WHERE MY MOMS AT!? It's the show by the Moms for the Moms. Hosted by everybody's favorite "cool mom" Christina P! Not only the most REAL show for moms, but the most interactive. An open place to admit no one really knows what they're doing.
LeeAnn Kreischer is the host of the Wife of the Party podcast, and is married to Bert Kreischer. She joins Christina P for this episode of Where My Moms At? They discuss Christina's new plant-based diet, the passing of LeeAnn's dog, Tom Segura's vasectomy, and transcendental meditation. They respond to listener-submitted Pazsitzky Effects regarding peeling open boxes, changing channels, mismatched socks, pasta sauce, cereal, and more! They listen to viewer voicemails about the longest someone's gone without a shower and parents opening a credit card in their kid's name. They also take a look at the listener submissions for "Thing You Thought You'd Never Say." They wrap up the episode with a conversation about the mind, body, spirit connection.
Christina P. wants to hear from you since she is seriously lacking in cool mom friends. If you want to share a "Mom Fail" or "Mom Hack" please call into our voicemail (213)375-5184 and let Christina know! We want to talk to as many moms across America as we can.

LeeAnn and Christina make the perfect duo, wish this was a semi-permanent thing. (Like how Mommy Tina and Dr Drew primarily host Dr Drew After Dark, but sometimes Tina swaps out for Tommy, or like last week it was Josh Potter.) Love the podcast! Keep it high and tight!

i truly needed to hear the last 30ish minutes of this podcast. Hearing LeeAnn talk about seeing her mother for the first time in a while and having a physical reaction, the same happened to me seeing my neglectful mother after years of no contact, if i even talk about her my body shuts down. I thought i was crazy, but healing truly is a physical act as much as it is mental. Thankyou for this one ladies

My dad use to slap us all the time growing up. He also would turn his ring around and spank us till it hurt to sit down. This was during the 90’s so a different time. It made me so terrified of him. I’m 36 and live in a different state and he still scared me up to a year ago when I wrote him a letter about how I felt about everything. We now talk 3-4 times a year and he is asking for more but I’m not willing yet. Anyways these things do last into your adulthood.

@Kristie C I think the truth is somewhere between you and Von. Respect does not have to be earned through intimidating and integrity is not necessarily the antithesis to gentleness, but as a parent you have to stand your ground, even when the jedi mind tricks you read in the latest parenting book just don't do the trick. On the other side of the coin, you have to model a healthy amount of humility and know when to concede ground. It is becoming apparent in today's hypersensitive culture that a strict/harsh parent, while not ideal, creates a stronger (more resilient) human than a weak one.

@Kristie C I think a lot of people reading what you wrote would agree that you were abused as a child. As a soldier who also has been to war, I doubt your father was thinking of discipline when he dealt with you. To yank a child off the floor because they spilled water is completely uncalled for. You probably turned into "Charlie" in his mind and the abuse was more of an outlet for his PTSD than him trying to properly discipline you. You can't raise future adults if you teach them uncontrolled violence and revenge is how you deal with problems. However, you're free to use cognitive dissonance to explain away your child abuse in any way you see fit.
To hit a child makes you a weak ass parent.

It's like, hmmm, how do I explain this, if I can't do it the way I want to do it (maskless and socializing with friends) then I'm going to not do it at all. It's backwards thinking because I'm just hurting myself, but it's that hardheaded "I'll do this my way or no way" thinking. I feel you Ila!

I really appreciate you guys talking about trauma and the impacts it’s had on you. I’ve been struggling recently after having to make the decision earlier in the year that my little brother (16) and I (18) would no longer have contact with our abusive father. It really ruined my final years of high school and I was doing better, but I started feeling a lot worse in the past couple weeks. I couldn’t figure out why, I realised it’s my Dad’s birthday this week. As you can imagine it’s resurfaced some stuff. You’re openness has also given me some perspective about my mum that I really appreciate. My mum’s 41 and she had a traumatic childhood as well and a traumatic marriage (divorce finalised next month, separated for a year and a half, really fresh), she moved straight out of her parents house and in with my cunt dad, so this really is a huge chunk of her life. My mum’s great and we have a pretty good relationship, but sometimes I find it really difficult to cope with some of the things she does and there seems to be a lot of miscommunication sometimes. As I get older I’m realising a lot of this is her own trauma, we cope with this differently so I’ve struggled to understand it and reconcile it a lot of the time, but you’re right, a lot of these reactions are physical and the body does hold on to this stuff for a long time. It obviously doesn’t fix any of the issues, but I can be more understanding of what she’s going through.

I definitely need to call or email you all for some advise about whether the mistakes my husband has made are things I should forgive and continue the relationship. I love you two so much! Definitely needed this podcast....postpartum 8 weeks out with my second child.

Bahaha when I was a kid and my mom was being thrifty we would eat at a restaurants bar to have the 1/2 off appetizers. Water only. Lol those were the days 🥰

I raised a highly intellegen, inquisitive and curious boy in the late 80's. Just as the internet was getting going. We went to the library several times a week and watched PBS and had Reader's Digest and National Geographic subscriptions.
Every question just brought on a new, deeper questions.
He created a pictogram of how islands were formed when he was just 5 years old and blew many old school minds.
I appreciate those times. We spent a lot of time learning together.
Fast forward, he is now 33 and WAAAAAY beyond my knowledge or experience. And I do love that he learned it all, deliberately through books. Only recently "getting online".
PS. Gonna finally be a Grandma come December.
Can't wait to see how this experience plays out ...
PS. When I make my Mom, literally anything (food wise) her mind is blown. I can literally melt cheese on a hot dog, with a nice bun and she thinks I am gourmet.
(Growing up every veg came in a can) Hot dogs got Ketchup and Mustard and Spahgetti was any form of pasta with any ole Tomato sauce poured in when it was done.
Fyi. We are multi generational English/Scottish/ Irish Canadians. Imagine throwing some sour cream and bacon on a baked potato and your mind being blown.
    Yeah.
    Love it ...

My mom use to send my brother and I to the store when we were in preschool and kindergarten. And we’d walk back with grocery bags and goodies we got. We loved it, but I think about it now and wonder what the clerks thought about it haha. But it was like a 15-20 minute walk, not across the street or anything
