If they plan to do it similar to Bozja, having in (fast) and out (slow) of Bozja ways for each step, they can release the outside way of doing it then make it faster when the field operation drops.
Excited for the chaotic alliance raid but concerned about the comment on it being harder because of the amount of players. Frustrating to prog a fight while a few people messing up mechanics wipes the party. Fingers crossed it won’t be that bad.
Only things I'm looking forward to are the chaotic raids (my old Destiny raid friend and I plan to tackle it after Christmas) and the new dungeon gear. Especially the dungeon gear since I enjoy the old-fashioned military vibes the armor radiates. I'd like more new dungeon gear compared to Endwalker but I won't get my hopes up
Hopefully with these pvp updates they'll make a followup on the temporary suspension of free trials from pvp instances from over a year ago, right? *Right!?*
Doesn’t make a lot of sense for chaotic alliance to be released so late.. should have come out before ultimate (though I realize most participating will already be BIS.) I feel like it will take a lot for a BLM era to reign again unless it becomes on par w/ PCT for overall DPS. I know several groups who have players who prefer BLM 100% but play PCT simply because it doesn’t make much sense not to. Relics being released so late also makes little to no sense. SE has become so slow releasing content / evolving this game it’s becoming really frustrating as someone who is bored out of their mind w/ nothing to do on a regular basis. Login on Tuesday for my reclears (though I don’t even need to do that now) and nothing left for an entire week. I love the game but something needs to change “for me” to keep going. Mind you, I understand the majority of the player-base is not in the same boat so it doesn’t matter😂
I don't know how I feel about the chaotic Alliance raid. In one hand it's cool that there is a RAID that now casual players can kind of get into that's not as hard as ultimate but still just challenging enough to where you can't just pretty much turn your brain off and just do it. On the other hand I do hate how many people it's going to take just the clear the damn thing because that means if you're a person like me where really you just only want to hop in just to get the mounts and get out you're going to be sitting there for probably over a thousand runs if you're a person that's also like me that has extremely bad luck just to have a chance to get one out of the two mounts when you have to fight 23 other people just to get it. Because me personally I do not care about hairstyles I play a hrothgar. We cannot use hairstyles so none of that concerns me whatsoever.
For anyone that wants alliance raids to be difficult, it will never satisfy them. It will never be as hard as they want and alliance raids will always be easy to those people, including myself. None of the alliance raids have engaging difficulty because they can't. The only people that would see it as hard are the people that didn't want it to be hard.
@TheAzarak disagree, i really like the stormblood alliance raids, they aren't super hard by any means but they're much more engaging, if you do the shadowbringers and especially endwalker alliance raids they are noticeably much easier and super boring as a result
@@TheAzaraknah man SHB and SB raids still kicks people’s ass to a degree. No one is asking for them to be hard that casuals can’t clear but having wipes here and there is a perfect difficulty for alliance raids and since day 1 aglaia that difficulty has been absent, so hopefully they make the new one closer to Nier raids at least.
@@TheAzarakI can see your point, but the maint complain was that in EW, alliance raids started each fight with 60% of health bar going down as they show the tutorial version of each mechanic, to then do a few mixups when they are close to dead Later on with iLvl it became even worse, as you didnt even get to the mixups, the boss just died doing the tutorial mode patterns What I hope is that they tune back on those tutorial mode fights. Let people eat dirt on the first run, after seeing it 1 or 2 times MOST of the players will be able to do it properly next time, and you make the content hold up for much longer that way
Rinon, I know you mean well by comparing Chaotic Cloud of Darkness to M1S, but understand that such is actually super demoralizing. I tried to get into raiding this expansion and had a blast with the extremes but simply could not do Savage. I tried to learn M1S but it's as if the entire game progressed faster than me and prog groups in PF simply stopped being present anymore while I was only halfway through the fight. You say, "You can do this." but I am simply not a fast enough learner. And nobody tell me to find a static. Neither me nor any of my friends have the regular time to commit to that. Not to mention that theres not enough of us interested in raiding. So it has to be through Party Finder. I intend to try it when it comes out, but comparing it directly to M1S shakes what little confidence I have in my ability to do it.
