Works fine for me. People keep saying they smell it on me. Kinda like the fact that it’s close to the skin. It floats around when you stand close to people. And it’s close enough to skin not to offend.

Definitely try it yourself. I purchased when it first came out before all the negative reviews,and actually really liked it and thought the longevity was great.

off my skin the parfum last 8-9 hrs easy. projection is best in the first 2hrs but it leaves an amazing sillage or scent trail for hours. at work while im moving i can almost follow my own scent trail. also i noticed the frag has a tendency to increase projection if i start being more active than usual. then it calms down when i do. i really like this fragrance and its worth the price to me.
I haven't tried this but I am a huge Dior Fan boy and I got the EDT and the EDP. If the price was right I would have ignored all the other downfalls. I will try in stores.
I perfer the more subtle scents anyways. More people appreciate not having the scents be all up in their faces. Plus I'd rather wear it for me not others anyways.
Dior's atomizers are top notch. I have Savauge EDT still unopened. I got it the first day it came out. I also have 2 10 mls of the EDT, and a 10 ml of the Eau EDP, of which i like better. Wow, 7 sprays and no one noticed . To bad, sounded promising BdC Eau EDP sounds better. Heck , an ultra designer like PdM , at Dior's price parfum price would be much better, you're correct. Pulled out my 2014 Dior Homme , wonderful, and that atomizer, wow. Thanks for your honesty Ashton.

You were definitely right about Dior releasing another version of Sauvage, we have Elixir now. I'm here because I want something that smells like the EDT but not offensive. My woman hates the EDT which I have but it's almost finished. Elixir is a bit pricey but I might have to settle for it.
If you’re considering buying Dior in 2021 : 1. Don’t buy the EDT , it’s not the same and has been heavily reformulated at this point 2. I currently own Dior EDP and bought it 2 months ago , i give it 4 sprays in the morning and the smell won’t go away from my skin and clothes. 😂😂You won’t regret it , it’s powerful and get’s me compliments all day. 3. Bought the Parfum 60 ML , it lasts about 4 hours . 0 Projection .
Bleu de Chanel is the same way or so I've heard. The EDT outperforms the EDP and Parfum, the EDP outperforms the Parfum and the Parfum is one of those 'where'd you go?' fragrances. It's kind of weird for a Parfum to be so weak in projection, but I guess it's because it has less alcohol to carry it off the skin than the EDT does. The con to that, of course, is that the more alcohol, the less longevity (usually) so I'm assuming Parfums last for several hours on the skin, but no one can smell them unless they have their nose buried wherever you sprayed it and that's just...weird. 😄
@@DarlingNikki2 What I've heard/read about BdC was that EDP was marginally better than EDT and that the Parfum had no realistic improvements over EDP that justified the price tag. Mind you though I'm sort of new to this stuff and my main sources are YT channels and Fragrantica
@@DarlingNikki2 It all depends on the person. For me Bleu de Chanel performs and projects better in the Parfum varient. EDT and EDP doesn't project as long as Parfum does. Best thing is go to the store, spray a test spray and see which one works best on your skin
I honestly enjoyed this review. Every point you made was very well articulated. Much appreciated. I was thinking about buying this one since I don’t own the other concentrations. But the price is what held me back. Other reviewers on TH-cam have also been either “whelmed” or underwhelmed by the Parfum concentration. I’ve had the bottle of parfum for 2 years now and it’s basically full and I never wear it I loved it at first and it quickly turned into a musky old lady scent
I get 10-12 hours with the first two hours projecting an arms length, then it sits close to the skin the rest of the way. Mine needed about a month or two after the first sprays to macerate. Didn’t last too long at first, maybe 6 hours, but now it’s a beast on me. Rounded. Mature. Made me sell my EDT. This is what a 33 year old should smell like :)

I think it might be your skin with projection, because it works for me, but your right about the price, I think maybe they wanted to make the Pafum a winter version. So EDT for Summer Edp for Fall And Parfum for winter. But I'm really stumped on justifying the price because I get enough compliments with my 200ml EDP Bottle.

I got for this for 55 bucks. I don't like the edt for the overwhelming projection. In my circle I don't have Colognaisseurs, so I usually don't wear choking frags. This one is more subdued and sociable.
I must've gotten lucky or my skin just works with this concentration because I get immense performance from this fragrance. I was a bit unsure when I opened my Christmas present to find this one instead of the edp but I am so so happy I was gifted this instead. Sorry about your experience Ashton.
I must note though that I only own designers so that's the strength that I'm used to. Maybe for the price tag you were expecting niche performance? I'm not too sure what a niche fragrance performs like but all I know is that this one I can smell all day long.

problem with this one is its nearly twice the price of the EDT, for 1 of these u can get 2 EDT's and they last longer and smell better honestly.........................

