    Definitely sell both boats and get a rib. Twin 80's or similar on the back saves a little back up engine, they're super safe, stable, durable, quick, and so so versatile. I reckon the ultimate adventure boat, perfect for your lifestyle, mate 👌

    Depends on future plans. Rib is probably more practical for what you want it for, however, the boat for shark hunting in deeper seas is a must. It kind of tears you in two. Get a new engine for the boat, do your shark adventures and then sell when you have accomplished what you wanted to do. 👍

    Hi Matt. Don't be disheartened by those bullies in the yacht club, you'll catch a fish one day.... maybe.... 😀At least you are consistent 🙂
    I bought myself a boat mid June from Kipford in Scotland for a reasonable price and soloed it back to Douglas. It's a 24ft Fletcher with inboard turbo diesel, a V berth, sink, hob and heads. June was ace weather that enabled a couple of sessions out in Douglas Bay and up to Groudle to get used to the handling, then yes... July happened. I'm in the marina behind the flapgate so tide times after work and weather when tides have been favourable have frustrated my attempts for a few weeks, hoping to get the old girl fired up this week or/and at the weekend.
    If you are thinking about a change, have you considered sticking with a Warrior, but stepping up to a 195 or something in the mid to upper 20s? My criteria was small enough to be manageable on my own, big enough to be able to have a couple of friends on board, small enough to not end up with a gas guzzling engine but big enough to be able to head out into the Irish Sea and across to the UK or Ireland a couple of times a year. I've not tried yet, but I should be able to lash the 'sit on' to the front and there's plenty of room for camping gear and kit in the V berth. I bought a wake board and a towable inflatable, so hoping to get some play time in what is left of summer. Your criteria is different to mine and a RIB would make sense in summer, but with the way the weather can turn, something with a cuddy or cabin will give you a longer season, possibly extending it to all year and give you the storage space for rods, bait, cameras and other toys, maybe even a kettle 🙂 I was comfy and confident with 3 of us out in a F3-4 with 1-1.5m choppy waves with a bit to spare if the wind and waves picked up a bit. The boat and I could have handled more, but I'm out for fun, I'm happy to stay on the right side of serious boating. There is an upcoming weekend trip for locals from PSM to Strangford being advertised by the Yacht Clubs. I am sorely tempted to sign up. Could be a good test for your SIB or Charlie Buoy with the added bonus of other boats to all watch out for each other.

      Cheers mate! They’re actually all good eggs in the yacht club! 😬
      I think a bigger warrior would be too big for me on my own, trailering it in etc.
      I’ve been to Strangford lough once before, some interesting whirl pool action there 😂
      Thanks for your comment matey! I’ve got terrible signal right now as I’m half way up a hill, hence the shorter response x

    You could sell the warrior for a newer grp fishing boat with four stroke , or the obvious thing might be to replace the motor on the warrior for a decent newer four stroke.
    Keep the little rib for inshore work and low tide work. For winter work you’ll thank yourself for the cabin! Plus it’ll manage the swells and be a more appropriate deep sea vessel . You could put a bigger motor on the little rib and use the one you have as a back up for the cabin fisher?

  • @JCinematic

    It is relaxing to watch your adventures out on the water. I think your boat looks great to be honest. The starting issue on your two stroke have you had a carb clean and mix the oil to the correct ratio spec? I run my outboards not dry but past the fuel filter to remove old fuel as I find its the old fuel that causes me starting issues.

    Love that boatworld updated those ugly logos on the carbon pro following feedback, they cheapened the look of the whole boat imo 😄
    What do you prefer, air deck or aluminium? Which one is comfier to sit on? And which is better for standing on, are they both equally sturdy?
    Edited to vote team RIB even though thats likely to be the most expensive option 👍😄

    • @AirbornePirates
      @AirbornePirates  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Airdeck was faster probabkh because it’s lighter and a lot easier to setup, although the boatworld carbon for me is getting quicker to setup, took me 15-20 mins now from folded to inflated with floor in

    • @boatsandoutboards9070
      @boatsandoutboards9070 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Threeofakind it takes 15-20minutes to put these in your car, another 15-20 minutes to carry from car to the shore, 15-20minutes to setup, 15-20 minutes to pack and put back into car... if you're gonna wash the boat and the engine , add an extra 30-40minutes of work at home :)
      Don't buy a hard floor if you plan to pack and unpack daily

    • @Sssssssslf
      @Sssssssslf ปีที่แล้ว

      @@boatsandoutboards9070 thankfully I live right on the beach so I'm not going to have the issue of setting/packing up and carrying from car to shore but good advice though. Have you had experience with both airdecks and aluminium floors?

    • @boatsandoutboards9070
      @boatsandoutboards9070 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ThreeOfAKindx3 if you are living right on the beach and have no intention to transport that boat somewhere else, then why don 't you buy a RIB?
      If live on the beach, but you still have to keep the boat inside your house : You still have to pack and unpack everyday , so I still recommend an airdeck+electric pump..maybe a honwave t32ie3

Best bet is to go and sea Kelvin at Patrick and buy a packet of lemon coloured savage sandeels, light spinning setup. You'll not go wrong. Or give me a shout, had 5 novices onboard today and 40 Callig in about an hour. Once you've got the technique sorted you'll never stop catching 🙂.
