I can answer that! Jona died in the fish and was raised to life in the fish and after that he prayed. That exactly what Jona is praying in the bible. He speaks about being in the scheol, thats the land of the dead. Jesus also died, was dead in the grave, came alive in the grave out of scheol. And like the stone had to role away from the grave so that he came out as the risen one - the fish had to spit out Jona alive, because he came alive in the fish and the fish could not hold him, because God comanded the fish to spit him out. I misquoted the scripture, thinking about the LORD what He said to the Gentile woman whose daugher was possessed by devils, that is why I used the word dogs. The Lord was before the foundations of the world, all things were made by Him and for Him. When He came it was to redeem Israel and to the fulfil the Prophecies. He stepped out of the Godhead taking on the flesh, to redeem us from the curse. Athough His Spirit being God nevertheless, He was obedient to the purpose. Very complex, yet what would you expect from God, to deny His will, deny His Word given to the Prophets. He came as Messiah, but the mystery is He came for us all.

Pharisees were always trying to disprove Jesus’s miracles and were constantly mocking him. Jesus knew they disbelieved in him (as the Messiah), so he decided not to show them an instant miracle (through the finger of God) because he knew they would continue to mock him and try and disprove the miracle. So Jesus tells them that he will show them the same miracle of Jonas: Jonas remained in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights, so will Jesus remain in the belly of the earth for three days and three nights. When Jonas was swallowed into the belly of the whale, was Jonas still alive after three days and three nights? The answer is yes. The miracle was that he hid from all his enemies for three days and three nights in the belly of the whale and remained alive. Jesus did the same, he hid in the belly of the earth (tomb) for three days and three nights as he said. Jonas did not die and resurrect, neither did Jesus.

It sounds like Mr. Deedat wanted to know directly from Jesus Christ (peace comes from Him) whether He would be crucified, die, and rise. We are blessed to have these very words: “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and scourge and crucify Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.” Matthew 20:18-19 It doesn't get any clearer than that.
If you have read Luke 16:19-31 hells (Hades) or Sheol has two parts; (1) SAINTS. (2)DAMNED Acts 2:27 says Jesus went to Hell (Hades), wrong, he went to Sheol. Don't look for logic. Because the Lord said I use the foolish things to confound the wise. When you think in the flesh, you come short of knowledge of the Spirit. You cannot mix the two. I can answer that! Jona died in the fish and was raised to life in the fish and after that he prayed. That exactly what Jona is praying in the bible. He speaks about being in the scheol, thats the land of the dead. Jesus also died, was dead in the grave, came alive in the grave out of scheol. And like the stone had to role away from the grave so that he came out as the risen one - the fish had to spit out Jona alive, because he came alive in the fish and the fish could not hold him, because God comanded the fish to spit him out.

I misquoted the scripture, thinking about the LORD what He said to the Gentile woman whose daugher was possessed by devils, that is why I used the word dogs. The sign of Jonah is death and subsequent resurrection after 3 days. The Jonah text is clear that he died in that fish from seaweed wrapped around his head, descending to the pit of hell. In 2:7, as he is succumbing, "when my soul fainteth within me, I remembered the Lord."
Fish was commanded to release him, casting him forth from death and Sheol into the light and dry land. Alive again to deliver the message "...yet 40 days and Nineva will be overthrown." Thankfully, they repented and were rewarded with Father's salvation.

The Lord was before the foundations of the world, all things were made by Him and for Him. When He came it was to redeem Israel and to the fulfil the Prophecies. He stepped out of the Godhead taking on the flesh, to redeem us from the curse. Athough His Spirit being God nevertheless, He was obedient to the purpose. Very complex, yet what would you expect from God, to deny His will, deny His Word given to the Prophets. He came as Messiah, but the mystery is He came for us all.

Pharisees were always trying to disprove Jesus’s miracles and were constantly mocking him. Jesus knew they disbelieved in him (as the Messiah), so he decided not to show them an instant miracle (through the finger of God) because he knew they would continue to mock him and try and disprove the miracle.
So Jesus tells them that he will show them the same miracle of Jonas: Jonas remained in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights, so will Jesus remain in the belly of the earth for three days and three nights.
When Jonas was swallowed into the belly of the whale, was Jonas still alive after three days and three nights? The answer is yes. The miracle was that he hid from all his enemies for three days and three nights in the belly of the whale and remained alive.

Jonas did not die and resurrect, neither did Jesus.

It sounds like Mr. Deedat wanted to know directly from Jesus Christ (peace comes from Him) whether He would be crucified, die, and rise. We are blessed to have these very words:
“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and scourge and crucify Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.” Matthew 20:18-19
It doesn't get any clearer than that.
If you have read Luke 16:19-31 hells (Hades) or Sheol has two parts; (1) SAINTS. (2)DAMNED Acts 2:27 says Jesus went to Hell (Hades), wrong, he went to Sheol. It seems to me the translators just said hell to everything, but according to Luke 16:19-31 suffering on one side and a gulf between Abrahams bosom .

There is nothing wrong with Paul's writings.Paul was called out to bring forth the Gospel of the New Covenant as spoken by our Lord at the Last Supper. Paul spent 3 yrs, on Mt. The Kingdom Gospel was preached to the Jew and if they had all believed in their Messiah, the Kingdom of God would have been given them. The sign of Jonah was the building of his church WITHIN 3days or 3000 years. The TRUE church will rise on the 3rd day. Mark tells us the proper translation. He wasn't speaking about his physical body. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom. Psalms 16 says his holy one would not see corruption. The body starts corrupting the moment the heart stops. Yeshua raised from the dead the instant he died as the Bible proves. He APPEARED to the deciples 3 days and 3 nights after he rose he was indeed ALIVE the whole time. Don't look for logic. Because the Lord said I use the foolish things to confound the wise. When you think in the flesh, you come short of knowledge of the Spirit. You cannot mix the two. This world is run by a different system, and God allows knowledge to increase, but also He says He will hold you accountable in the end for you should have understood Him by His creation. He is the Creator. His Word was made Flesh. God is everywhere, a multidimensional Spirit. More than we can understand.

Compare this obscure way one has to interperet this passage (leaving out half of the words that don't fit the argument) to believe Jesus did not die up against the passage I just gave. Read the Bible as a whole and see what it says.

Yes the Lord did prophecy, for He knows the End from the Beginning.He is the Alpha and the Omega, and if you search the O.T. scriptures The One who Speaks this is God. There are mysteries withheld as God is Sovereign, and He did reveal them to us. It was prophecied that He would die on the Cross, He spoke it, He revealed this to the Disciples, but they understood not, til it happened
I thought this was wonky from the first second when he said 'the only prophecy of jesus about what was to come' - the only? Far from it. Then this nonsense about translation, then the crazy nonsense of denying the meaning of the sign given in the very same text he quoted. Crazy how he shouted the guy down who was answering, especially as this guy was factually correct and clearly more learned, quoting the Greek and such. The speaker seemed to know the question could be answered but is so blinkered he's willingly surpressing it.

The jews say Sabbath starts on friday evening and ends on saturday evening,u are right 3 days and 3 nites dont work, but if passover was on wednesday the feast day sabbath works. Leviticus chapter 23 talks about the differnt sabbaths, verse 5-9 the passover on the 14th next day is a sabbath on the first day that is the 15th you shall not do customery work like the new testament states it is a high sabbath.(Holy convocation) Jesus our passover. Two sabbaths in one week.
