Impressive work young lady. I feel like i'm in the garage with you. Thank you for solving my French Provincial dilemma. Orlando FL
This is so great to hear! This is exactly what I’m going for with my content 😊 thank you for watching
That color on that piece of furniture is perfect. I agree that the hardware is gorgeous. It’s a very beautiful piece of furniture.
Thanks so much!
Paralysis analysis is so real with pieces that have so much potential 😭
I love you LOL sorry I’m so late to respond
YES!! I had the hardest time with that tent! I had to go to TH-cam too. The I realized the instructions are sewn into the bottom of the bag. Beautiful job!
Love this longer format from you - you’re a natural. This was a great watch all around and obviously a beautiful piece. I hope it sells fast for you! 🎉
This means so much to me 🥹 thank you so much for watching!
You are my hero!! You lugged that dresser into your truck by yourself!!❤
Not with ease 😆 but thank you!!
I LOVE that dresser. What a great find!!!! The hardware is fantastic! I love green so your paint color gets a big thumbs up for me. Beautiful!
Thanks so much!! It is such a well made piece of furniture 😍
New subscriber, LOVING your content so much. I have been collecting antiques, refinishing furniture, renovating, building homes for > 40 years… you remind me of myself in many ways. Love how this turned out… for me, I would have also painted the rear of it as well (always do this). This way, if someone wants to ‘Float’ the item in a room vs. having it against a wall sofa table / in a booth) it will look finished 360degrees
This is so great as they don’t make furniture like they used to. You are excellent at this . Your work is spectacular. I am going to refinish a few things in my house as well. Very inspiring.
I'm a natural wood gal, but you did a fantastic job on this piece.
I'm also in agreement with some of the others, lose the lamp, switch it to an antique lamp.
Thank you!! I’ve been loving the natural wood more lately too! Gotta go find a cool new lamp asap
Looks gorgeous, great job. Colour and the right gold pulls are perfect. Just a suggestion... i would sand the sides of the drawers to make it look more finished. Not sure if you mentioned that during the video since i sorta skipped through a bunch. In my defense, I'm on break. New subscriber here too. ❤
Thank you so much for subscribing!
The final result is impressive, I loved this video and everything is well explained.
Thank you so much!!
great color for this piece. Looks great.
General Finishes is amazing. Sprays great and all their products are great. I use their Arm-R-Seal on wood. Especially hardwoods. It protects so well. I did finish work at a high end table shop. That's what they used. We sanded our table tops 120, then 180 and three coats of arm r seal. We also had a wine bar that we completely built out. That stuff held up against customer abuse and I was sold forever.
I will definitely be using this product again! Especially for natural wood finishes
Loved this video. I've been watching furniture makeover videos to help figure out how to refinish two large French provincial lamp tables I inherited from Mom. Not my style at all, but they're family pieces. They're very curvy all over and have the original wood stain finish. I'm nervous about painting them, but it's the only way I can actually like having them in my home. I can't afford all the great equipment you use, but at least I'm getting ideas of how to begin. And I am a complete beginner with this stuff. Gulp... 😬
This was so fun to watch! I love how you talked everything through! Turned out great too! That color is 🎉
Thank you so much!! It was really an effort to make it a point to remember to talk to the camera 🤣
great learning how you refurbish furniture, staging is fine, the process is well worth the price you sell it for, great job, I am enjoying the process videos.
Thank you so much!
Wow So impressed by your work. This project turned out great.
New subscriber. Love love this dresser. I am following the bedside table adventure ! I love your ideas and choice of colors.
Looks wonderful. Keep it simple. That white lamp is fine. After all it's about the dresser. Not the other "stuff" .
Very true! Thank you so much!
Excellent delivery! Beautiful work! Thank you for all that you shared. I really appreciate always learning more!
Great color both the green and the gold! Really came out nice and updated to fit into a variety of different homes.
Thank you so much!! It’s going to an eclectic home 😊
Just found your video, you are the real deal! Beautiful work!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the color! Gorgeous ❤
Thank you so much!!
I love your videos and your work. you made that dresser GORGEOUS!!! I’ve been painting furniture for resale since 2013. I see a lot of similarities between how we approach things. Especially when you talked about the spray tent! 😂
P.S. I use Melange and General Finishes, also. I LOVE the GF topcoats! I usually mix a bit (up to 10% by the directions, but who knows how much that actually is 😂) into my dark paint when top coating.
You are an artist!
Thank you!!
Very lovely Abby...... Loving that color too!
Thank you! 😊
Awesome video…European gold is my favourite. Love it applied over black paint. (Something small of course)
I think it’s my new favorite too! It’s not overly saturated so it goes great with so many colors
Your green French Provincial dresser looks regal! You don't like to stage so much but I love it!
Oh thank you so much!
Love the green
Thank you!!
Beautiful job. Yes, the lamp needs to be one with more personality and maybe get two different styles for different furniture pieces. 😉. You can also layer several empty frames and set them on top of the dresser.
Your painted furniture looks good. Bravo!
Thank you! 😊
wow!!! you are amazing!!! love your videos. thanks for sharing!!!!!
Very inspirational, you are so natural and your work is beautiful big thumbs up from me ,Ireland.
Thank you so much!
Yes, adorable pulls. Yes, do not destroy pieces by changing original pulls. Thanks
So beautiful!
Please tell us the color of that paint. It is gorgeous 😍. Excellent job by the way. You are the only flipper that explains how a paint sprayer works, and informative.
