I’ve got a mini ramp already and have been brainstorming on how to start adding in more pieces for a yard park. This video helped a lot! Your skatepark is amazing, and I’m gonna steal a lot of your ideas and transition spots
Check my comment, it should be 5-6 up from this? I've been skating almost 40 yrs, and I have a shitload of ideas, especially for smaller/limited spaces. Feel free to hit me up!
Congrats on passing 500 Subscribers! 🎉 Thank you for sharing this, I really enjoyed all of your insight/hindsight in building your awesome setup. I wish I would've filmed more of the process, It took me all summer to build a d.i.y. halfpipe and enclose it with a roof in my backyard last year by myself, and just this year I resurfaced it again. That said, I totally related to alot of what you said, or had to do in the construction of your setup. I subscribed, so i'll stay tuned 📺🛹💥💥💥
Nice! Only thing I'd do different would be to make the small QP side mirror the bigger side, so you'd have speed to hit the QP. Then, you'd have a mini with a pyramid (idk what they're called when it's just 2 sides lol) in the middle! Either way, I'd be stoked AF!
I considered doing this as well but liked the idea of being able to learn tricks on the small ramp and and then do them on the bigger one! Both ramps give me plenty of speed (often too much lol)
I’ve definitely got some ideas for it. Only issue is, like I said in the video I may have to take it mostly apart and somewhat start over in around a year or so, so I’m holding off on extending for now
Since the wood underneath it ends up being 1” thick (2 sheets of 3/8 plywood + 1 sheet of 1/4 skatelite) I took the decking boards I used, since they are 1” thick, and set them on each sides of the coping and adjusted the 2x4s that supported the coping until the two decking boards looked like they were at a good riding surface height. It’s mostly done by eyeballing and feel if that makes sense.
I’m actually thinking about making a video specifically addressing coping in the next couple weeks! I’ve got a few other helpful tips to get it sitting perfect
Haha yeah he said he’d hold it for me. I work out of town and wasn’t the first to message him. It’s hard to find a good deal on skatelite so I jumped on the opportunity
@@toony1998 Yeah for sure man. I went to the dump one time and got there like 20 minutes too late. They had crushed an entire skate park worth of ramps :(
Just realized this has 2,200 views. I’ve made tpvideos of much worse quality and gotten more, Hence why I don’t understand why this doesn’t have at,east 50k people watching.
Yo my friends Chris and Cole know you, Chris has showed me your ramp before. If you ever come to Dickson I’d like for you to check out the DIY at my house and if you ever need an extra set of hands let me know. I I have my own tools
Oooh yeah I’ve heard about the infamous ramp! Would love to get out there. I’d love to skate it/maybe work on some stuff! The concrete mini in Bellevue got torn down so I was thinking about building something else there if I can find a good spot
i swear skaters make the best yt content, i come across so many small channels with unreasonably good videos like this - subscribed
Wow thanks!! One of the nicest comments I’ve received!
Probably cuz 80% of YT is people thinking they're gonna get YT famous, whereas we put shit up for the love of what we do!
This video is very helpful. Hearing your mistakes is going to save me a lot of time and money.
Love to hear that man!! Send pictures when you start your project! I love looking at backyard setups for inspiration

Damn fine job! I’ve built dozens of ramps over the years and this was a solid build with good geometry.👍
Thank you! Means a lot
man i really admire your work!!!
Appreciate the kind words!

Yooo thanks man I really appreciate it!! Would love to see it if you made a video
Oh I see your video! Also congrats on your 500 as well man!!
Looks so fun, you have some seriously inspiring skills
Thank you!🙏
I’m a Nashville local just built a little fun box today remember that ramp from compound skate shop that looks like a fun set up
I kiss that ramp man! They wouldn’t let me get one last session in while I was taking it apart because of noise complaint 😢
Nice!

unbreakable will taking on the task of transporting that used ramps
I love the use of the truck coupon
We only get so many of those
That is a perfect setup
hell yeah dude thats sickk!
love this RAMP
This is so sick
🐌
Looks epic man nice work.
Thanks a ton!
This is so dope!
Sick ramp🔥
Sick park dude! Should extend the ramp out on the sides where the coping is too long and add a spine in the middle

Great video...I guess the new neighbors don't care that there's a person skating outside all the time...
Every teens dream we had a quarter and a box made back in the day me and my mates skated behind my parents house for a few summers
Sick ramp
Thanks!
You're from Calgary, that's cool bro! nice park
I’m from Tennessee! Funny enough I’ll be in Canada for my first time this week though
For the long piece of coping hanging off you got to build something under that.
W video bro
I appreciate it!
That Volvo was a TANK
Hahaha foreal
That would be sick in a shipping container like a 40’ long high cube
how far do you embed the coping? I am making a mini ramp for my yard and I dont know how much it sticks out

Please toss up the dimensions and radius on the tennis court ramp. Looks perfect for me
So for that one i actually followed the plans on diy skate.com. The only thing I changed was I made the deck larger
Use stilts for easier leveling.
You don’t happen to know of a video/tutorial where they specifically teach this do you
500 for a free ramp?

I appreciate that! It’s a pretty niche video if you ask me
Also for my standards I’d say 2000 ain’t too bad haha

lol home owners. not something i'd ever know about lmao cant wait til i drop dead
In the past I’ve heard Sasquatches have a hard time getting a good loan. I’m sorry for the discrimination if this is your case
The word ramp has lost all meaning at this point
U payed 500 AND removed it for them ???? Smh Kook move..🤦
They most likely shut down because they didn't have enough money, he was just helping out which is the right thing to do
haven’t even watched yet, already subbed. the thumbnail alone told me this was some shi 🥹
Thanks homie!
