Probably the best nation in Italy and #1 OPM. Only downside is the barebones mission tree
Luckily you can form sardinia piedmont and italy for their tree's which have like permanent -5% agressive expansion 10% manpower and 5% adm efficiency like in the video
@@BiggieChugs You can also form France if you wish, or go into Prussia then Germany Or even Spain, you can also later become the HRE or Roman empire.
@@noxfelis5333are you a bot lmao? yeah you could also form Qing, Australia, USA etc
@@GlizzyGoblin757 Yes infact I am, my mom was a mombot and my dad was a dadbot and I grew up in a botfamily doing bot things. Being born a bot isn't easy, there is so much racism towards us bots online, please respect us bots, we are people too.
@@noxfelis5333 dead internet theory
Awesome to see you play my favorite italian nation, i've had so many nice games with them. Stack that ae-reduction!
Theoretically, you can get -105% permanent AE impact.
-15% from the ideas.
-20% from curia controller.
-20% from espionage ideas.
-10% from the careful trait.
-10% from having 100 prestige.
-10% from influence/innovative policy.
-10% from defensive/court policy.
-10% from justified wars policy.
i wouldn’t count a ruler trait as permanent
@@GlizzyGoblin757 I mean, you can cheeze it if you have a ruler with high diplo skill, wich should be more common if you have court ideas.
Even then 95% is still a really good modifier, and you can make it 100% if you complete the sardinia piedmont missions.
Wasn't expecting an OPM to be this powerful, great video :D
Saluzzo puts the 'OP' in 'OPM'.
That was a really nice Italy game, good job!
Good video definitely my second most favorite Italian nation after Venice
Saluzzo has some realy insane national ideas, playing saluzzo into sardina-piedmont into either France, Italy, Prussia into Germany or what ever fits your taste is a great idea for a run.
You’re the type of player I wish everyone was. Let players play how they want, instead of the players who think X country should only form X country
@@DrBees-ms2vt Thank you! I don't realy see why some people feel the need to tell others how to play their run, it is not like they are ruining your own run by playing differently.
@@DrBees-ms2vtNo, fuck you, if you play saluzzo you’re clearly meant to form Japan, I won’t accept any other nation
Saluzzo --> SP --> Austria --> Prussia --> Italy / Germany
I started as Saluzzo, formed SPI and... god damn Saluzzo's ideas are waay better, I'll stick with them even after I form Italy
Lmfao the savescum when the Ottomans joined cracked me up!
I just did a saluzzo to roman empire game like 3 days ago this is perfect lol
this is the only way eu4 is meant to be played. excellent video bonobo
Great video, I didn't realize how much ae stacking you could do. By the way, one of the things you do when speaking about the nations and rulers in the game really sticks out to me. You say things like "The Pope is 76, I don't know how it isn't dead yet." The "it" there sounds really bad to me as a native English speaker. I would use "he". The other thing is when you talk about nations, you say stuff like, "Why does Austria want to break its alliance with me?" but here, the "it" sounds really bad again. I would say "they", but some people say "he". Other than that, your English is perfect. Thanks for the great video!
I was actually referring to nations with he/she in the earlier vids :-). But it's grammatically correct to use it with any countries. Except Pope, I just mixed up Pope the person, and Pope the nation lol
Every nation is OP when Bonobo is playing it.
That’s it why he is called OPm
Probably the second best opm in the game
Okay, so very nice guide, but just one question. How many times did you have to restart? Because I've done that around 14 times now, and I'm still not in a position to attack savoy;(
Believe it or not, only once. You just need Savoy to rival the Pope, then most likely it's going to get excommunicated. Burgundy + Switzerland should be enough to deal with most potential alliances of Savoy
Yeah, that was never the problem. The problem was always Aragon or Castile allying them.
In my current run, they didn't get excommunicated because they bought indulgence, but I attacked them anyway even though they got aragon on their side. Full anexed them, but the AE was much higher since pope didn't excommunicate. The coalition just fired for some reason. Just gonna save scum until it doesnt. So yeah slower start, but still pulled the hardest part off.
Anyway nice guide man, didn't know this nation was so great
Burgundy should be able to handle Aragon, Castille + Aragon on the other hand.... Excommunicating is interesting. I thought indulgence doesn't work in Savoy's case (they get excommunicated by event), but it seems luck is required.
Would you recommend restarting then?
Edit: Well seems I might have to. Coalition keeps attacking and allies wont help despite good relations and stronger militaries :)
Gotta love the AI
save scumming is probably the most fun yet annoying thing ever.
the thing is this is mp playable becouse u have 1k dev and enought money imcome for player fights 1500. i like it :D
I think ottomans join the war because it was two great powers vs one (you and austria vs aragon) so they can join the weaker side aragon. it wasn't "unfair" 😅
Hm, actually might be true. Still unfair tho, Ottomans are always finding ways to screw the player
I have a 1444 save with this nation where i got a careful trait ruler.
Ps. I never get Burgundy when i play a small nation in Italy.
It's possible if it doesn't ally anyone with big amount of provinces, or if you become the Emperor
7:38 "b--but the AI totally doesn't target the player I swear"
Well, akshually, it doesn't target the player specifically. However it does target the most aggressive and biggest nations, which is usually the player.
Austria wont ask for unlawful territory if relations are above 100
I think they upped the limit, not sure though.
So you didn't take the overpowered mission that gives 5% admin efficiency?
Just wanted to wrap up the vid, I have a save before forming Italy
Austria lost Emperorship to Hesse in my game LMFAO
It's always either Hesse or Palatinate for some reason
Of course this only works with DLC. Fml
я хотел посмотреть, но меня сломал акцент
вполне норм
