I'm a natural wood gal, but you did a fantastic job on this piece. I'm also in agreement with some of the others, lose the lamp, switch it to an antique lamp.
New subscriber, LOVING your content so much. I have been collecting antiques, refinishing furniture, renovating, building homes for > 40 years… you remind me of myself in many ways. Love how this turned out… for me, I would have also painted the rear of it as well (always do this). This way, if someone wants to ‘Float’ the item in a room vs. having it against a wall sofa table / in a booth) it will look finished 360degrees
great learning how you refurbish furniture, staging is fine, the process is well worth the price you sell it for, great job, I am enjoying the process videos.
This is so great as they don’t make furniture like they used to. You are excellent at this . Your work is spectacular. I am going to refinish a few things in my house as well. Very inspiring.
Loved this video. I've been watching furniture makeover videos to help figure out how to refinish two large French provincial lamp tables I inherited from Mom. Not my style at all, but they're family pieces. They're very curvy all over and have the original wood stain finish. I'm nervous about painting them, but it's the only way I can actually like having them in my home. I can't afford all the great equipment you use, but at least I'm getting ideas of how to begin. And I am a complete beginner with this stuff. Gulp... 😬
It came out so beautifully. It's interesting to see your whole process and how complicated and tedious everything is. You really need patience, passion, and an eye for design to pull off something like this. Great work!!
great color for this piece. Looks great. General Finishes is amazing. Sprays great and all their products are great. I use their Arm-R-Seal on wood. Especially hardwoods. It protects so well. I did finish work at a high end table shop. That's what they used. We sanded our table tops 120, then 180 and three coats of arm r seal. We also had a wine bar that we completely built out. That stuff held up against customer abuse and I was sold forever.
YES!! I had the hardest time with that tent! I had to go to TH-cam too. The I realized the instructions are sewn into the bottom of the bag. Beautiful job!
The dresser is beautiful, great job! I had a similar piece that I painted almost the same color back in 1992. Had it for for close to 30 years and never tired of it.
Beautiful. I thought the sheen was spot on. Only thing I am OCD about is cleaning up the dove tail joints. I know they are inside but it matters to me! Great job. Tempted to try Melange paint now.
I really loved the original yellow color, but this green is great. Just wish you'd paint the back as well. I get it, no one sees it, but it would bug me, if it were mine.
Hi Abby! There was a dresser that is very similar to this one when we moved into our house it is boring and needs a little something. Can't wait to see what you do with this!
Love this longer format from you - you’re a natural. This was a great watch all around and obviously a beautiful piece. I hope it sells fast for you! 🎉
17:38 labeling the drawers is such a great tip. 21:59 European gold is a better look for that dresser 24:43 just keep thrifting for staging & your staging area is fine.
I love the end results. You are a wonderful teacher for painting furniture. I totally agree with your reasoning for cleaning, sanding, priming etc. Thank you for your experience in the world of furniture restoration.
Please tell us the color of that paint. It is gorgeous 😍. Excellent job by the way. You are the only flipper that explains how a paint sprayer works, and informative.
Looks gorgeous, great job. Colour and the right gold pulls are perfect. Just a suggestion... i would sand the sides of the drawers to make it look more finished. Not sure if you mentioned that during the video since i sorta skipped through a bunch. In my defense, I'm on break. New subscriber here too. ❤
Love the vibe of your videos :) just a quick note that it is analysis paralysis rather than paralysis analysis. It is when you are paralysed by the amount of analysis you do rather than analysing the paralysis ❤
Very nice results. For staging, look at the color wheel for complementary colors, for that green, a vase with Big red flowers and that old frame would look great.
Nice pieces….. loading and unloading my biggest issue! Getting help is the best yet as you know it’s not easy to find willing people to help move furniture! I have loaded so many pieces (especially curbside freebies on the fly) lol breaks for FREE stuff left on the roadside or alleys duh 😂
Get some different types of fabric yardage to drape over your wall of your staging area. Several yards. You can use over and over again and will help with your wall problem. Although neutral colors behind the furniture gives the buyer more options. You can always ask an interior decorator for some advice on some basic colors and patterns that add a little more charm to the display tor the sale. People’s tastes can run eclectic as you may well know but some basics wouldn’t hurt. Even a couple of large pillows leaning against the item on the floor. Dont know much room you have to store things. Still…fabric doesn’t take up too much room and is easy to drape over the wall and swag it. Your staging area looks very nice. Just some options. Also a lighter colored navy blue (lightened) would look as nice as that green. My advice being an artist.
I'm binging your videos because I'm going to start some flips where I'm at. You do a great job! I'm needing to pit together some staging panels like yours. Suggestions on what to get?
Lake Pontchartrain is in southern Louisiana, close to New Orleans. You and I would never be able to say it like them. 😅 It's practically a whole other English, and im from the south myself.
You are my hero!! You lugged that dresser into your truck by yourself!!❤
Not with ease 😆 but thank you!!
When are you going to start protecting and taking care of yourself?
Paralysis analysis is so real with pieces that have so much potential 😭
I love you LOL sorry I’m so late to respond
I'm so glad to see this I thought it was just me!! 😂😂😂
I'm a natural wood gal, but you did a fantastic job on this piece.
I'm also in agreement with some of the others, lose the lamp, switch it to an antique lamp.
Thank you!! I’ve been loving the natural wood more lately too! Gotta go find a cool new lamp asap
That color on that piece of furniture is perfect. I agree that the hardware is gorgeous. It’s a very beautiful piece of furniture.
Thanks so much!

What a great idea!
Looks wonderful. Keep it simple. That white lamp is fine. After all it's about the dresser. Not the other "stuff" .
Very true! Thank you so much!
I would buy this dresser in a heartbeat!!! Love everything about it. Great work.
great learning how you refurbish furniture, staging is fine, the process is well worth the price you sell it for, great job, I am enjoying the process videos.

love, Love, LOVE how well you explain every step! I learned soooo much. Thank you so very much!
The bones of this piece are amazing- looking forward to making it to the end to see it in a fab color!
Awesome video…European gold is my favourite. Love it applied over black paint. (Something small of course)
I think it’s my new favorite too! It’s not overly saturated so it goes great with so many colors
Very pretty;like it a lot. Also like your voice and video flow and quiet humor. Great job!

I really like the primer color. I'm not a fan of green furniture, but this turned out beautifully.
You did a amazing job
I'm binging your videos because I'm going to start some flips where I'm at. You do a great job! I'm needing to pit together some staging panels like yours. Suggestions on what to get?
You might get some pvc corner molding to fasten to your staging wall
So beautiful!
Beautiful. My sister in law's maiden name is Askew too
Looks lovely
Lake Pontchartrain is in southern Louisiana, close to New Orleans. You and I would never be able to say it like them. 😅 It's practically a whole other English, and im from the south myself.
It’s a very fancy word 🤣
