In this video you will see the culmination of the 2021 Global Youth Ambassadors Virtual Leadership Summit. The 50 young ambassadors, who are part of the Summit, have spent Summit week exploring issues that have a profound impact on the quality of life for women across the world. Each year, the Summit culminates with the presentation of a Final Project by Ambassadors. The purpose of this project is to implement the lessons learned throughout the week in the framework on their own cities and to inspire action.
This year’s Final Project entails working in groups to research, assess and rate the Ambassadors’ own home cities on gender equity across one of the Summit’s four themes (Women in Sports and STEM; Climate Change and the Environment; Prioritizing Mental Health and Combating Gender-Based Violence).
In addition to the presentations, you will hear a keynote speech from Nobel Peace Laureate, Jody Williams as well as a statement made by Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot.
