Wish I knew about that rub brick when I was younger we used to use pieces of sandstone or other rocks and then would use dollar store bar soap to cover the whole thing and rub a piece of wood behind it to make it fill in the gaps . After all that would use the dollar store candles to coat it and then spray it down with liquid rubber concrete sealant . The ledge/curb we did this too when I was 15 and still being skated and I am now in my 30's .Great video !
Nice work man. I have to say, this was the most informative, and easy to follow DIY video for prepping a curb for skating. Also fairly inexpensive too. Which is huge. Thanks
great vid man! i hate it when I'm waxing a curb and non-skaters / random people ask me what I'm doing, it's so awkward. "what are you doing" "just waxing the curb" "oh" and then they fuck off XD
It's fucking crazy when there's such a major homeless population in the US.. Especially now that so many stores are closing they should be using them to build housing or at least let them put tents up instead of next to the freeways..
Yeah sorry I should have linked them all in the description to make it easier but honestly didn’t think this many people would watch this video 😂 but yeah if it helps I found everything at Home Depot or any hardware shop. Just ask the people at the counter what you’re looking for and they’ll help!
i always wondered how the guys in the skate videos could grind curbs without paint and why some painted curbs didnt grind.its all about laquer and smoothness apperantly
@@coryzma11 yeah I would recommend letting the lacquer dry first and then wax. And it all depends sometimes all you need is the lacquer and you’re good. But keep wax handy just in case

Rad taming of that crunchy curb!
I love how it got sunny by the time you got done and were ready to skate it. Love your positivity dude! Much love from The Netherlands

Yeah there’s not many folks who would understand 😂
listening to you skate it was pure ASMR lol, especially with ur keys janglin too
Been debating a video consisting of only curb slaps purely for the ASMR aspect

thank you so much i'm seeing this in 2022 today i'm trying to make a spot
Is the paint needed? Or does that make it slide better with the wax
I wouldn’t say you need it but it definitely helps smooth it out a bit. Makes the process faster.
brah you really rounded that thing out with the brick. wish i could rip!
shid i just subscribed cus of the authentisity i already knew how to do this

Adults can wear reflective vest kids gotta wear all black at night😭
I HATE getting dirt on my grip-tape, let alone using a deck as a shovel.
That board will never be the same again.
It was already toast before I used it as a shovel 😂
This is a smart idea but why not just go to a skatepark where they have ledges
