I came across your NES re-synthing only a little while ago (at, uh 2 am), but I’m a HUGE fan. I love synth music, and you’ve given all of these tracks a lot of atmosphere and /feeling/ that the original machines couldn’t manage to pull off. It’s a crying shame about the copyright, I’d be /glad/ to give you money for this experience. I’ll be looking forward to any more of these remasters you end up doing, no matter how long they take :)
I’ve never heard versions of Metroid songs that I felt were truly what the originals were intended to sound like, until now. You are incredible. You totally get what Metroid should sound like, vibes and all.
*_YES YES YES._* My favorite track from my favorite game, in analog synths. Gives it a really nice, deep feeling. My only criticism would be I think the bit at 1:21 is a bit _too_ echoey, but that's my opinion. Otherwise it's really nice.
I like how distant the lead sounds there tbh, but it does make it feel like it's supposed to come back for a second time with more punch and volume. Part of the limitations of working with the original arrangement, it makes sense.
These Metroid tracks are a treasure. So faithful yet, unique. Feels like the way these songs were envisioned. Hope to hear more fantastic stuff from you.

The one that sounds kinda like something from traditional Japanese music, but like underwater. I always imagined it as that, like towering traditional Japanese buildings but with technology integrated within it, and it’s submerged in water completely but the lights are still on and this music echoes through the area.
I want to hear more analog synths of Super Metroid. I love listening to your renditions so much, I want to hear the rest completed as well! You do really beautiful compositions, Luminist. Especially since I discovered these wondrous synthesized sonnets on Metroid Database!

This is such a remarkably competent complement to what is a remarkably good soundtrack. As Battlefox64 has suggested, this is something that's good enough that I've actually brought it up in conversations and physically made people go to the computer and check it out.
Thanks for the music, man. And doing collaborations with other channels is a really good way to get the word out and spread your work. I wouldn't have found this is it weren't for the music in Summoning Salt's metroid world record progression video.

The ONLY thing it is missing is that synthisized vocal sample. That really made the original feel so raw and dangerous That being said, all of these remixes are incredibly, this analog 80s sound is perfect for the aesthetic of these games. 1:22 ugh, this part is just the best.

Its not the first time that something that sounds as good as this gets praise from Nintendo and doesnt get approval from them tp use their copyrights (see formation of id Software as a reference).
this version is more aggressive compared to the original, which by no means subtracts from its quality. its just different. the original one was laid back. love this version too.
This is a superior cover to the Micheal Lemanti version, the only thing it's missing is the choral voices samples to make it perfect, but I get that it would mean sampling the original which would shut the whole cover down. Still fucking dope as shit.
Any interest in doing on of these for Metroid 2? It doesn't have a lot of tracks and most of the ones it has are dissonant and weird but I don't know, could be interesting.

Now don't get me wrong, this music is amazing and so is the other content from this channel, but there is something about this music that I disagree with. throughout it, there'll be like this horror violin noise that I think is really unneeded because one, it adds too much noise, and two, it gives a feeling of inhospitality which I don't think fits well with red Brinstar.
I see what you're saying and no worries if you disagree, but personally I think Red Brinstar should feel inhospitable - which is why I choose specific sounds to evoke a feeling of quiet, mysterious danger. Samus is traversing alone on an alien world after all :)

I think I now know why the licensing was rejected, a lot of Super Metroid's OST was resused / remixed in their Metroid 2 remake on the 3DS.
