      I personally find myself using the half a gallon a lot more often. It's very portable and easy to use.
      I only use the gallon when I'm going long distance and I know I don't have access to water as often as I would like.

    Yeti One gallon is it air tight i need for sustaining HIgh PH alkaline water

    • @rizi
      @rizi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would imagine it is since it doesn't leak any water but I'm not really sure. You can contact yeti for more information.

    • @tomatochemist
      @tomatochemist 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why? If it’s for drinking don’t worry about it. I am a chemist and alkaline water does nothing. Your body’s pH must stay in a narrow range to avoid denaturing enzymes that allow you to live. As a result, there’s all kinds of buffers to eliminate changes in pH. By all means drink alkaline water if you want to, but it won’t affect your pH at all (and that’s a good thing if you want to live lol).

    I wouldn't put anything but water in a $130 jug. Coffee and tea stains "stainless" steel and you can never get it clean. If you want hot coffee get a thermos

    • @rizi
      @rizi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly, as long as the jug functions the way it's supposed to, I wouldn't care how it looks. However, I don't drink anything other than water so I am good to go.

    • @GustavoHernandez1
      @GustavoHernandez1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can get it clean, although it’s very labor intensive to be worth it imo. But try with vinegar and baking soda

    I use my 1 gallon to make yogurt. The yeti is used with warm water to ferment yogurt in an inner glass jar. I leave it for 24 hours and get a lactose free yogurt.
    I would imagine you could thermos cook in this yeti.

    How to clean a stainless steel jug using dirty sponge. I bet you that it was much cleaner before he washed it with that sponge.

    • @rizi
      @rizi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thank you for commenting, I have a dishwasher that I use for them. The sponge was for demo purposes :)

    • @tomatochemist
      @tomatochemist 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1) you can microwave a sponge to kill bacteria; 2) he’s using it with soap and then rinsing in water which is great for removing microbes anyway, 3) The minute you put your hands on anything it’s going to have new bacteria on it, and 4) a small amount of exposure is healthy to keep our immune systems primed to fight more serious illnesses. He’s not eating the sponge, it’ll be fine. :-)
