Leeann is the wife everyone hopes for. She holds shit down when you aren’t there to, she supports you when you need it, and she laughs with you everyday
Leanne talking about owning/accepting/allowing "the fart" to be a joke of Bert's is just one reason why she's such an amazing wife! I'm glad Bert appreciate's her for what she is.
I just picked up my wife and daughter from the airport earlier after they went and visited in laws for a week. I just realized, after watching this, all the work I did around the house this past week.... The pool, the house, the cars, I got everything clean and perfect for them when they got home. Even though they were gone a week, I did that to make them happy when they got home.
Bert’s never produced a better something’s burning than this, the conversations, i was wrapped into every moment. I love your connections and energy all together and it makes even more sense why the machine was so fucking good!!!!
This was a great episode. The more I watch Burt do his thing and just talk and be himself, the more I like him and feel that he's such a genuine, loyal, kind, caring loving man to his wife, his family, his friends. His wife and his children are amazing! Great family! Great friends! Wonderful times! That's what it's all about and what we're missing in this world.
I love the mutual respect amongst the three of y'all. All of the co-star episodes have shown such cool relationships, and a very vulnerable side to everyone. Great episode, Bert!!
Leanne and Stephanie! I don't think I have ever seen two people more destined to become friends than these two ladies. They have a vibe like they have been best friends since kindergarten
This was my first Something’s Burning and wow, I was texting a friend the whole time while watching, being like “This is what a healthy relationship looks like. This is what I want. This is beautiful.” And then the Mother’s Day story came up and I was crying because I lost my mom early last year and miss her so damn much. Y’all have a beautiful family and such a beautiful friendship here, too, and ugh. Just. So refreshing, heartening, and rejuvenating for the soul to get to share in it. Thank you for making this and sharing it with us. ❤️
Proud of you Bert, the movie was great! Leanne talking about Georgia’s letter really hit me in my feelers. You guys are great parents, I hope my son grows up to be as thoughtful as Georgia. Good job Big Guy!!
This almost hour flew by. The 3 of you are so lovely and down to earth and hilarious. I've known Stephanie a long time, and she is and has always been one of the most authentic, kind, honest, talented people you could ever meet. And, thus, I could see what truly awesome people Bert and LeeAnn must be. The joy that you all manifest and put out into the world feels limitless and therapeutic, especially in an era as hard and as in need as we are these past few years. Congrats and thank you!
That was very eloquently said, and I completely agree.. if you enjoyed this, I recommend I recent episode of The Wife of the Party Podcast. It’s LeeAnnes podcast and she had Stephanie on and, me myself not knowing Stephanie I really enjoyed getting to know her more! Great episode
As an Omaha native, it pumps me up that you all love Omaha so much. Thanks y’all and I love your shows. Still have yet to see your stand-up in person, Bert, but you’re next on my list!
Why I love Bert so much can be summed up in one sentence from this episode...." You know the worst part....." cuts the tension beautifully. What an amazing family.
That Mother’s Day part brought a tear to my eye. I’ve definitely been taking my mom for granted and that was the kick in the ass I needed to start appreciating her more while she’s still around. Georgia sounds like a real sweetheart
THIS is why folks like you... You and your family are the salt of the earth. We ALL need salt. You are blessed and you're humble. Spend your blessings well in good health and spirit.
As someone who is from the South (Kentucky) LeeAnn is a wonderful representative of our area. She's kind to a fault, amazingly open and inviting, and just unimaginably fun. She reminds me of an aunt or two as well as many wonderful women I've known over the years. She's great and I am so glad that she and Bert have found each other, as it sounds like they keep each other happy and honest. They balance in a weird way that makes no sense on paper but is perfect in practice. I feel like she would be perfect for the host of an "At Home" style sit down and talk show. She invites on a female guest and they talk about life, marriage, children, and everything else. (Though I bet that's not what she would want to do. I still think it would be wildly successful.)
