That Wi Phone is available from the official website - it's potentially a very useful device for electronics enthusiasts but could be misused, like so many things. Also Amazon continues to facilitate the selling of highly dangerous or otherwise utter crap products and often items that can be found much cheaper elsewhere. It's really important to shop around - especially for high-priced electronics.

It’ll be handy in those cities that allows photo enhanced tickets if you go a mile above the speed limit. The crazy part is if you let someone borrow your car & they get caught speeding the one who owns the car is held responsible to pay it.
Yea hiding your license plate so the plate it shows doesn't match your car when they run it which then they think you stole the car! Real smart.
Good for doing drive bys and want to have a legit tag and a legit looking tag when you do something.
I heard if you spray your plate with hair spray a flash camera at night will just reflect the light back and can't read your plate

I remember those as a toddler I always wondered why they banned them my parents would not buy them or let us around anyone playing them but my memory is me my father and sisters were going to get in the car to pick my mother up from work it was 1980 I was only one years old and it was summer and the teenagers were on the grassy hill playing with them as we walked pass just a baby but my memory is so strange I remember things that far back.

Most of the tech items are easily made at home with a bit of skill and patience. As stated before, it's not having the item, but some ways in which you can use it. Skimmers for example are excellent for "duplicating" cards you own -- making copies of someone else's credit card is obviously illegal. Having a Hack 5 Pineapple isn't illegal, but there are some functions which could be illegal in some countries. Having a Wi-Fi router is not illegal in the US, but using channel 12-14 in other than low-power mode is most likely illegal in your state -- however in other countries could be perfectly legal.
As my lawyer always says about legal or illegal questions that come up. It depends, maybe.

That laser isn't for hunting don't be foolish. Regular laser pointers are strong enough to reach the moon. You just won't see it because it's not going to make the trip back. Laser pointers can visibly hit your target and show you. These lasers are so powerful without correct eye protection the reflecting light will destroy your eyes, also they are illegal. They can and will cut through just about anything. A literal lightsaber. They are basically like the industrial lasers used to cut material. I would added laser surgery but those aren't as powerful or perhaps set to a lower strength so not to kill or harm the patient. These lasers are dangerous to everyone, especially the person holding it. Finding these for sale should be reported to someone. And if they are cheap ones from over seas. Be aware that exploding during use could very well be possible.
Emergency lights are not banned. That’s why you can buy them. Love how they show a magnet to hide the plate, but half the episode is of the electronic plate that is legal.
Man I've dreamed of crazy ways to hide your license plate with the click of a button. Probably stuck in my mind from some James Bond movie I saw as a kid or something. But I just can't get over how cool that idea is. Needless to say, I was absolutely astounded to see it's actually available on _Amazon!_ I didn't think you could actually get anything like that anywhere.

Flipping or distorting tags is illegal for street use, that's why you have to register your vehicle and a tag is assigned. This includes using those tinted plate covers. Those tag flippers are relatively easy to spot and you'd be an idiot to use one, a ticket is better than jail and loosing your license and vehicle.
Using flashing lights used specifically for certain emergency responders is illegal unless you are one. Yeah, lots of those on the other half of this vid aren't though, hence VOIP. But if your caught with them, card scanners, while illegitimately using the information obtained with them are.

Around 15 years ago I was chairman of the motorcycle action group (MAG) there was a product that you could spray on your number plate which although totally undetectable to the naked eye would render it unreadable to any type of camera, if you took a photo of it of a video recording all you would see was a blank yellow plate, or whatever colour the number plate was, the makers claimed that this was perfectly legal so as a political organisation we had our legal department look into it and sure enough there was absolutely nothing in road traffic law that said a number plate had to be legible to a camera, just the naked eye, and since it couldn't be detected by the naked eye no one knew that you had used it. However, over the next couple of years we heard from more and more people who had been prosecuted after being seen by an anpr and as neither the police or magistrates tend to have a great understanding of the law although completely legal at the time people were getting fined because it was usually cheaper to pay the fine than it was to engage a solicitor to go to court and plead your case so eventually it disappeared from the market.
@@sambrooks7862 I had heard rumors of such an item. Since I gather your from the UK or province of somewhere (using a u in colour), do you have registration renewal stickers you place on your tags? We do here in the states and even that sticker has the plate number on it for reference and deter sticker theft.
I would say that certain countries/states have their own laws to consider regarding such products. Though the spray would be an instant giveaway nowadays with constable equipment and legal writings to be able to pull you over.

