How to Make Whipped Cream with an Immersion Blender

  • Learning how to make whipped cream with an immersion blender is easy. Instead of using canned whipped topping, make homemade whipped cream with just a few ingredients. Most recipes make enough whipped cream to frost a cake, but sometimes you just need a little bit for a slice of cake, a bowl of ice cream, a piece of flan, or some other single-serving dessert. By using a hand held blender to make whipped cream, you can have a single serving of fresh, homemade whipped cream in one minute. Be sure to watch my latest recipe video!

    Cut down on dirty dishes. Blend in a wide mouth mason jar. A stick blender fits perfectly. Store leftovers in the same jar. Put the jar in the freezer overnight. A cold jar helps the cream thicken faster.

    • @tv-ov5nh

      PS. It helps that the measurements are on the jar.

      What do you do with the remaining vanilla pudding?
      I've seen a few recipe videos that stabilize whipped cream with different ingredients. I have never tried them. My inner voice makes me eat all the whipped cream, so not around long enough to destabilize.
      I keep frozen bananas in the freezer so I use whipped cream with them, then freeze the mixture. Delicious frozen dessert that's just as yummy as ice cream. With no preservatives and less sugar than store bought. I sometimes add a bit of sweetened condensed milk, but now I'm thinking of trying a little vanilla pudding in my bananas.

    I got an immersion blender about a year ago I think. Main reason for buying is whipped cream and creamy soups.
    I have a pint sized, wide mouth Mason jar I think is perfect for immersion blending almost everything. I even use it every week to blend the batter for dutch baby pancakes. I think glass chills more quickly in the fridge. You can also put the Mason jar in a bowl of ice/ice water (while blending) for even faster whipped cream making. Or for those times you forget to chill every part. I do this for frozen bananas so they stay very chilled.

    • @ParnellTheChef
      @ParnellTheChef  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, an immersion blender is a secret weapon when making whipped cream and creamy soups.
      I think that using a Mason jar is a great idea! Honestly, I agree that glass is probably better, but there is so much "quilombo" in my fridge that I need something that won't break if it falls because I didn't find a good place for it, haha.
      I bet those Dutch baby pancakes are great. Thanks for watching as always!

    Hey I'm not sure if you're still using your KA immersion blender but the instability is due to the blending arm not being securely attached to the motor. The arm has a locking mark on it as does the motor. The locking mark is identified as a "l" symbol, line up the corresponding symbols to lock the blending arm in place either clockwise or counter and unlock using the opposite motion. Hope this helps, not having the arm secured can be a pain and takes away from how good the product really is.

    Dude...can I ask kindly, I have a BAMIX handheld which can’t detach, should I also chill it in the fridge?
    Secondly, I’ve seen some videos where cooks/chefs make whipped cream with Milk and not Cream...I’ve tried with milk but have failed dismally🙈 the milk doesn’t come anywhere to thickening like yours does.
    There’s a home made ice cream I’d like to make and it requires whipped cream, can you advise as to where or how I could be going wrong with my method.
    Your response and advice will be greatly appreciated.

      @ParnellTheChef  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!
      I have never used a BAMIX handheld mixer, but I think it would probably be OK to put into the refrigerator.
      If you use milk, you have to use some sort of stabilizing powder. Milk on its own won't hold its shape because it doesn't have enough fat.
      With the no churn ice cream, whip the cream until it starts to get hard, but not "whipped cream" yet. Then, fold in the sweetened condensed milk. nice and easy!
      I hope that helps 👍

    • @ParnellTheChef

      Hi!
      It depends on the fat content. Cream needs to be at least 30% fat to whip.

      Hi, Mandy!
      Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you. Two things come to mind as to what may have happened:
      1. Was everything cold? Everything needs to be cold: the blender itself, the cream, and the bowl or container in which you are whipping the cream.
      2. What percentage fat was the cream? You need about 36% minimum to get whipped cream.
      I hope that helps!👨‍🍳

      Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you. I think that you probably whipped the cream too much. Unfortunately, if you keep whipping the cream, eventually it will turn into butter with sugar. Hi, Sakshi, so sorry to hear that you had trouble making whipped cream. Was your cream at least 36% fat? If not, then it won't whip up properly. Maybe that was the issue?

    I tried to make whipped cream with 25% cream with immersion blender. I whisked it for 30min but I couldn’t get whipped cream!🥺🥺

      Hi, Shravani!
      Sorry to hear that you had trouble making whipped cream. I think the problem was that the fat percentage was too low: I would use cream that is at least around 36% fat. That is more then likely the problem.
      If you try that, let me know how it turns out.
      Have a great day👍