Were lucky to have these podcasts...My day today as like many of my days was boring, filled with work for ten hours, I'm kind a broke, haven't got much going on, yet an hour or so of Bert's podcasts, I feel like I have been social, I've laughed, learnt things sometimes, de stressed, de compressed. I feel we are privileged to know these amazing people by proxy. I know it cannot be easy being so accessible to the public, but I can say from me as one person, it really is the highlight of many of my days, and I am grateful to you Bert, Bert's family, Joe and Joes circle, and the whole podcast community really. Especially during the lockdowns of the pandemic, but now so more than ever you were a shining light, keep up the great work.
I didn’t think I could love Leann and Bert more but I loved that he just let her take the lead on this episode. She just shines and I just appreciate everything about this.
as someone who recently moved away from home and loves chicken piccata this one hit close. love this show and i am so glad it is back (and better than ever i might add).
Thank you so much Bert!! I had a trip to Vegas with someone I liked and it didn’t go well so I was so sad. Yes, I’m a big baby. I knew I could count on you to make me laugh hysterically 😂. I really did, and will be forever grateful. Thank you and everyone who was a part of this. ❤
Stephanie has sounded great everytime she's come up in Machine stories, great to see her on the show and her chemistry with both of you. Hope to see her in bigger roles in more things!
This was the best episode of Somethings Burning! LeeAnn and Stephanie are the best and the conversations provoked heartfelt tears many times. Awesome. So happy for the success of the movie. I loved The Machine and saw it in the theatre opening weekend. Can't wait for Fat Astronauts!!!
God I love seeing LeeAnn and Bert Together. They’re perfect for each other “scissor lips” and she has the sharp knifed tongue of a country mother who can take it as well as she gives it. So awesome to see two people so in touch with each other in every sense. From humor to their authenticity
Great episode!! There is literally noone else in this world that i would like more than bert and leanne to sit down and have a cool hang out session/conversation with!!!
The suckiest part about watching this was knowing ill never get a chance to hang out with you both, absolutely so down to earth awesome people, this had me laughing and crying. Fantastic video 👍🏻
This made me genuinely 😭 I absolutely 💯 love all of you guys! You all are so honest and genuine and I wish from Arkansas I could meet you guys!!! But like I say from Arkansas Noone wants to come here so we just wish lmao but,, SOMETHINS BURNIN has been my That's It! For me!! And I just 2ant to thank you all for doing what you do!!!
Wow Bert it is crazy how much you love your wife. Every body you get on your podcast it feels like you listen to them but kind of half way listen. When your wife talk. It feels like your drinking her words!!!
Love this episode... reminded me how much I miss my kiddo that lives with their Mom in Fort Wayne, IN (Bert wearing the Tincaps hat)... Family Stories.
Aaaayyyyy FORT WAYNE TIN CAPS!!!! Thanks for showing my city some love! Bummed I missed out on getting tickets to your show on the 23rd at Parkview Field... We've been watching you for years and love your work!
Bro, my wife and I (for the first time in like 5 years) went for a 9 hour round-trip drive before my birthday and she told me to "put something funny on." So I put on "The Machine" special and she was laughing her ass off the whole time. ESPECIALLY the part about a wind gust over 3rd base... That's one of the reasons why Bert's comedy is so relatable. Well done man. Actually... How about "rare" instead?
Leeann is the wife everyone hopes for. She holds shit down when you aren’t there to, she supports you when you need it, and she laughs with you everyday
She tolerates how insufferable you are
She's an all around lovely person and they seem so in love
You hope your wife ages a little better. And maybe not quite as loud. But yeah, sure.
@@joshpointoh Bert does always call her old 😂

Bert hit a homerun with his family. Beautiful, introspective, caring family
That’s why he’s wearing the Fort Wayne baseball cap
I love that Leanne is Bert's Flavor Flave.
Introspective? Y'know he insists he's not an alcoholic.

Leanne’s relationship with the girls is so special, I hope to have that with my daughter
LeeAnn reading Georgia's letter brought me to tears. Lost my Mom in 2016, think about her always. Every day is Mothers Day
I love both Bert's wives. Stephanie and LeeAnn def need to do more together.
Like Bart.
This was more of a wife of the party podcast than a something’s burning. But I’m here for it! Stephanie and Leeann have a great friendship.

Despite Bert’s almost comical narcissism, you can’t help but root for him…he genuinely appears to be a good dude.

Leeann is the best. Bert won the wife lottery
