In the end and in the beginning, only salvation from sin through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is the only thing that matters otherwise God would have destroyed everything when Adam sinned, but God is merciful giving his creation a second chance to repent and to come to the cross of salvation.
@@stur.7502Excuse me but, you are Looney Tunes. Salvation comes from within and the will to survive. Isn't it ironic that in the land where Jesus Christ was born, innocent people are being slaughtered over a piece of land. You're the one who needs to be saved.
She used to sing in the coffee shop below my apartment complex on Turquoise st in San Diego( N. Pacific Beach). I’d be walking home and hear here singing with a little crowd in there. ❤
My wife and I were walking one night in Ocean Beach back in the late 90s and saw a big crowd in a parking lot. It was Jewels farwell performance before making it to the big time.
Show business is exactly that…a “show. The artists are most often a character they or someone has created and that character is not who they really are. Audiences desperately crave that perfect character and willingly suspend their disbelief so they can immerse themselves in the fantasy along with the artist. Jewel and a select few other artists have presented themselves in a real fashion, or at least as real as they can and still keep their private lives for themselves. I admire the love and respect she has for her father, after all he must have gone through. Good for her for growing and healing from that and finding herself. Many many people never do.
Remembering the first time hearing Jewel on the radio singing, no idea who she was, what she looked like, I was clueless! But that voice, some kind of authenicity behind or in the sound, I just suddenly loved this unknown artist. Over all these years since, she has more than filled any thought of "beautiful human being" I have ever had. A long full happy life to you Jewel, you have given me so much to live and survive with thank you thank you thank you.
One of the most beautiful woman with the most beautiful soul. So happy she was strong enough to pull herself up. God bless her and any young lady the uses her as a mentor!
I didn't know much about Jewel but she is both brilliant and beautiful. Her energy is warm and engaging, honest and real. What a lovely combo of a personality!
She is so awesome. It's not an easy thing to open up about vulnerabilities but the truth is abosutely the best place to be even though it may not appear to be at times. In fact, you sometimes become the messenger that some want to kill.
Having spent my age 13 to 18 years on the street as the result of an ugly divorce ... being stripped of everything but my physical, mental and emotional tools was the most liberating thing that ever happened to me. From those depths I found my conscience and then my character. The moment character and conscience became my reason for surviving, I found myself. Thank you Jewel. You were angelic in Ghosts of Christmas Eve ... and are even more awesome in person. Thank you for sharing 🙂
A lot of people don’t know her story about when she got signed and the stuff she did to protect herself. This was a homeless girl, playing at a coffee house, who’s song made it on our radio station in LA because the DJ there heard it and played it and it became a top request at the radio station, over the commercial stuff the record companies were putting out. She became the hottest commodity in LA and every record company wanted her. She went to the library before even thinking about signing with any of these people and read a book about the record industry, in her words, recording industry for dummies. Which explained exactly how the business worked and how much they screwed Artists like her out of not only money, but royalties and the rights to their music. Armed with this newly learned information, she formulated a record deal that included her rights and a higher percentage of the earnings on the front and back end. Remember, she was homeless at the time when she did this. Didn’t have a penny to her name. Yet she had the forethought to protect herself. set up a deal that very few Musicians ever get and is in the position she is today because of it. The record companies could have turned their back and walked away. But because of her success without them, she became the hottest commodity in LA. The story is absolutely amazing and the fact that she had the balls to essentially cut her own deal the way she wanted it in the face of losing millions of dollars, is just mind blowing. God bless this girl.
I met a woman who owned a Bathing suit shop on the beach in San Diego and she told me about Jewel playing her guitar for money on the Board walk outside her store and she had every Jewel CD at the time and that she had a condo in Cottonwood ,Arizona where I met her back in 2006.
She's awesome. For those that haven't seen her Funny or Die skit when she went to a karaoke bar in disguise, and sang her own songs, Check it out. Its good.
I remember when Jewel was homeless, living in her van, here in Ocean Beach, near San Diego. Her rise to fame, wasn't a surprise to any of us. Couldn't of happened to a sweeter girl!❤️👍💋
I started watching the video thinking what an amazing looking 50 year old Jewel turned out to be. I finished the video thinking what an amazing person Jewel apparently has always been! I didn't know....Please go meet Keanu Reeves and have an amazing life together.
i saw videos of her doing kareoke and busking with other buskers after she had those hit songs and i thought this was some desperate attempt to stay relevant when in fact she didn't want there to be a gap between her and regular folks. amazing lady.
Still beautiful. I don't know if she's had any (very subtle) work done, but essentially it's still the same iconic mug we're used to - i.e., the hook nose, and the signature snaggle teeth. Thankfully, she's had the good judgement not to join many of her peers and ruin her face out of misguided vanity. Plus, what she's got isn't buried under tons of makeup. One of the funniest YT videos is when she did the bit in disguise at the karaoke bar. Check it out if you haven't already.
At the end of those parties and buying friends & family members gifts. They won’t do the same thing for you. So you might as well think of yourself. Take care of yourself.
Holy Freaking Smokes!! Soooo,,, not just a pretty face and voice! Amazing wisdom from a early age! Every choice at the time, for the time seem to be the choice! Jewel 💎 is a diamond. Just don't ask the lady How many carrots she weighs! ☯️☮️
Hello! A lot of people wanna be your friends when you have a lot of money, but how many of them would still want to be your friends when you are financially poor? I know what it's like. And a lot of women are attracted to money / men who have "a lot" of money. If you're a financially poor guy, they'll very probably reject you (even if it's unfair and disgusting). It proves that many people are ugly inside. And sometimes, they're ugly inside and outside 😄 Thank you for this video!
Didn't she say she lived in an abusive home when growing up? And then you see her on a show yodeling with her dad and other family stuff! I'm confused.
What’s confusing? She said that when her mother left her dad started drinking & reverted back to the way he was raised. Did you see the old photo of her grandparents & her father? They were all in one photo, he wasn’t being abused at that very moment, like she wasn’t being abused at the moment she was yodeling. I’m glad someone was able to live a sheltered existence.
I have always wanted to be her husband I don't know how old she is now but she reminds me of myself so much I just didn't get a break. And in my 50's I can still sing but my nerve damage disability from a flu shot that caused GBS syndrome. But I lost my teeth and I have a passion for singing so much I taught myself to sing and I didn't notice people listening to me and they were amazed that I never got a break because I sang the truth about my life and life in general and it is hard to write a good song when you feel insecure because I don't have teeth and my nerve damage has made it very hard to play guitar and bass guitar and drums I can play but it is limited. But I am leaving it all in God's hands because I can't do it alone and I do know if I'm blessed I'm not going to have any contracts but if he blesses me I will have implants and be able to play guitar and bass guitar and drums better then before
