    This is super concentrated, with it being this concentrated it can irritate sensitive skin. 1 bar of soap will actually making 5 gallons of laundry soap.....you let it sit for 24 hours, let it jell, then add hot water to it and blend. However, making these concentrated laundry soaps is in fact a great gift, nothing I thought of before, thanks for the tip. I make my own soaps and will being doing this with my castile soaps. Thanks again

    I loved your video/tutorial! :) I make my own laundry soap/creme too. Only variation is that I Don't use the Felsnafta or Zote soap, since I can't seem to find any of those here in Canada. (Totally refuse to pay near $30.00 incl. shipping for 1 bar through Amazon) So, I use my own homemade NO super-fatted tallow and lard soap. (50/50) I can't use my blender with the mason jars either but, after I have filled the mason jars 3/4 full, I use my immersion blender in the mason jars, to whip the laundry soap up to desired consistence. Top off with extra soap until full to an inch from the top.

      Thank you, its cheaper for use to make it at home and we think it works better without irritating our skin. I make huge batches now that will last me all year. Nothing like never having to go to the store for laundry soap. ;)

    If you can find the Zote soap ( I get mine at the dollar store for 59 cents) it smells amazingand I just grind mine up in the processor since it is so soft.

    Do you just add a tablespoon detergent to the washing machine compartment or do you dilute water first before adding?

    • @MomsSimpleLife
      @MomsSimpleLife  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I add the TBSP straight to the clothes for front loading and top loading machines. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for watching!

    Nice video/recipe, how many loads per bottle?

    • @MomsSimpleLife
      @MomsSimpleLife  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The jar I used is a gallon so if I made sure to only use 1tablespoon in each load it will be about 256 loads per jar. But for the small gift jars, it will 64 loads.

    Is this Recipe good for people with skin allergies and eczema

      I make a similar recipe (more liquid with more water) with added Oxyclean, and scented Crystal's (Epsom salt type like Purex), and my 2 daughters love the soap without problems. One daughter has psoriasis and one had eczema.

    Is this good for people with highly sensitive skin I myself cannot even buy gain detergent or anything with any kind of tropical sense if throws my pH off and makes me extremely irritated and my son is also extremely sensitive borax is pretty strong I don't know if he may have a sensitivity to it I used it once and he may have had a reaction to it

    you can just cut up your soap into 8 pieces then let it melt in slow cooker with water.

    Adds soap to untreated water. Water softeners are sitting nearby. Logical? No.
    Does she advise to rinse with vinegar to reduce accumulation of soap scum? Nope!

      You don't want suds in your washer. Foam is just for looks anyway.

    is this soap harsh on natural fabrics?

    • @MomsSimpleLife
      @MomsSimpleLife  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      supurbian I have been using it on our families clothes for 2-3 years now. We have sensitive skin that can't tolerate store bought soaps. Just make sure you use 1 Tbsp and its works great! No this soap is not harsh on natural fabrics. Once you use this soap you will never go back to store bought laundry soaps. The recipe is on my website if you want to print it out for easy reference. Thank you for watching