I paid $180 for the 100 ml bottle and honestly I was really disappointed with the performance. However, it smells great but it’s just not a Sauvage without that insane projection and longevity. Which would you recommend as the best Sauvage for performance and longevity. EDT or EDP?
Pure Parfumes do not project. They are more a body scent. And last a really really long time. The alcohol in the EDT and EDP help to project it as it dries. But do not last as long. Parfum is more of a romantic kind of scent for people you want close to you. Cuddling. Dates. Movies. Car rides. Etc
The longevity is amazing I had the Macy’s lady spray my left arm with the edt and the right arm with the perfum and the perfum stuck until the next day when the edt was gone. Settled with the perfum in the end

Guys save your money and go buy Belcam’s Primitive Man. It’s $8 and is literally identical to Sauvage. Sauvage is maybe a tad softer on the opening but after 10 minutes I could not tell the difference. In my opinion, a better clone than CDNIM is of Aventus. Edit: also I’m referring to the EDT of Sauvage.
Ok, i seem to have a special kind of skin. Sauvage perfume is a performance *beast* on me. 2 sparys is max! I tried 4 sprays 1 time and was projecting way to much to the point I had to wash it of. Meanwhile TF noir extreme (on me) doesn't project at all.
Can’t stand the edt never smelled this one but it gives me headaches sold mine and bought a 3.4 oz of Eros and 6.7 oz Eros flame and I like them better and you can get both for 2/3 the price of savauge
8:25 not sure about that you know. In the UK, John Lewis a department store had a price match of 15% off the day it was added to their site, I was also able to use my Staff discount for another 25% off! 🤯 so £45 for 60ml (don’t know what that is in dollars check it up)
Interesting I guess everyones skins are different at my Christmas party the Parfum got me noticed about 13 times. Price is ridiculous for it not doing much, i got on discounter 100.00 lol
I just got the ODT. It's amazing & worth the hype. I'm super picky too. Yeah it might be super popular & others wear it, well NOT in my neighborhoods. If anything It's a bit more bold & projecting than I usually go for, so don't spray but 2 to 4 shots max.
Awesome video man. My experience was the same. I have a lot of niche fragrances, but I’ve been grabbing a few designers just for some casual dumb reaches. This just isn’t worth it. It also has a few remnants of the older Eau Sauvage...
this was on my top to buy list, but luckily I had the mind to check it out at the department store first. it was nothing as I thought it would be. it's flowery smell is too much for me, soo happy I didn't blind buy this online. It's not my thing, I would think it would smell better on my wife.

Sauvage Parfum lifehack (at least of my skin) - layer this with the EDT and that gorgeous mandarin note is brought to life and begins to project along with the EDT.
Harrison Murray obviously the edt is more prominent but layering adds a richness and as I said allows the mandarin note that isn’t in the edt to project.
Ash, I love the honesty here my man, but I think you should come back to this fragrance with a new batch. I have a new batch and saw this review after buying and honestly couldn’t believe my ears.
The EDP was fine. There was no need to even create this. On top of that I find the Very Cool Spray to be the best performance out of the four and it's also the cheapest

Really liking the honestly. I bought a 100ml just cause I love the elixir and wanted a same DNA but more "blue-ish"/ allaround frag. Loving the top and mid but once this goes to the dry (1h max) it goes really soapy and loosing all the other notes.
You called it, Elixir wasn’t far away! I got a couple of samples of the Parfum and this performs like a beast for me from the pathetic little squirts that come out of the samples. They’re all very similar for me and if you own one it’s enough, it’s redundant to own the EDT, EDP and Parfum imo.

Stellar video, Mr. Ashton! I love the EDT of Sauvage, but despised the Parfum version from the moment I tried it at Macy's. It's flankers like this as to why we, as a community, need to hold these fragrance companies accountable for the garbage that they put out. I know for them that it's all about making money at the end of the day, but if we can come together and state what we truly feel, we would hope that they would get the message and stop churning out this overpriced bullcrap.
Picked up a Dior Sauvage EDP 200 ml last nite :). Dillards had a 15% off Fragrance purchases over 75 bucks. Obviously Chanel was excluded :( , but i got a mini sample of Sauvage Parfum for free. Sooo i will be sampling on the side from time to time
RJ it was 170$ with 15% off came out to around 150 for the EDP. The original is very metallic and citrusy opening ( i don’t like the EDT personally). The EDP is toned down and smells like licorice with some vanilla in the drydown , while the new one for me smells like , citrus , vanilla, some sandalwood , veryyy creamy. But not worth the price imo!
I can get the 60ml version for ~60 euros but for the same price i can get the YSL WHY LIVE 100ml bottle.I also have the Y EDP which i really enjoy soooo,that's a dilemma.I will probably just pass on the Dior parfum since it has bad performance :( .

marxman 300 sure one review is from @by Kevin samuels I had to unsubscribe after his review lol. I purchased the fragrance on Dior’s website and it came with a free small sample. Used the sample and it was fragrance free on the skin. So I returned the garbage of a scent.
It’s not bad scent wise, it’s a very refined edt sauvage, but I do agree the actual longevity and sillage is horrendous! Definitely not worth $150 for a 100mL EDP ALL DAY BABY!!!!

