Well he is a trafficker, its not really like he would care for talking to the spirits, and i imagine the blackmailer threatens to reveal that his given name is the very feminine Carro. And the eelskin suit is for protection when smuggeling gosts through volisports foul sewers
My wife observed that Carro sounds kind of like a fantasy Solid Snake, from his skills to his costume. It'll be interesting to see him in action someday.
I think Ellen would be great at GMing. She’s very good at thinking on her feet and that’s a large part of it. It’s always a joy to watch new GMs grow and develop their own style and techniques.

I'm imagining that Volusport's waters are home to massive eels, so that you could tailor an entire bodysuit (or two) from just one hide. And they have that glistening, somewhat silvery grey finish, like early Seven of Nine bodysuit.

Vincent, you must have created an eldritch dice tray if it was able to cause damage to Jane. I can only remember Frostmourne managing to do that. If I were you, I'd go into hiding in case Jane sees you as a threat and sends her minions to deal with you.
As a Blades gm, this was a really good breakdown of the creation process and makes for a great tutorial to pass along to new players. Thanks for this and all the great BitD content OX crew!
This is fun, one of my BitD characters is a Tycherosi cutter who used to be a cop. I love him so much, but he's big, scary and he bites. (He has the Savage ability). His vice is obligation: overprotecting his little brother, now a rebellious teenager. This is also the reason he's not a cop anymore, he fought -and killed- his own patrol to protect the little one.
You guys are awesome for making Luke a new character, friend goals honestly. Relationship between DM and players is on an entirely new level, wishing more groups were like this.

I love this. I picture him as a kind of disgraced naval officer with a tragic past. Or maybe a diver (because of the bodysuit) who saw something ancient and forbidden under the water that was supposed to stay secret or maybe drove him a little mad resulting in him being discharged from the navy and the whole affair was covered up by his superiors.
I did think that making him a naval military man rather than army would suit Luke better. Not sure he needs to be an officer, could be a bosun or something.
When Jane wondered whether Ellen's "law" was "lore", I (a non-Uk human) felt slightly less dumb about any time I didn't understand something someone from the UK said

I was going to wait until I could binge at least a few episodes of the new Blades, buuuuuut... Between being excited about my own campaign and now this, I don't think I can wait! Hope Luke likes his ghost-punching present~ That Flint twist was BRILLIANT! The drama dice were in your favour : D Plus, it gives a nice in-universe connection to the rest of the gang^^ (I'm going to be honest that I was hoping for a Hound because I wanted to see what kind of a hunting pet you would come up with, but Flint being an ex-military tycheros-born cutter who wrangles ghosts into bottles sounds AWESOME!) I really hope Ellen will one day run a Blades game^^ I found GMing super intimidating at first, but now I just have tons of fun with it. And luckily, Ellen can have either Luke or Johnny to coach her. Ah, the blessing of having friends who are also amazing GMs^^

Carro Prichard, an ex-military personnel who went AWOL and became a friend with Mercy the cold killer. She kills the person and he punches the ghost. Trouble is Grace the extortionist found him and blackmailed him for money otherwise she'd tell the Tycheros military that she knows where a deserter is. Hence, Carro turns to gambling to raise money to keep paying Grace but soon found it is not enough and thus now started to go into the world of lovely crimes. . . i like this character. 10/10 would love to see
1:51. Do it! I'm world building and on the verge of beginning party character creation so my freaking amazing Forever DM can play. I thought it'd be fun and it only seems fair after all the fun my group has had thanks to him. He's so excited.
My brother plays a D&D like game on Steam and he has me sit down sometimes and make characters for his party because I don't have Steam so we can't play together. It's fun to see what combinations of loyal and punchy I can come up with. I suppose if I really wanted to try, I'd make something that wasn't basically me, but that's not as fun.

My suggestion to that was simply 2d4-1. Gives a range of 2-8, -1 for a 1-7 =)
Or they could have used a digital dice, but that's not as fun as rolling physical dice, and wouldn't have made use of the dice board
You could get a Gömböc and call it a d1, just to expand the "odd" dice set:]
Odd-sided dice are easy. Just use a cylindrical solid. A d3, for example, would be shaped like a Toblerone box.

He plays a very niche game called Lake Toss. It has the absolute worst payouts but the point of it is that the house never wins.
