    Not just the best car I've ever bought, but the best product I've ever bought. I've owned 5 EVs including a Tesla and I like this more than them all.

      Really interesting to hear that. Really love this car, but probably overall think the Tesla Model Y makes just a bit more sense.

      Ty could you give us more comments and detail?
      As I also dropped my Taycan as well. As the range is too less.
      I also owned m50 but its suspension is shit. The room is not spacious, driving position is weird.
      Really interesting for this one.

    Thank you for the great review! I LOVE this car…My favorite EV. I have had Tesla 3 and Y, and now have the 2023 Polestar 2 all packages and Napa leather. Honestly my favorite car ever….Style, build quality, ride, fit and finish….and speed!!! And the infotainment system, second to none…
    Thanks again

      @robc7563 this is my favourite car to date,reminds me of my Volvo's and has good straight line performance , and it's faster off the line than my GR Yaris was too .only had it for 6 weeks now and already put 1000kms on it

    I bought one and it's great. I wasn't sure about it when I test-drove it as it's so different inside compared to other cars I've driven. Once it arrived it exceeded my expectations. I ordered online and picked it up at Polestar Dublin 12 days later. I love the car and the buying experience was excellent. I bought a standard-range single-motor version and it's a rocket ship compared to most other EVs I've driven even without the dual motor. I'd seriously recommend anyone who likes a slight higher-up car but doesn't require the space of something like an Enyaq or an ID4 to consider one of these. It's probably the best-specced car you can buy as standard with no extras at the moment along with the Model Y. It's so unusual and gets a lot of looks which I didn't expect. I think there's just something about it not fitting into any particular category.

    • @car_babble
      @car_babble  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My thoughts exactly mate! If you bought a top spec Enyaq or ID4 you'd have to spend another 10k to get the same kit and even then you'd have VWG's woeful infotainment. Enjoy the car!

  • @car_babble
    @car_babble  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Correction to my video... the Polestar 2 can now use Tesla Super Chargers as it has a Type 2 CCS connector. The max the battery can accept is 150kW of power. Also, the Polestar 1 is technically a PHEV so not 100% EVs from Polestar.

  • @DiscoDaveTheRave
    @DiscoDaveTheRave ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Another great video. What do you prefer this or the the EQC?

    • @car_babble
      @car_babble  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate! It's hard to compare the 2 as the EQC felt more like a proper SUV in shape, but the Polestar feels a better value car overall. I think if the EQC was 10K cheaper I'd say it was one of the best premium family EV options out there.

  • @raymondhunt6109

    Love the look of these, I believe this shape was to be the replacement for the V40 but was replaced with the XC40.

      @car_babble  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Raymond, thanks for the comment. Yes, I think in the end the XC40 was the replacement for the V40 (video on my channel on both cars), but it definitely feels more like the S60 in some places imo.

    Ah, a launch edition car with Dual Motor Long Range, Pilot, Plus and the bigger wheels, but no Performance or Nappa Leather. I picked up the '22 model in late '21. Love the car. It does get more rear wheel drive centric though in the latest models, which I hear is good fun.

    If you really are disciplined with the accelerator,the consumption is 16ish kWh/100kms.. but if you really enjoy using the power..it goes up to 22kwh/100km ..but it's so much fun to do the latter😅

    • @DevilHorst
      @DevilHorst ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would you need a spare wheel? I have driven a lot since 1998 and never came into a situation in which that was necessary. Sure, it might happen, just like many other problems one may face while driving. But I wouldn't want to permanently carry this extra load for such a rare and unlikely event, especially not in an EV.

      @@car_babble Yes, I sold my GR after 24 months of ownership,it couldn't replace the EVO I had prior and I used to own a lot of Volvo's ..and I saw the polestar and though I have to have a go at it ,test drove it and ordered it immediately(GR sold within hours..)..it felt so familiar.
      The GR was fun but had some short-comings that stopped the "🔥 in my heart " it was a hoot ,and even after remapping etc ,it couldn't replace the spot left by the Evo 🤷 I must say it was easier to drive at 9/10ths than the Evo ..and it did go sideways(made you look brilliant) but that "special something" was missing. .i.e it didn't get your adrenaline pumping like the EVO (the EVO always rewarded the driver by trying to kill you 😅)

    • @car_babble
      @car_babble  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's close but I prefer the M3 as it just feels like a totally new car experience. If you do a lot of long journeys and need fast charging, it's a no brainer on the Tesla.

      Sorry, didn't know that. In the UK it's not the case. Then it comes down to what preferences you have with a car. They both have strengths but I get a lot of satisfaction from my Tesla and it's insanely fast.

      @@car_babble the horsepower of a p2 is like 50hp less than the tesla however the p2 has more torque so if you were to punch it the polestar would go faster in the beginning. And overall its not that much of a differenece. But thank you for your input :)

    • @car_babble

    • @LysanderLH
      @LysanderLH ปีที่แล้ว

      @@car_babble Is it because in ye olde days of motoring, 60mph or even more curiously almost 100kmh; a far more measurable reference point, was at the top of the 3rd gear torque band? Otherwise, who cares ? In Britain, 'derestricted' roads started at 60mph and the national speed limit was equally arbitrarily set at 70mph, when most people travelled either by horse or by balloon!