I'm a bit out of touch now but yes I think you're right, once any sort of legal loophole has been exposed it doesn't take long for the law makers to find a way to close it. I first came across this product at a bike show in Kent and bizarrely the stand selling it was next to the Kent Police "bike safe" stand and the police actually confirmed that because the spray was totally transparent and didn't make the number plate unreadable to the eye then it was indeed perfectly legal. Initially it was intended to avoid detection by speed cameras but a police vehicles with automatic number plate recognition cameras (ANPR) became more commonplace it wasn't long before the police began to question why they could clearly read the vehicles number plate but it didn't show up on camera and the MAG started hearing from members saying that although they had been assured that the product was legal they were still being prosecuted for using it and as I said in my initial post it was easier and cheaper to just plead guilty to the charge of altering a number plate than it was to pay a lawyer knowing that you were likely to lose so we started advising members not to use it.

I bought a flashlight off Amazon and it has cop lights as a secondary light. They definitely did not advertise that feature and you'd be nuts to use it in public.

Erm… it’s illegal to use blue flashing lights, especially in conjunction with red lights, in most states. Amber and sometimes red depending on your local laws.
License plate hider? What’s the point? You are still going to get pulled over. Unless you plan to commit a crime using your car. Then wouldn’t it be cheaper to just steal a plate from the mall parking lot and use that?
The laser might be able to start a fire at close range but… diffraction and diffusion can degrade it after a couple of feet. If you’re just going for distance, a one to two million candle power light might work better.
Eye glass cam? So Cold War. But if it can’t record continuous stream, then it’s less than useful. Go to the spy shop and buy one of theirs.
WiFi detector? Use your smart phones.
GSM jammer? Yeah, there are cheaper and easier way to get yourself into trouble with the law. Even more profitable sometimes.
Ok, the Flipper could be useful, if it’s friendly enough for your average users. Pro users would probably just build their own using Pi.
Wi Phone? Really. Don’t everyone have a cell phone already? And even if you don’t have cellular service, you can still use your phone on Wi-Fi and make Wi-Fi calls like Skype and other VoIP portals.
RFID Skimmer looks interesting as it can get card info but… too much effort for too little return in my opinion.
Anyhow, that’s my two cents.

Except when others such as Apple pay Amazon to selectively enforce the "brand" rule to prohibit refurbished devices.
You'd might not realize it, but Amazon DOES terminate accounts, even if those accounts make them money. They also block freight forwarders by disallowing the delivery of products to them (when they can find and verify that a company does freight forwarding). Also, should a package be delivered, based on tracking, to a freight forwarder, the package is considered delivered and no longer supported in any way, by Amazon.
I am surprised that Congress hasn't been looking into freight forwarders though. That's almost certainly how US tech has ended up in the hands of countries where the sale to them is banned, such as Iran.
Several of the items are not illegal but close to the edge, others are not illegal in many jurisdictions, and the rest are just stupidity. I also love that the creator added Amazon links with a kickback to them if you buy.. misinformation and scam.

If you get caught skimming credit/bank cards, you deserve the felony charge.
The video didn't really highlight what THAT tool is actually for. It's a scanner and duplicator for RFID cards and FOBs. Example would be some apartment complexes don't give the residents keys to outer doors and instead, just a key card. This device can scan the key card and duplicate it onto a blank card or FOB allowing access. Some landlords WILL NOT issue a second key card under any circumstances unless you "lose" your old one. If the card and the door scanner is compatible, this tool can solve that issue.

News flash: you dont need a license plate hider if you live in Texas unless you use the highways for commercial purposes, 502.003 of the Texas transportation code is where the LEGISLATURE defined who is required to have registration and who is NOT required to have registration.

@@tomb9566 I travel all over the country with my car with NO PLATES on it. My car is in compliance with TEXAS law and every state in the union is REQUIRED to honor that. I have been in the detroit michigan area for over a year. Before that I was in NC, IN, OH and any other damned state i want to visit and ill do so with IMPUNITY.

If anyone attaches flashing lights to their car that does NOT give them the same legal status of an Emergency Services vehicle!!! @ANTHRAX We just have to supply a communications license to own them legally. I have a class 1, though only have some of them to be able to service a lot of the point of sale equipment We can even have card copiers that will even produce the plastic card. CRCT allows a lot of freedoms. However, break one tiny law and you could be in prison the rest of your life. A hotel manager was caught with a card copier without a communication license, and he is now in prison. All he had to do fill out a form on the CRCT site and wait for a number. All hotels have card copiers. He just did not have his license. If your background is clean, just have your communication license number in case CRCT comes checking your connection and equipment.
