didnât sound horrible but it wasnât the best tone either. It had nothing to do with your playing which is excellent. Iâm using a Fishman Tonedeq DI now and I will just stick with that. Major props to you brother for your performance and help to the acoustic guitar community ð
@@im58woody hey thanks. Glad to help. Yup I agree. Definitely an electric guitar geared device ð
Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
First AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a Pro Acoustic Player!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@theguitarprofessionals8584 ahhhh thanks, but when it comes to Acoustics, you're the pro TGP! ðĪ
When you were playing I thought Wow see how different his noodling sounds on an acoustic?
@theguitarprofessionals8584 I found it to be pretty roughð
Sounds like a winner, J-Man. Thanks for posting.
@@henrysolis8996 thanks for stopping by!ðĪ
J-Man: "I can't play acoustic, I don't know anything about acoustic". Then sounds perfectly competent playing an acoustic. Enjoying your DirectAmp demos! I want an FRFR and this 8" Headrush sounds great. I'm thinking about the Fender FRx since they have onboard EQ, but pricier than Headrush.
@@jimmyjames2022 hahaha well whatever I play on electric, I attempt to play on acoustic hahaha! It's rough!
I like the Headrush because you just turn it on and that's it hahaha nothing to screw around with. I use my amp for any tonal changes I want to tweak! ð
Go onto youtube and in the search window type Marcin guitar, watch any of the links of him that come up,it will broaden your horizon and blow your mind.Acoustic guitar playing will never be the same because of him.Enjoy..............................
@@russellharris5072 thanks!
Yeah there are some amazing players out there and I'm not one of them hahaha!
Nice
You sound great - time for an acoustic segment when you are playing live :)
@@Acreustic hahaha thanks, but not gonna happen! ðĪŠ
sounding great brotha!
taylor and martin is like ford VS chevy.....depends on which one ya like....
For a Non Acoustic player, you nailed it!
So when you gonna jump over to that uprightðąðĪðĨðŠð
Deliverance anyone?ðŽ
@@guitarzan0515Thanks haha... Piano was my sister's before I bought the house from my parents. It's just there because it's too big to take out haha!
Loving the holiday haircut mate, very sharp.
Is there any chance you could get your hands on an Ibanez ic420 and give us your opinion, please.
@@lesdixon7487 hey thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I don't know anyone who has one and now of the local stores have any in stock. There are a few in store in Ontario Canada, but that's a 17 hours away by car ðŦĪ
Just one more thing... keep up the good work.
@lesdixon7487 thanks buddy and If I can get my hands on a IC 420 I'll definitely post a vid!
The kids in the music program at your school may want to hear you j-man. By the way, that Taylor is worth more than your American Fender Tele.
@@jcanuk269 hmmmm doubt they want to hear me lol! And I'm surprised that a Taylor is worth that much ðŊ
I wasn't super impressed with it. It sure didn't make me want to go out and get one hahaha!
@@j-man9457 Neil Young is a big fan of Taylors. Played one for years. Good thing you didn't get a Martin in your hands. 8-10 Jamez guitars for a cheap one.
Acoustic guitars are shockingly different from electric guitars, aren't they?!? They have exactly the same fretboard layout as electrics, and yet, they do play differently... Heavier gauge strings with bronze windings instead of nickel windings, and (typically) slightly higher action than electric guitars make a big difference to the feel!
@@zuperdee yup for sure! Never got on to them ðŦĪ
