i don't trust this software, stopped using it a while back, but i like its simplicity.

This is not the case. You have to understand any software you are using to depth . So that you can twerk it to give you what you want. Note that every software has it's strength and weaknesses as well.

@@musumbaamukoya3543 so far I like Etabs for RC building design, but it does not give detailed drawings like prota, CSI detail is not good for me. Robot is nice for structural steel design.

It's all about what works for you on any kind of project. And how familiar you are with the particular software to produce the required documentation.

@@adeniranadejumo8534 hello, did you check shear diagram for the primary beams, B5 and B4? is the SFD stepped at secondary beam location? i modelled a case of beam supported on a beam and i did not find any large discrepancies with Etabs and Robot. I think Prota is just okay. My fears in prota are only for column design, very unpractical design results for column rebar at top storeys way more than ground storey. that made me frown upon the software, but since i began a come back at it, i started loving it a bit.

@@calvoh9715 yes, it always about the settings in prota structures. Once you are familiar with the settings that best gives results you are comfortable with then it's cruise for you. As regards columns design I use to have issues as well but as I got a hold of it's workings it was not much of a problem.
