This song hits me so hard. My husband, who I had 22 years with, passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly a little over a year ago. I had been with him since I was only 18 years old. This song makes me think of him and how much I miss him. I've been in an amazing new relationship for a little over 5 months now, but I still miss him, love him, and think of him daily. He was my first true love and I grew up with him from 18 to 40 years old. Life just hasn't been the same since he left this world. :(

I don't want to be rude or anything but I always wonder about that. Like my old neighbor her and her husband were married for 31 years and he passed away. Everyone asked her don't you ever want to date again? She was like no I had my soulmate I'm not going to steal someone else's. That was my happiness. She said plus if there is an afterlife I know it will break his heart me in the arms of another man. Like to me personally that is real love. I mean it's so cool though like she has friends and family she's not lonely. But she has no desire to date anyone else. That's the kind of love I eventually want. That real once in a lifetime soulmate.

This song evokes so many memories of my late childhood. This scene from Casper was one of those moments that I’ll always remember with a heavy emotional nostalgia. A mixture of the beauty of the song, how I’ve always been in love with Christina Ricci, and just how powerful the moment was - an amazing climax in the history of cinema in my humble opinion… and an admittedly limited experience. I’ve probably seen fewer movies and shows than 80-90% of people. But I will still stand by that statement. A scene so magical and perfect that I still recall it vividly and even get a bit emotional when thinking about it, and this was what, 20-25 years ago? And I haven’t seen it since then either. I would love to watch it again but it’s unlikely.

The late 90's and early 2000's had such a magic aura. Music, movies. It was so good, and now it feels so nostalgic. Love the movie and song.
From 1994-1997 I had the most incredible girlfriend. She was my first real serious relationship. That whole time was surreal looking back. Towards the end of our time together I found the band Talk Show. It was through that band that I survived the break up.

The production team behind Casper were just getting to the part of the Halloween dance, and needed to find a young actor to fill in the role of Casper in human form on short notice. Director Brad Silberling knew that for the moment where Kat and Casper reunite at the dance to feel genuine, he needed an actor who could illicit a strong reaction from Christina Ricci, so he brought her along for the process of casting the human Casper. Silberling discovered Devon Sawa's picture and contacted him, and when Sawa and Ricci met on the set, Ricci was blushing and giggling so much in his presence that Silberling knew he found the perfect actor for the part.

How could anyone dislike such a beautiful song? I sometimes question humanity. This is why pure and true love does not even exist anymore. Modern music is corrupting everyone’s brain, and teaching children as well as adults that listening to love songs is considered weak and vulnerable. Never heard this song until Spotify randomly played it at 12:53 exactly 7 years from day my grandma died . Accidently hid song instead of liked it. As I tried to get Spotify back on the auxiliary in car was static. It came back working and I looked it was 12:54. I believe grandma wanted to reach out. Amazing thing that happened.
