Well Lauren, you really outdid yourself on this one! Not only have you managed to convince me to try Melange paint (after hearing you rave about it so many times) but you really surprised me with that base. I didn't expect to like it when you sanded it to the bare wood but the wood butter really brought out the beauty of the wood grain. I love everything about this piece!

This came out so beautiful!! Though I do kind of think it would have been stunning redone without paint and using that awesome walrus oil! But I'm sure your customer was thrilled with the beautiful work and that stunning green color!! I LOVE how the legs look with the contrast of the drawer wood! So lovely!

Me too. But I think I would have just lightly sanded it and just stained it to freshen it up and sealed it. I love the original wood color and it looked pretty good.

Wow, this is right up there with my most fave items. So far the really bright green with gold accents is my all time fave and I am planning on trying my hand at paintinga few older pieces I have in my basement. I’m in Canada so I’m glad to hear there is someone here who is se awesome products :)

Another excellent piece! I originally thought it would have looked better with the paint along the perimeter of drawers, but seeing it all together, painting the interior was the right choice. And, way to go on the layers with editing, Neiman!

Mid-century is not my fave so I aways start out a bit skeptical, but wow this one is just awsome. Love the colors and the minimal wood around it is just stunning. You convince me every time that my vision is limited (LOL). learning from you.
Love the mid Century. Have you ever used stain? Gel stain lays on top of the wood and easy to use. Covers all the imperfections. It turned out nice. Good job!!
You did such a good job on this piece! I think it was a good call to just paint the centers of the drawers and leave the base natural. It has such class. I hope your customer loves it.

I thought so too about the skirts/legs but then I noticed that it tied in with the gold hardware, at least it shows that way on camera.