I'm assuming Relics are tied to Occult Crescent, and therefore probably start with the .2 set, but I agree that Relics are getting shoved to the back of the expansion a lot. I also hope that EW was a nadir of Relic content, and it's uphill from here.
One concern I have about chaotic alliance raid is the fact that it is "enterable" and "practiceable" with 12 people, without scaling. Would that mean that mechanics in the raid would be mechanics that can be resolved with 12 people doing it? (especially with the towers and such)
I'm all for the raid gear looking meh. Having my glam dresser, saddlebag, 3 of my four player inventories, and 6 of my 7 retainers completely full of gear means I'm not going to have to weigh my choices and junk things from my glamour addiction.
In all honesty, it's great that different content is coming to FFXIV. I still love the story despite some of the grips from other people about it. Or hating on it because it's the new thing to do. I am probably in the Positivity Category. But I uninstalled all my other MMORPGs to play FFXIV only.
weekly lock after like a month of savage being out makes no sense w how many books you need for gear for alt jobs, hopefully more farmable content will solve the stagnating feel of patch cycle xiv has, having stuff to do in a videogame is only a good thing, framable content with incenitive is good
The raider part of me is more excited for 7.1 than I've been in a long time. The social part of me, however, is absolutely dreading having to spend all of my time away from my friends and FC, over on Light DC come patch time.
Releasing FRU two days before Thanksgiving and chaotic on Christmas Eve is absurd. “Cope American” yeah yeah yeah, but America is the country with the largest player population. You’d think they’d be willing to wait a week or put it out a week earlier given we’ve been waiting for an ultimate for so long
The screen shot you use for your thoughts on laylines shows it on a 75 second cooldown as you say you assume it's going to be 60 seconds... it's still 120
for the BLM stuff... correct me if I'm misunderstanding things but don't they show the cooldown ticking and its more than 60secs so I think it's just a drift counter-meassure. You can't LL at 4minutes into the fight because heavy movement and have to do yours 30 seconds later? Now with it having stacks that means you'll be able to do that and get back on the timeline for 6minute buffs instead of having it misaligned for the rest of the fight. But yeah, a bit speculative. //nvm, just saw you mention it in the description. Ignore me
@@RinBanana now I'm just imaging devs going "mmmmh, picto seems strong and it being so hyper bursty makes it really nice for ultimates with short 20-30second phases etc... how about we change BLM LL from a 120sec CD to a weaker, 2x 60sec CD so it's dmg is more spread out over the entire 2 minutes" I would have desynthed my TOP BLM staff right on login if that was the case

@@RinBanana you didn't read. he said "should" which is absolutely correct, dropping 730 gear 6 months into the raid tier is abysmal, also this could be that solution to quickly gear an alt job for ultimate.
I'm worried about the fight length of the chaotic alliance raid. Will it be too short or too long and just become droning repeatable content with no superficial story or excitement to be gained from multiple fights/mechanical varieties
I mean the ranked pvp reward is just not good... You have to make it to diamond to get the weapon. It is just not worth the stress man. Back then during ranked feast, You can get a fraction of a weapon skin even in bronze. Although l made it to Crystal for the sage weapon Few seasons ago,l really hate the current implementation for weapon skin reward. It is nothing short of elitism and gatekeeping. If they worry about people feeding and stay in bronze, fine do this: 20 wins in this season are required to be eligible for the reward. And, demotion not being a thing below diamond is just ridiculous. That needs to be changed
Based off of the translation of Yoshi P's comment about working on a system that involves every kind of content makes me HOPE that it will be a Cross-DC duty finder (with accompanying Cross-DC party finder). His comment is so intriguing and yet vague enough to go anywhere with it haha
Great vid recapping the details and sharing insights. Only 2 things - 1) Would have been a nice thing to add a projected release date of 7.2 so that we can gauge just how long this content is supposed to last. 2) People keep putting the word "casual" alongside Extreme and Savage. They are worlds apart lol. Casuals will not watch 15-20 minute videos explaining how to do content.
