This Eleggo thing is what drew me into the whole electronics thing a year ago. This kit was the best purchase I ever made on Amazon. It only led me to more and more interesting electronics and cs skills that I still enjoy to this very day.
I got one in April 2019 for €46,99. Quite happy with it. What speaks in favour of Elegoo is that they update their product. In your box the CD is labeled V1.0.2017.10.3, mine is V1.0.2018.09. Lot of hardware makers abandon their software, but it looks like Elegoo is putting in some more effort and ships with updated CD. Kudos!
I got this kit about a year ago and ive had fun with it. not so much for real world applications but more for theory and practice. the ultrasonic sensor worked quite well, never really figured what i would do with the joystick, maybe one day i will but overall im very satisfied with the kit and what it let me explore and learn. i would recommend this to anyone who is curious and wants to get into arduino kits. gonna check out more of your videos, i like how they are laid out and very easy to understand.
I have never heard of Arduino in my life until a few minutes ago. I have a very basic electronic knowledge. I can connect light bulb to battery. I was watching a tutorial of basic circuits and the breadboard(didn’t know it’s name then) interested me. Thought I would buy myself one to play with. Got on Amazon and found some Elegoo kits and landed on your video to understand a little bit about those kits. When you said you made videos on this and that, you kind of convinced me to go for it. 😬. I just bought the same kit. Thanks for this amazing video. I have subscribed. I look forward to learning a lot from you. I’m excited!
I still use Nanos the most but this kit for the price gives you an R3 and a ton of extra stuff. I've purchased a couple of the 37 in 1 Sensor kits when they were on sale. Elegoo does make the best sensor kits. The parts may come from everywhere but the Elegoo parts always work. I'm really glad to see you resurrecting the Arduino there are just so many things you can use them for. Thanks for a great video!
Thanks so much for this video. I received my Starter Kit from Amazon today and really enjoyed your overview of the product. Also, the quality of your video is excellent and much appreciated. When you didn't know what a particular part was you stopped the video, found out and restarted. I am sure you spent a lot of time editing it as well. There is no annoying music to be heard (thank you) and your presentation is very understandable and professional. I look through a lot of DIY and how to videos on youtube and unfortunately there is a lot of poor quality stuff out there. I just wanted to congratulate you and I have signed up as a subscriber!

The Elegoo Sooper Dooper kit is a gateway drug. Hanging out with Paul on TH-cam will soon have you buying more resistors and even capacitor assortments. I may need the 12 step program because I have already gotten into extra sensors and shields. If I buy a power supply or oscillator I will seek treatment.

Hi Paul! First, thank you very much for this review, and for the time invested in it. I'll be happy to ask- 1. For some reason amazon won't deliver the uno kit to my country, but it will deliver the one with the mega board. From what I understood the mega does offer more (although I'm an absolute beginner), but I wanted to ask if there might give me a hard time applying instructions given for an uno board to a mega (referring also to tutorials on the internet I'll hopefully use when time comes). Should that be a problem? I mean- does the mega just have more pins, better performance etc, or are the pins, for example, tagged in a different way which will make things frustrating? 2. From a few internet sites I saw, the book that comes with the official kit is clearer than others. just to make sure- there shouldn't be a problem using the official book with this kit, right? (Going back to the previous question- the official book refers to an uno board..). Thank you very much!
