Hi Sorin,good to see you back.The reason the VENT is there is to ALLOW incoming air to flow exactly over the I>O>chip.IT appears they put a vent right over COMPONENTS that would get hot in use in order NOT to have to use a cooling pad or heat-sink.Keeping the cost down and designing easier.It's good that you show JUST how little corrosion it takes to keep a component from working,thank you.

The power light and the laptop monitor intermittently came on, as did in your video; and for that reason, I patiently waited until the laptop fully launched. THANK YOU again!

When I found it , I get rid of them, but laptop isn't working properly sometimes it power off Sunddenly... sometimes after few minutes sometimes lines comes over the screen and power off, don't know what to do , I got no good technicians arround my area. Later after a few minutes only Orange was looking. Why I opened it was because Windows showed me hieroglyphs when I logged in. Can you please help further. Thanks
Same issue has happened to my Dell 7567 laptop and I have taken it to 3-4 repair centers but no solution. Some says microprocessor is dead and ram is also dead and i need to buy new motherboard. But what happened was I opened my laptop in the morning and it was working fine before that day and i played a game and then i shutdown my laptop and after that my laptop got that problem in the morning. I don't know what to do and I don't think that I would really need to buy a new motherboard for that. PS - my laptop battery was so bad that when I unplug the charger it would turn off.

I have an Acer Aspire e1572-6484, found it in a dumpster and looked pretty new. Had 1 Memory 4GB RAM stick and no Hard Drive. Bought an adapter charger for that model, 2 - 4GB RAM Sticks, and I used an old Hard Drive, since the new had not arrived. After charging it, inserted the RAMS and Drive. It started but needed a user password. Tried everything to reset_restore to Factory Settings. Went to TH-cam, found out I needed to reset BIOS CMOS Battery. Well after disassembling and being disappointed that this laptop does not have a Lithium CMOS battery. So sir, how do I RESET/RESTORE my laptop to Factory Settings. This computer doesn't have a Pin Hole either, non of the reset commands are working because all the commands go back to the USER PASSWORD to reset... 🤔 Hmm? The new Hard Drive will give me a brand nrw start, I probably have to add an Operations System... I think? HELP, I need your help sir. I do not know what heck I am doing, this is my first attempt in trying to do a Frankenstein on a laptop that I can call my own.💻