The PVP update got me hot and ready, but man I am taking a break off until Chaotic Alliance raid. I don't Ultimate raid, farmed my relics (guess I'll start another ARR one YoshiP, look at what you make me do) but it's a very clear "go and play other games" patch for me. But I'm soooo glad the stuff can be bought at the MB, has no weekly and so on. Can't wait to teach some sprouts in my FC and casually get back into Savage.
I really dislike that Chaotic comes out after the Ultimate, I've been trying my hardest to gear up since the liveletter even though i had no interest in doing current savage to try and get into the ultimate on patch and this will delay that by a ton.
I'm a very, very casual player, I don't even really do Extreme Trials and I'm still wanting to try CAR because with so many players I have a hard time imagining it being a unforgiving in terms of mistakes as Savage raids.
Patch being strech like that, just makes me want to stop playing. I won't be playing chaotic 24m because I will be spending time with my family... And knowing how FF14 works, give it 1 week, and there will be guides, and needing to know strats to even try the content. Going in blind will be impossible and once people get their loot they won't come back. As usual.

I believe that a good compromise with the relic weapon is to release the first step without releasing the field operations.
Mind you, I understand the majority of the player-base is not in the same boat so it doesn’t matter😂
part of the reason we didn't get the relic now is because we're getting eureka/bozja style content which probably won't be out till 7.3ish
So is the futuristic looking tech gear in the pvp area going to leave the wolf mark shop too? Imma need to buy the rest if that's the case.
I’m really hoping the alliance raid isn’t brain dead like in EW.
@@Haze-ej7svall of the alliance raids are easy because once you learn the mechanics, it's a cake walk, like everything else in the game.
@@TheAzarakI can see your point, but the maint complain was that in EW, alliance raids started each fight with 60% of health bar going down as they show the tutorial version of each mechanic, to then do a few mixups when they are close to dead
Later on with iLvl it became even worse, as you didnt even get to the mixups, the boss just died doing the tutorial mode patterns
What I hope is that they tune back on those tutorial mode fights. Let people eat dirt on the first run, after seeing it 1 or 2 times MOST of the players will be able to do it properly next time, and you make the content hold up for much longer that way
I mean... changes to the hall of novice and glamours as well as the new MSQ are great. but... I don't raid, so... man, not even the relic...?
Sounds like I'm only grind chaotic alliance for gear, depending on it's difficulty.
14:58 complete speculation but we saw reward on the stream, it was another ring. Probably another exp boost for new players?
When are the buffs coming though? Will we get more for 7.11?
The Age of Black Mage has Returned.
It can go back to being my main again….
In all honesty, it's great that different content is coming to FFXIV. I still love the story despite some of the grips from other people about it. Or hating on it because it's the new thing to do. I am probably in the Positivity Category. But I uninstalled all my other MMORPGs to play FFXIV only.
weekly lock after like a month of savage being out makes no sense w how many books you need for gear for alt jobs, hopefully more farmable content will solve the stagnating feel of patch cycle xiv has, having stuff to do in a videogame is only a good thing, framable content with incenitive is good
Does anyone know when the next savage tier is coming out?
7.2
I think it'll come out next spring, around April or May. Which means ita nearly a year between tiers.
You’d think they’d be willing to wait a week or put it out a week earlier given we’ve been waiting for an ultimate for so long
The screen shot you use for your thoughts on laylines shows it on a 75 second cooldown as you say you assume it's going to be 60 seconds... it's still 120
read the description
for the BLM stuff... correct me if I'm misunderstanding things but don't they show the cooldown ticking and its more than 60secs so I think it's just a drift counter-meassure.
Ignore me
check the description, yeah I made a mistake in the initial sweep and noticed right at the last minute, like a fool!
