The Spectacular Spider-Man is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, created and developed by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. In terms of overall tone and style, the series is based principally on the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and John Romita Sr. era of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books, with a similar balance of action, drama, and comedy as well as a high school setting. However, it also tends to blend material from all eras of the comic's run-up to that point in addition to other sources such as the Ultimate Spider-Man comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, as well as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series.

I just love Norman Osborne’s methods of deception. Quote from the Art Of War:
“When we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.”
When Harry is sent away to get help he needed, Peter believed the Goblin was gone, but in reality, Norman had gotten closer to Peter with the internship.
Always have been a fan of how the pumpkin bombs scream when they detonate
I know we all wanted a season 3 but im just glad that it ended on such a high note
Agreed, at least we had a great final battle
@@DarthEqualizer how about a venom and Morbius spin off show?
@@JYDY-if5rf What are you even talking about?
@@MrQuest0 I’m talking about venom and Morbius getting their own TV series
Yeah, it ended with half the city destroyed, and a lot of people dead!
This fight was badass.
It’s a real shame a season 3 was never made. I would’ve love to see Harry turn into the new goblin and maybe Gwen end up with Peter
This scene proves that Norman Osborn is capable of deception and manipulation even as the Green Goblin. And his "Death" will drive his son Harry into becoming half the man his father had become, But much worst. it'll lead to Harry figuring out Spider-Man's identity as his best friend Peter Parker, whom Harry now sees as an enemy and the only man that Gwen Stacy loves. And it will consume Harry Osborn with Jealousy and hatred, turning him into a Goblin. Like his Father before him.
And I have a feeling Harry would have died fighting Spiderman which would force Norman to return wanting revenge. This would lead to him capturing Gwen and killing her.
@@DarthEqualizer better, Harry would meet his father again after he finds out he faked his death. This will lead to the Osborns setting up a plan to destroy Peter Parker/Spider-Man both mentally and physically.
@@jessemillan1385 and then they end up beating him. But harry would change his mind at the last second when he realizes his father doesn't actually care about him
First Eddie, now Harry. Why must Peter's best friends be turned against him?
@@DarthEqualizerin the original spectacular comics, Harry did die due to overdose on the goblin formula, which the show kinda looked like it was aiming for. I assume it would’ve happened in season 3 or 4 if they ever got to happen
Best version of the Goblin.
I wish the crew reused the same suit & glider from Spider-Man 1 & upgraded them in No Way Home to shoot lasers and Gobwebs.
I keep forgetting just how badass this Spider-Man is. Look at all the stuff he had to take down all by himself

Harry thinking that Green Goblin couldve been his mom is crazy 😂
One thing I’ll always love about this show and this episode in particular is just how genuinely evil and twisted Norman truly is. He never had any sort of “evil split personality” here, the Goblin was always him. He was always completely sober and in complete control. Knowing this and realizing that Goblin and Norman are literally the same person is honestly pretty terrifying when you think about it.
Norman was able to keep an orderly, sensible persona so well for so long that no one, not even Spider-Man truly suspected Goblin was him until the very end. I genuinely believe that Goblin is Norman fully being himself without any societal or moral obligations holding him back. He’s wearing a mask, no one knows who it is under there…so there’s no point in keeping up appearances. Norman was so good at this that not even his own son fully knew who he was. That’s legitimately fucking scary, and it’s what makes Norman in this show my favorite take on the character and one of my favorite villains of all time.
The red flags and hints were always there that showed that Norman was a lot more unhinged/insidious than he let on. Working with criminal organizations, his completely nonchalant attitude towards killing people (like with Sandman and Otto), knowing about and not giving a fuck about his son’s drug addiction until it got in the way of his plans, breaking his OWN CHILD’S LEG and framing him just to cover his own ass. And then he fakes his own death and basically abandons Harry to deal with the trauma of seemingly watching his own father die. Like…damn.
I will forever be salty this show got cancelled. Shit was really getting more serious around the end of the second season, leading up to a lot of really interesting stuff…only for it to be cut for good (for the time being at least). As of now, all we’re left with is a great show that ended too soon, a crazy cliffhanger and a lot of unanswered questions.
I agree with many people that It was a nice change of pace to finally have a goblin Who is the most similar to his comics version where he's one of the most fucked up and cruel people of the Marvel universe.
It stills bugs me off that the symbyonte is portrayed in almost all adaptions as the evil one and Norman is a good lad (more or less).
The best weapon in a strategy is deception.
I knew Green Goblin would be Norman Osborn.
Obviously.
@@jessemillan1385 I knew
I still sorta think Harry was the Goblin in the other season because every time after he drank the Green he disappeared Goblin & showed up.
@@AaronPablos-ll3vk yeah but Harry wouldn’t be as strong as Norman to take on Spider-Man head to head.
@@srikanthramprasad565 that's why I said "sorta".
1:16 Okay Plot twist
It was wild seeing this episode when spectacular was still on Disney+ and realizing this was the end, which made me feel all the pain every fan must've felt
I hated how this Norman Osborn became the goblin with out losing his mind which only makes him a horrible person and father to have created other villains like sandman rhino and ock and to frame your own son to avoid going to jail tbh he deserves a lot worse than to be presumed dead
we have enough “person with other evil goblin personality”. i prefer when a villain can just be evil, and a bad person completely in control and aware of their actions
@@bullymaguire7693 i think they meant on hating the character in specific, not hating how they wrote him my friend
@@gabrielbelmont1496 I used to like that show but not anymore
Spider-Man: You Have No Right To Blew Up Your Glider!
He said “You wouldn't know right if it blew up your glider!”
The thing i hate about this is that Greg Weismann has a strict no spoiler policy so even if the show has practically no chance of being revived due to rights limbo, he'll never reveal how Norman survived.
I mean I get that Norman did a thing to harry was really bad after he drank the green experiment but it sounds like New York not good either.
Although Hobgobin never appeared due to the show’s cancellation, it feels cool they gave his mystery and twist to Green Goblin here with the ongoing mystery and framing scapegoats.
Oh so I didn't notice!
Peters mask gets ripped cause of the glider! I always thought it was the pumpkin bombs that did that
0:31
Anyone else wish Norman stay dead & Peter stayed with Liz?
Willem Defoe will always be the best green goblin but I really enjoyed this goblin to.
That studio was, of course, Disney, who ended up acquiring Marvel. one year after Iron Man released. Because of this, Disney now had the rights to make a Spider Man show, so Sony could no longer continue Spectacular Spider Man.
I love how Harry unmasks Chameleon as if this were an episode of Scooby Doo. 😂
*That* was the reveal I didn't see coming.
0:32 es increíble todo lo que resistio Spidey esa noche literalmente cualquier otro habria muerto, me encanta este duende verde esta loco, es un sadico y tiene un plan para todo, de las mejores peleas y un excelente cierre de temporada

I hope Norman Osborn stays pure evil in future seasons the modern comics screwed up Norman’s character he’s supposed to be the most evilest Spider-Man Villain as well as Carnage.

Why is Norman doing this? All of this? And framing your own son? That's just wrong, Norman Osborn.
Why is no one talking about how vicious his death is? Especially for a kids show
Well he didn't die and this is the only "death" for this show besides uncle ben
Too much formula..
He didn't die from that he survived it
I mean it’s not technically intended for kids, it’s TV-PG. There are disturbing deaths in PG movies, some actually being in G movies (like a Bug’s Life).
