4vep vik these are nearly 100mph slower than Uk main line trains (125mph) the javelins on HS1 140mph eurostar 186mph section of the ECML 140mph new trains on the ECML may also routinley travell at 140mph so no these are nowhere near uk speeds....
@@Hsh637 you are right. But the per axle load on our tracks is much much greater therefore we cannot afford high speeds like 200kph. The tracks are perfectly capable of 210kph but the wear is much too high to permit the trains

Our LIRR are the only trains we have that comes close. Express running on the local track here is between 85-95 mph. But those trains are sick. More than a 100mph easy. Oh, and I've always loved trains!!!

High speed limitations and mostly due to the quality of tracks rather than engine power. A state of the art locomotive engine costs very little compared to the cost of upgrading the tracks. Besides, very high speed trains are simply not feasible anywhere except very high income countries. Even China is running some of them at losses.
See the coach of our Indian train which runs the fastest, see the engine, heart becomes happy, as soon as I saw the train of Pakistan, it used to run in the way of garbage like turtle does not break. I love my India
Indian Railways have very very few steam locomotives, and all of them are in hilly areas. 😭 Now even diseal locos are very hard to spot, more than 75% of Indian Railways locos are electic.