Thank you so much!! The paint color is Ponchartrain by melange paints. If you decided to order it my discount code is ABBY10 😊
Very impressive makeover Abby
Beautiful! Love the color. New subbie!

I like the color
No go on white lamp. Try a beautiful thrift vase. You did an excellent job.
Great idea!! Looking for something else as we speak!
Well done Abby!! Subscribed...
It turned out so beautiful! 😮
Beautiful job. You really brought it back to life.
Thank you so much!
Looks gorgeous!! Good job!! ❤
Turned out so great! Nice work!
Beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊
I agree with everyone else the lamp just isn’t cutting it. Try a nice vase instead. The dresser is gorgeous I love the color
Thank you!! I a large vase would be perfect 😍
Good Job!
Love that color
Me too 🥰
I love the leaf blower idea!
Looks so pretty
Thank you!!
Great work
Love you work ❤
Thank you so much 😀
General Finish top coats are some of the best on the market. Have a walnut desk I made a while back and the finish is holding up well.
Lovely
❤You did a great job! Beautiful! And thanks so much for explaining each step you are taking. So helpful AND ENCOURAGING!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Looks great
Thanks!
Stunning...👍
Thank you! Cheers!
17:38 labeling the drawers is such a great tip. 21:59 European gold is a better look for that dresser 24:43 just keep thrifting for staging & your staging area is fine.
Thank you so much!! I’m sure I’ll come across a cool new lamp or vase soon 😍
That paint job is magnificent!! Don't love the lamp 😞
Thank you!!! It is time for an update on the lamp lol 😆 but it was freeeee
This is FABULOUS!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Nice work❤
Thank you! 😊
You do great work ❤
Thank you so much!
This would have looked very beautiful in a french grey.
Very nice results. For staging, look at the color wheel for complementary colors, for that green, a vase with Big red flowers and that old frame would look great.
Thank you so much 😊 this is great advice!
Hi new subscriber. Really good work it's beautiful ❤ love the colour
Lake Pontchartrain is in southern Louisiana, close to New Orleans. You and I would never be able to say it like them. 😅 It's practically a whole other English, and im from the south myself.
It’s a very fancy word 🤣
Loved this video! I’m a beginner myself and this was great for me!
Louisiana girl here helping you with all of our unique words:
Ponchartrain is pronounced Ponch-uh-train😊
Thank you!! I have no idea what that word even means 😂
Шикарно! 👍🏻😍🔥
Thank you!!
Why do you think the crackling happened? It turned out perfect!
I would price it higher as it is 9 drawers and the finish looks like it came from the factory. These pieces are very pricey in stores.
I love it
The crackling was already there from the previous finish! I don’t think i had sanded it down enough yet before priming
750 for sure!
Hi, I'm new to your channel, I wanted to let you know you do beautiful work. I love that color.
Thank you so much!
Hi Abby, liked & subscribed 😊
Yay! Thank you!
Hi what do you use to clean inside of the drawers? Thanks for making these awesome videos?
I think European gold accents on the feet and columns would have been nice.
Just in the hollows.
Just lightly brushed.
I think that would be beautiful! A little nervous to try that!
I enjoyed watching this! Thank you! How many coats of paint does melange recommend doing? Do you need a whole quart for this size of project?
I typically do 3 coats to be safe! Especially with dark colors. I use about a pint for a dresser
How do you choose the color, especially something bold like that. How confident are you it will sell?
Came out nice, I know the work that odes into it, painting the edges with a brush, better taking the draws out and taping paper on the inside and spraying them. more even finish. but nice
Thanks for the tip!
It's beautiful! Wise color choice for the hardware. I can't get over that scratch test, though. Was that after 30 days of cure time? Or just after it was dry? 🤯
Right after drying 🤣
Im refinishing small furniture with art work as well but I just cant sell my items, do you have suggestions?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Terminacion impecable!!!!!! Por favor podrias decirme el color de la pintura y si es al agua? Te quedare siempre agradecida, miy agradecida. Contestación por favor
Yes it is water based! It’s Melange paint Ponchartrain
❤❤❤
Hey Abby. Where can I get that small drill, your electric scrubber, the name of the sander, what size/# of sanding grit to prep for painting, name of puddy, what type of primer and name of paint & color please? Thank you so much.
Hi robin! It’s linked in the description :) I used Melange ONE paint in the color Ponchartrain! And their stainblocking primer. My discount code is ABBY10
Can I ask why you don’t tidy up under the product or make the back look good and clean ?
It’s backer board, it goes against the wall and just keeps dust out
Where can I find the little scrubbing brush?
walmrt.us/483lgLK
Love that ! Do u work full time ? Or is this your soul income ?
Sorry..what is a good inexspensize sander for a beginner?
Hi robin! I just posted a long form video explaining all of my tools and what i recommend :)
The end result was great maybe the frame color dint. Match
what about the edges of the draws, you didn't prime them
It’s an all in one paint
I love it, but not the lamp. New sub 😀
You did a great job, but it seems like you would have to live in a pretty high-end location to get $650 for a used dresser. Everywhere we have lived, I would have a hard time getting even $200 for it. That's the thing I never understand about furniture flippers, is how they find people to pay those high prices.
At this point, it’s hardly a “used dresser”
@@flippedbyabby I didn't mean it as a negative thing. I just mean in general, I don't think I could even sell a new dresser for that much. It's just interesting to see how much the market can vary from area to area. You are in the right place for your job!
Thank you! What area are you in? This is a pretty reasonable price for furniture in the US
Did you sell it?
Yes! $600
