      Can you tell me how this fixed your blender? I feel like I have the same "problem" but don't exactly understand how removing the screw and putting a new one in solves it?

    I have a shortcut.... instead of fighting with the bottom screw.. just stick a screwdriver or something solid in between the blades at the bottom, this prevents the entire thing from moving, makes it a WHOLE lot easier than to try to grab the bottom screw and unscrew the top at the same time... you're welcome!

    Cool but what problem are we trying to solve? I'm looking for assistance on why the blades do not spin. The device turns on and ran it with an empty cup. It started hesitantly going very slow. I then put water inside, and the blade does not turn. Seems water is causing too much resistance. How can I fix this?

    • @rcillc7700
      @rcillc7700  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alejandra, I have two vids that show a possible problem for you....the small plastic part that connects the blade to the motor will actually break. Sounds like your plastic part is loose or shredded a big.....try taking it off and looks at it......hope this helps.

    Heya, I placed an order for your replacement drive, and on your website I noticed you replied to a comment saying that a #6 x 1/2" from a hardware store would be better. My screw is completely stripped so I need to get a new one. Do you now recommend a #6 x 1/2" or the #8 x 3/4"?

    • @rcillc7700
      @rcillc7700  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ashley, they both work fine....as long as you get one that has a narrow screw head so that it can sit flush to the replacement part....so I mean these screws flare out as it goes up to the top....that flare out you want to be as narrow as possible

    • @rcillc7700

    What are the black and gray circles called? The piece you said to chisel to expose the screw is broken but the screw appears fine. What would I look up to find those?

    • @rcillc7700
      @rcillc7700  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ Gloria does the small gear that spins the blade move around easily? If so then that piece is broken. If not then you might have a motor problem.

    • @gloriahernandez7107
      @gloriahernandez7107 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      RCI LLC it doesn’t move easy is normal..the motor start light goes green, then blue but doesn’t even smash a banana what can possible be

      From most hardware stores the best I found are #6 x 1/2in Self-Tapping Wood screws. Hopefully this helps. The other key is to match the screw head size......and both the right and left threaded screws can work.

    • @rcillc7700

      K C you can slide the cover off but it does get dirty inside the cover. After taking off the drive socket you can clean under there. The big rubber bumper where the cup sits on can come up just by pulling on it and you can clean under there too.
