This microscopical study so how we can germinate pollen by using 10% Glucose solution. Pollen tube forms on the slide in about 20 minutes. If we keep pollen in 10% Glucose solution more then 30 minutes, most of the pollen will germinate. This will facilitate the fertilization in flowering plants. Two male gametes (nuclei) goes through the pollen tube. One fertilizes the female gamete and another fertilizes the secondary nuclei, thus double fertilization and triple fusion occur.