@@RinBanana now I'm just imaging devs going
"mmmmh, picto seems strong and it being so hyper bursty makes it really nice for ultimates with short 20-30second phases etc... how about we change BLM LL from a 120sec CD to a weaker, 2x 60sec CD so it's dmg is more spread out over the entire 2 minutes"
I would have desynthed my TOP BLM staff right on login if that was the case
does this future includes viera/hroth hats and headgears? 🙄
Wow chaotic rewards are sounding perfect, but too little too late. They had time to try this last expansion. Honestly disappointed that it took this long now that I've quit. But to everyone enjoying this, I'm rooting for your enjoyment.
chaotic alliance raid should drop with 7.1
It releases in 7.15
@@RinBanana you didn't read.
he said "should" which is absolutely correct, dropping 730 gear 6 months into the raid tier is abysmal, also this could be that solution to quickly gear an alt job for ultimate.
@@DarkDyllon ^this
Oh yeah, i misread
still pissed we didnt get the dragonsong themed lance but instead the stunted lance from last expac and the meme one this expac
I'm worried about the fight length of the chaotic alliance raid. Will it be too short or too long and just become droning repeatable content with no superficial story or excitement to be gained from multiple fights/mechanical varieties
Yeah I’m curious about this too honestly
but god why couldnt they just delay everything for 1 week
Because Japan doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas like we westerners do.
I can't wait for the 12 Tank clear of Chaotic CoD
Based off of the translation of Yoshi P's comment about working on a system that involves every kind of content makes me HOPE that it will be a Cross-DC duty finder (with accompanying Cross-DC party finder). His comment is so intriguing and yet vague enough to go anywhere with it haha
Great vid recapping the details and sharing insights. Only 2 things - 1) Would have been a nice thing to add a projected release date of 7.2 so that we can gauge just how long this content is supposed to last. 2) People keep putting the word "casual" alongside Extreme and Savage. They are worlds apart lol. Casuals will not watch 15-20 minute videos explaining how to do content.
casual DONT DO ANY CONTENT LIKE extreme or savage they they barely do normal raids and onyl tiny minority .
"Is it enough to last?"
Lol. Lmao. For raiders? No. For non raiders? Absolutely fucking not.
I really dislike that Chaotic comes out after the Ultimate, I've been trying my hardest to gear up since the liveletter even though i had no interest in doing current savage to try and get into the ultimate on patch and this will delay that by a ton.
You aren’t ready for ultimate if you can’t do savage now.
What an encouraging response.
@@liasprings6502 Well can't blame him really because if you didn't clear M4S at least once then the npc won't let you unlock FRU.
@@liasprings6502 i mean... it's true. that's where the gear is.
Quieter patches aren't always bad tbh. I won't deny a relic step would be nice, but it gives me time to catch up.
It's been 3 years of quieter patches lmao
I'm a very, very casual player, I don't even really do Extreme Trials and I'm still wanting to try CAR because with so many players I have a hard time imagining it being a unforgiving in terms of mistakes as Savage raids.
Gl bro
As far as I remember, the start of a relic was always x.2
Not always, just in more recent expansions, which as far as I’m concerned is too late
ARR had relic weapons on release, Heavensward was 3.15 and Stormblood was 4.0 Not untill shadowbringers that was get x.2
Wrong try again
So only 10 years ago did they have relics on release and it got later and later until shadowbringers? Lol@@tomvanramshorst2146
@@tomvanramshorst2146 Stormblood started with Eureka, which was x.2
PLS NEVER USE A BEGINNER AND CASUAL FREINDLY EVER WHEN TALKING ABOUT THIS BS it midcore at best NEVER CASUAL FREINDLY.
I guess we're not getting crafting gear, huh? Rip.
That type of thing should be in the patch notes. They might add a picture to the site prior, as they did with the pvp gear today, but might not.
@skylara_k thank you. 7.0 has been thr first time I've been at the end of the current patch.
I think we do get another grey set in .1, then the green-tier set will be .3 and the scrip equivalent will come after that.
only ew and maybe hw are casual relics the rest requer NON CAUSAL CONTENT or to much grind for single relic.
I still need the sword from Tidus from final fantasy 10
Patch being strech like that, just makes me want to stop playing. I won't be playing chaotic 24m because I will be spending time with my family... And knowing how FF14 works, give it 1 week, and there will be guides, and needing to know strats to even try the content. Going in blind will be impossible and once people get their loot they won't come back. As usual.
The future of FFXIV is endless Wuk Lamat followed by unsubscribing