Guys save your money and go buy Belcam’s Primitive Man. It’s $8 and is literally identical to Sauvage. Sauvage is maybe a tad softer on the opening but after 10 minutes I could not tell the difference. In my opinion, a better clone than CDNIM is of Aventus.
Edit: also I’m referring to the EDT of Sauvage.

Sauvage perfume is a performance *beast* on me. 2 sparys is max! I tried 4 sprays 1 time and was projecting way to much to the point I had to wash it of.
Meanwhile TF noir extreme (on me) doesn't project at all.
Can’t stand the edt never smelled this one but it gives me headaches sold mine and bought a 3.4 oz of Eros and 6.7 oz Eros flame and I like them better and you can get both for 2/3 the price of savauge

8:25 not sure about that you know. In the UK, John Lewis a department store had a price match of 15% off the day it was added to their site, I was also able to use my Staff discount for another 25% off! 🤯 so £45 for 60ml (don’t know what that is in dollars check it up)
This definitely has a dressed up feel with a slight powdery dry down. I still like EDP better.
Interesting I guess everyones skins are different at my Christmas party the Parfum got me noticed about 13 times. Price is ridiculous for it not doing much, i got on discounter 100.00 lol

I just got the ODT. It's amazing & worth the hype. I'm super picky too. Yeah it might be super popular & others wear it, well NOT in my neighborhoods. If anything It's a bit more bold & projecting than I usually go for, so don't spray but 2 to 4 shots max.

Awesome video man. My experience was the same. I have a lot of niche fragrances, but I’ve been grabbing a few designers just for some casual dumb reaches. This just isn’t worth it. It also has a few remnants of the older Eau Sauvage...

this was on my top to buy list, but luckily I had the mind to check it out at the department store first. it was nothing as I thought it would be. it's flowery smell is too much for me, soo happy I didn't blind buy this online. It's not my thing, I would think it would smell better on my wife.

Sauvage Parfum lifehack (at least of my skin) - layer this with the EDT and that gorgeous mandarin note is brought to life and begins to project along with the EDT.

Harrison Murray obviously the edt is more prominent but layering adds a richness and as I said allows the mandarin note that isn’t in the edt to project.

Go for the EDT or EDP for sure, cheaper and both perform like monsters.

Ash, I love the honesty here my man, but I think you should come back to this fragrance with a new batch. I have a new batch and saw this review after buying and honestly couldn’t believe my ears.

The EDP was fine. There was no need to even create this. On top of that I find the Very Cool Spray to be the best performance out of the four and it's also the cheapest
EDP & VCS are my favorite flankers ... In the summer time VCS is just perfectly zesty.

I bought a 100ml just cause I love the elixir and wanted a same DNA but more "blue-ish"/ allaround frag.
Loving the top and mid but once this goes to the dry (1h max) it goes really soapy and loosing all the other notes.
Love the smell, absolutely!! Unfortunately, projection and price make it a hard pass...

Smelled this on paper yesterday and it smelled better to me then the edt which is the only one I own.
You called it, Elixir wasn’t far away! I got a couple of samples of the Parfum and this performs like a beast for me from the pathetic little squirts that come out of the samples. They’re all very similar for me and if you own one it’s enough, it’s redundant to own the EDT, EDP and Parfum imo.
Ever thought you did this video and now Dior has Dior Sauvage Elixir. You predicted the possibility but the name was thinkable.

Stellar video, Mr. Ashton! I love the EDT of Sauvage, but despised the Parfum version from the moment I tried it at Macy's. It's flankers like this as to why we, as a community, need to hold these fragrance companies accountable for the garbage that they put out. I know for them that it's all about making money at the end of the day, but if we can come together and state what we truly feel, we would hope that they would get the message and stop churning out this overpriced bullcrap.

Picked up a Dior Sauvage EDP 200 ml last nite :). Dillards had a 15% off Fragrance purchases over 75 bucks. Obviously Chanel was excluded :( , but i got a mini sample of Sauvage Parfum for free. Sooo i will be sampling on the side from time to time
How much was it and how does it compare to the original?
RJ it was 170$ with 15% off came out to around 150 for the EDP. The original is very metallic and citrusy opening ( i don’t like the EDT personally). The EDP is toned down and smells like licorice with some vanilla in the drydown , while the new one for me smells like , citrus , vanilla, some sandalwood , veryyy creamy. But not worth the price imo!

I can get the 60ml version for ~60 euros but for the same price i can get the YSL WHY LIVE 100ml bottle.I also have the Y EDP which i really enjoy soooo,that's a dilemma.I will probably just pass on the Dior parfum since it has bad performance :( .

marxman 300 sure one review is from @by Kevin samuels I had to unsubscribe after his review lol. I purchased the fragrance on Dior’s website and it came with a free small sample. Used the sample and it was fragrance free on the skin. So I returned the garbage of a scent.

It’s not bad scent wise, it’s a very refined edt sauvage, but I do agree the actual longevity and sillage is horrendous! Definitely not worth $150 for a 100mL EDP ALL DAY BABY!!!!
