Thanks bro! I found that lopper on the roadside and was like “if that can cut branches and fingers, it should be able to cut power cords and small copper pipes”. I have no need for it as I don’t own my own home or property. I rolled the dice on picking it up and glad I did. Thanks for watching man!!
Thanks so much! There sure was a lot of copper in those units! Oh it definitely wore me out! I started the video last Friday, worked on it all weekend, finished recording yesterday and did all the editing last night and after work today. Definitely my largest video and melt to date! Thanks a bunch for watching! 😀
Hey there! Thanks a bunch for saying that! I love pouring copper, I just wish the bars would come out a little better. Copper is one of the hardest metals to cast in my personal opinion. If you like pours, check out the huge aluminum bars I made in the video before that one. Those were also some nice pours in my opinion. Thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated! 🙂
Thanks a bunch man! I couldn't believe how much was in them. There was a total of 3 rads in the portable AC, one of them was a double rad and a single rad by itself. Lotsa copper, my fav metal! Thanks for watching buddy!
I see you switched your lifting tongs in this video. I prefer the ones that group the perimeter of the crucible. I've been told when you grab it on a side it tends to crack or break the crucible. Great pours!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Yes I switched them up. I normally use them but most of my melts have been lightweight compared to what I can really melt as far as weight. If the crucible is full I’ll use the lifter tongs. I need to make new ones though. The ones I made, I don’t trust. I rushed making them when I first started casting. They need to be bigger. Very awkward holding them. Thanks for watching bro!
I think that's a good call, not re-melting all the ingots. Seemslike extra effort and cost for a similar result. Boy, that motor didn't want to give up its copper. It wasn't as vengeful as that stator a few weeks ago, but still.
You are absolutely correct bro! I think it looks great the way it is, except for that ball of wire lol. Oh one of the stators was vengeful, I just edited that part out lol. A lot of cussin’ 🤣
Thank you very much! I definitely enjoyed doing the series and I'm glad you enjoyed it. There will be another series in the near future! I bought the furnace. It's made by Devil-Forge. One of their first-generation models before they started putting their name on the furnaces. They are a bit pricey but well worth it in my opinion. You can definitely build your own furnace at a fraction of the price. I just don't have the time or patience to try building one myself. Thanks for watching the series buddy! 😀
I’ll definitely be scrapping them out from now on. I literally see them everywhere on the roadside. I always pick them up. I used to sell them to the scrapyard whole after I cut off the cord 🤣. I wont be doing that anymore! (Selling to scrapyard that is). 😉
Great. I never would've thought to use a box cutter to remove the tubes within the aluminum. Love it.
Me either! Charles Lanier and a few other subscribers told me about that trick! It definitely is a time saver!!! Thanks for watching buddy!
It never occurred to me that a lopper could cut through copper tubing. Very productive video!

Now that was a four-letter word, WORK...lol
Nice work and good job getting that Copper!!!
🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻🔥🔥💯💯
Lol yeah tell me about it bro. That video took me four days to compile. Finally glad it’s done! Thanks a bunch man 😁🔥🔥🔥
Nice big chunky copper bars!! Love them!😃
I love me some chunky copper 🤤
This one is definitely one of you finest breakdown and melt videos. Well worth watching again
Thanks brother I really appreciate it! There’s going to be way more breakdown vids coming up in the next few weeks.
I'm really surprised at how much copper was in the portable A/C. Great video....I bet it wore you out. Thanks for keeping Mr entertained 😀

Your pouring skills are very nice😊

Nice video😊
Thanks a bunch and thanks for watching! 😎👊🏼🍻
Awesome video!!!
Thank you very much! Glad you liked it 😁
Super video bro
Thanks a bunch bro! It kicked the crap out of me! I wont be doing any double AC teardowns in the near future, that's for sure 🤣
Awesome video man! Lots of copper in those A/Cs.

Awesome 💥 👍
Thanks a bunch! 😁🔥🔥🔥
What happened to the Freon? I never see how they safely remove the gas
The unit had a pinhole in the ACR prior to me picking it up off the side of the road. All the freon was depleted before I started tearing it down.

@@Scrap2Cast Frikkin' stators, man! It's like they don't want to come apart!
Yeah they suck bro! Lol
I enjoyed your blue pallet series I was wondering if you made your smelter or baught it?

AC units might be a pain but they always come up big on copper
I’ll definitely be scrapping them out from now on. I literally see them everywhere on the roadside. I always pick them up. I used to sell them to the scrapyard whole after I cut off the cord 🤣. I wont be doing that anymore! (Selling to scrapyard that is). 😉
