Great video.We are looking to flat tow our jeep so this is very helpful. Another thing that I am interested in is your cargo carrier and the hitches that you used to do a dual hitch. I am assuming you also have extenders connected as well. Do you have any vidoes explaining the parts that you used or would you be able to send me the links?

I just bought an RV and am getting it ready to flat tow my Wrangler. Since the Jeep is supported by the tires, do you have to worry about tow bar angle? The hitch receiver is pretty low and the Jeep is lifted. Their wouldn't be any tongue weight either, right?

Depending on your tow bar the manufacturer will tell you the allowable slope. Blue ox is 3 inches from hitch to hookup point. You can always get a hitch riser to flatten the angle. Tongue weight is just the weight of the tow bar.

I just got a jeep to flat tow and the only difference in steps (besides mine being a manual) is that per Jeep, after putting the transfer case into neutral, is that to put the jeep into a gear like second and for an automatic transmission to put into drive. I've also seen the same steps in several forums so curious of why you put yours into Park and what the difference is.

Sorry I missed this. Per my manual it says put into park for automatic to flat tow afterthe engine is off. I know for a manual trans it says in gear.

Hi thanks so much for this info! To recap- after putting the tranny and tcase in neutral, shifting into reverse or drive, to determine it is indeed in neutral, and finally shifting into park (and the car rolls freely) the drive shaft still rotates underneath. It makes me believe it cannot be flat towed still or it will burn up the tranny. Any advice?

The drive shaft will still rotate as it's connected to each axle.
We've flat Towed over 30k miles without an issue.

To ease anyones mind who reads this, the wheels on both axles rotate separate from their respective input shafts so no rotational energy is actually applied to any clutches or transmission internals
