Indian Railways can earn more profit by strictly implementing 100 - 10,000 Rs fine for causing any kind of public nuisance & environment damages,it will make the public transport and places tidy and create self awareness to the people.
Note the bars on the windows of the carriages : they are there to stop the freeloaders boarding. However, if the train crashes, or there is a fire, or the train ends up in a river - the passengers are trapped and can't get out! Nice!!
Jonathan R Lewis Those bars are on the non air conditioned coaches just to ensure that people don't extend their head out and also to prevent theft etc . In case of disasters , emergency windows have been provided in every coach which can be fully opened for people to get out . :)

With our railway minister giving thrust to cleanliness and adopting the station thought that i can share some idea to keep it clean. it is quite simple and cost effective and hygienic actually. Here is how we can achieve this. Just place a "V" shaped brooms below the engine that can be lowered before it enters the train this will sweep all the filth to the front in the pit lying at the center. Now have another "V" broom that can be lowered below form each of the compartment it is fixed or at least fixed to the last compartment. this will ensure that the filth generated while train is halting at station will be removed when the train leaves the platform.

i dont get the storyline... the blind man gets the litter. then the blind man puts it surprisingly away. then the other man who had NOTICED before that he was blind gets sad. whats the storyline?
we make excuses and justify our [wrong] habits. we throw garbage here and there saying there is no dustbin. when dustbin is there, we say we can't go closer as dustbin is stinking. God knows when the change will come from within, or will it ever come!!
