Julio Sosa I agree. I like Bert however him being so focused on solely himself is exhausting to listen to. LeeAnn asks her quests questions. And seems genuinely curious about her guests answers. Bert on the other hand would rather talk about himself and not ask many questions.

This was really cool conversation. Huge props to Leann and Christina for sharing. Been a fan of Tom, Bert and Christina, this episode adds Leann to the list and honestly just a super dope wholesome convo.

First podcast I listened to ok this channel and I'm in love. This is going to be my new favorite thing to listen to in addition to Bert's standup. Kreischers are role models and I love your voice LeeAnn! Keep singing!

Listening to you both makes me feel so seen and supported. You’re like mother figures in my mind as I listen to you that I don’t have. I’m 36 and have 5 kids with my husband of 15 years. I come from a messed up child hood. My mom had no friends, we never had family over and there was no social connections outside of our family and school. I was molested by my older bro and my mom walked in on it one day (I was like 9 or 10 and he was like 15 or 16) and I got in trouble for it instead of him. My mom had a lot of anxiety and depression and it only got worse when my dad left for another family. There’s so much more trauma I went through and it just messed me up so bad. I dove in deep into drugs and sex when I was 15 and dropped out of school when I was 16. I had no one to speak positivity into my life or to guide me. It was just bad. I was homeless and doing crack and just going deep in the drugs and sex stuff. When I was 18 or 19 i had an experience that brought me to rock bottom and I found myself realizing that my pain was running my life and that I had a choice outside of the drugs and living the way I was. I started looking for truth. My whole childhood was full of lies and manipulation and pain, and I thought surely there has to be the opposite of that, there’s got to be truth, and a way of living with peace and taking care of responsibilities instead of running from them. I started reading one of those bibles that just has proverbs and psalms in it and it just hit me. There was a God, there is truth and I was going to run after that instead. I got sober, got a job, started praying and God began answering those prayers in ways i couldn’t ignore or think of as just coincidences. Started dating a guy and his parents took me in and they were Bible reading, church going Christian’s. They brought me in like their own daughter and cared for me. They bought me clothes, fed me dinner every night and gave me chores to do. They taught me so much, the things my parents didn’t teach me. How to take care of myself, how to take care of responsibilities and feel a sense of pride in it. Things didn’t work out with their son but it was such a blessing to live with them a couple of years. I started going to church, found Jesus and just really found how to be a person through that. How to be a creative, loving and caring person, the person I was when I was a child before all the trauma occurred. Fast forward to having my kids and I’m becoming the mom I didn’t have with them. I created a safe place for them to cry and to share their feelings. We have boundaries in place to keep any inappropriate touching from happening. We spend time talking to each other and I embrace their creative side and have tons of arts and crafts and toys all over the place to encourage their play. I catch myself being like my mom sometimes but man, the scripture saying my cup is filled and overflows, it’s true. God filled my cup and from that I am able to love from a place that does not empty out. I am working on boundaries right now and it’s hard to say no to someone and feel like it’s ok to do that. Anyways, thank you for your podcast LeeAnn and thank you both for this chat. I gained some nuggets of wisdom and was encouraged by this. Also, I was adopted and my birth mom has Schizophrenia. So this chat really hit something for me. I don’t find other grown women to listen or talk to who came from trauma like mine and are doing well now. So many end up dead or in prison or on the streets. We are surviving and breaking the trauma cycle, though imperfectly, but just making the effort means some progress is being made and so I think a little progress means we’ve succeeded in this life. The ripples of our efforts will be felt in generations far beyond our period of existence here. 💕

You know everyone is always so fascinated by Bert and LeeAnn’s marriage and how it ticks. But as crazy as Bert is, he’s actually very smart, loyal, and loving. He’s a lot to handle and has some really obnoxious qualities too, but when it comes down to the things that really matter, I think Leanne is tolerant and selfless enough to deal with all the bullshit and see past it to the man he really is. Love these two ladies!

I had no idea you were doing a podcast. I just started watching Bert's. But, honestly I think I loved watching you ladies more! LOL how you were describing growing up poor and living in a world with money is so accurate! I grew up being raised by a single mom who clawed her way to the top of the corporate ladder to keep us alive. She was raised in Canton Ohio, dirt poor, from hard-working parents. My husband's mom is from Okmulgee Oklahoma and she was married eight times, once to have gallbladder surgery. LOL. We now live in Los Angeles and I worked in the entertainment industry on a studio lot for 20 years, it was such a weird adjustment to fit in with people that would pay thousands and thousands of dollars on shoes and bags that they couldn't even afford to keep up with the people next to them. LOL I love this podcast! Thanks for sharing. I definitely subscribed.
