- The Sandman (William Baker, a.k.a Flint Marko) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A shapeshifter endowed through an accident with the ability to turn himself into sand, he began as a villain and later became an ally of Spider-Man. The Sandman has the ability to transform his body. He can will his body to be hardened, compacted, dispersed or shaped, or a combination of those qualities, an Earth manipulation of sand and rock particles. More often than not in combat, this ability enables him to absorb most blows with little to no ill effect other than reforming himself, a relatively fast action. His striped shirt and cargo pants are colored sand to make him appear as if he wears clothes. Even when soaked, he was able to stretch his sand molecules, growing to double his size.

@@daseanharris9280 Actually, the Sandman has fought the Hulk on a handful of occasions, and has even fought the Fantastic Four when serving as a member of the "Frightful Four", but he's most definitely primarily Spider-Man's enemy.

As you can see the sandman versions steadily start declining after Spider-Man 3 creates the perfect sandman you can’t say sandman isn’t good in Spider-Man 3 he is the best villain in the film

I like that version too because in ultimate spider man, flint activity tries to change his ways and succeeded. he became so trustworthy, that he was on a first name basis with his previous enimies and was even invited to participate in sports games. I like that they took that route with sandman. one of the few villians who actually took spider man up on his offer for a second chance.

Spider-Man 3 and Spectacular Spider-Man are my favorite versions of the character
In Spectacular Spider-Man Peter beats Flint Marco differently each time. Flint getting super heated to glass ( all though a fake out) was seen as death/ last resort. In all the Disney media it's the 1st and usually the only way they stop him. It makes his appearances more predictable and boring. Especially in the Disney marvel shows with their cheap animation and lousy writing.

Why would you consider it weird when you knew technology was close to zero back then..... Don't get me wrong... I thought the Spider-Man and The Avengers cartoons I was watching as a kid in the 70s I thought it was the hottest schitt period.....but the Transformers/G.I.Joe and other Hasbro cartoons took it to another level.....but 25+ years later watching the 60s/70s cartoons here on TH-cam I was like dam.. I use to like this?....then I had to think well they didn't have the tools and technology to make their visuals good at that time but it's all about the improvements at the time and better as years to come
That’s probably just because you weren’t around to watch them at the time they came out. People in the 60’s and 70’s probably thought it was the coolest thing ever. I bet people decades from now will be criticizing a lot of the modern day animated tv shows as well. Technology improves as time goes on.

Yeah, because of the movie that James Cameron (Terminator, Titanic, Avatar) was going to make of Spidey that would have feature Electro and Sandman as the villains but drastic versions, Electro was going to be a Donald Trump-esque millionarie and Sandman was going to be his bodyguard, is that those two villains never featured on the 90s cartoons (now a different take on Electro did appeared on a later season of the cartoon).

Id like to keep thinking that the modern "attempt" of "sandman" never existed. Gosh.... It's like every iteration of sandman got worse after Spider-Man 3... A heartfelt character who just wanted the best for his child yet choosing to be a villain because he thought he had basically no other choice.... And they turn the character into a bratty teen. I barely watch that wreck of a Spider-Man show but even if that character had any sort of motive, there would still be no point to watch dumpster fire of a show in the first place because most of the villains they redeemed just either become useless or die in the next episode or something

I don't get how you can watch the video and not realize that.
