    That's so cool you can do this with the immersion blender. We haven't tried doing butter, but we've done mayonnaise. This butter has to taste so fresh. Very nice consistency too. We prefer soft butter anyway. It's perfect for us. Pan con mantequilla is the best thing in the world too!

      Like I've been saying, immersion blenders are quite handy! As a sneak peak, mayo is my next video, haha!
      The butter was definitely fresh. A bit more water than storebought, but still good. And I agree; "pan con mantequilla" (manteca in Argentina) is great, especially with a sprinkling of salt, haha👌😉

      If you have just a little bit of leftover whipping cream, I think that using an immersion blender is easier than using a stand or even hand mixer. If you try it, let me know. Thanks for watching, Melissa!👍

    I’m wanting an immersion blender. The one I was looking at is the kitchen aid 2 speed. Is that the one you have? And if it is would you recommend it? And one last question, is yours capable of crushing ice? Thank you for your videos. 😀

    • @ParnellTheChef
      @ParnellTheChef  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Cheryl!
      I apologize for taking a bit to get back to you.
      I checked and my blender is a Kitchen Aide, but I do not think that it is a 2 speed. This is actually my first and only immersion blender that I have ever had, so I can't comment on a 2 speed. I picked this one up for $20 a few years ago, and it still works fine.
      I have never used it to crush ice, so I am not sure. Personally, I probably wouldn't use it to do that...but if I wanted to, I would go online to check reviews and see if anyone has mentioned using it to crush ice.
      And thank you for your kind words! I have a lot more video recipes coming soon, so stay tuned!😀

    Hi Parnell. I’ve made butter a few times with a mixer, but never tried it with an immersion blender! I will definitely try this out.
    You should also try to “culture” the cream before making the butter. It adds a very sophisticated “tang” to the finished butter that people pay a lot money to buy in the store or in a restaurant, and you can achieve the same results at home for free. 🤣

    • @ParnellTheChef

    If the whole supposed point was to save money by not wasting the cream you already bought to expiration; you definitely need to WASH your butter - OR It is going to be rancid before you can use it (exactly like the cream, except now you have spent the time making it into butter and the expense of washing up after so technically it’s more wasteful in time and every other way)
